BEST SINGLE RP: Not Sure. I was impressed by Kiri. A fantastic first showing for him. Whealdon's first was phenomenal though.

BEST RP BATTLE: Kiri/Bryant

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: I wrote 3 of them, so I'm abstaining from this.

SEGMENT OF THE NIGHT: The World's Longest Tag Team

BEST STORYLINE/ANGLE: I'm looking forward to delving more into Dentari/Cage. I have a couple of ideas where we can take it and hopefully it should be good.

SURPRISE OF THE NIGHT: Surprise of the week across both shows really, that'll be the quality of the new guys. Vagabond, Shazam and Kiri all brought it this week. Kudos to all of them. This'll be exactly the same for Heritage I think.

MOMENT OF THE NIGHT: Dan Ryan's window talk. It's right there.

FACE OF THE NIGHT: With Lord Dargno's turn, do we even have any faces other than Booya?

HEEL OF THE NIGHT: Alceo - Even though he's me

SHOW MVP: Kiri for picking up the first win in the main event on his debut.

SHOW RATING: 8/10

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN BETTER: Same old story. Results delay.

MISC. THOUGHTS: I'm going to have a little moan. We all want to read these results. We all want to see these shows. We all want Defiance to thrive... right? I know I do, which is why I threw out the offer to help numerous times, which led to me writing three matches. Now, I'm not trying to sound like a martyr or something, I'm just stating a fact. I wanted these results to come out, as I'm sure most of you did.

Anyone that gets antsy about the delay in the results, that then doesn't make an effort to say "Is there anything I can do to help?" doesn't have any right to complain when the shows are delayed. That's a fact.

So next time, if the results are delayed, rather than admonishing Justin, Jeff or anyone for their delay, take one of these two options. Help out or keep it to yourself.

I'd much rather it if people took the first option though.

I wasn't bothered by the card delay. The move to the fwrestling forums, the efforts to reconstruct the website, trying to incorporate the Backstage 3 elements...and the delightful distraction of the Ultratitle going on at the same time...it all added up to a scenario where a little bit of patience should be expected.

And, if you know anything about my e-wrestling history, you know that I will forever live in the most glass house ever made, when it comes to card delays...don't expect me to ever throw any stones.

I joined Defiance just to handle--something I've rarely done in my e-fedding career. As such, I will never complain about card delays. If I ever feel like complaining, I know that I should first offer to help.

As someone who has been thinking about joining Defiance for a long time, I was honored to finally be participating...much less see Niklas Kiri's match moved to the main event. The RP battle between Jack Bryant and Niklas Kiri was a classic "styles clash" situation--with Jack offering up some surgical strikes that undercut the blather that Niklas being bathed in. I was proud of what I wrote, but I was by no means assured of it being successful here against a more established character who gave a good reason that he would win. (Thanks, Damien, for being complimentary in your feedback.)

I too liked Whealdon's first RP, by the way. Teaming him with Rich Mahogany should be very entertaining!

My surprise of the night was that it was Mike Sloan making the post-match Kiri-rage save on behalf of Jack Bryant. Definitely twists the Rubik's Cube and jumbles up the colors in their story a bit more.

As someone new to actively handling here in Defiance, I can't say that I completely understand the ****bolts/Goldman dynamic yet...or how other wrestlers will interact with them in the future. That's not really a criticism as it is entertaining to read...I'm just not qualified to comment very much on it.

The Goldman/Dentari dynamic, on the other hand, I totally get. It is a more traditional wrestling plot thread...and it should be interesting to see how the Evo-leader and the Evo-manager can co-exist and possibly thrive in the weeks to come.

Beyond that, I'm not entirely sure of what storylines are being developed--nor, perhaps, should I...as Kiri & Anger are just noobs, blindly wandering into the Evo-woods hoping not to get eaten immediately. As Damien pointed out, the Evo-roster is pretty much a bunch of heels occasionally quarreling with each other. With some recent roster churn and many of us trying to find our footing, it might take some effort and time to see some grander scope...some on-going feuds/story arcs/etc.

My focus on this show was to get Nikas Kiri debuted. That's done. Now, we'll see what stories he has to tell and how those stories interact with the stories of the other wrestlers here. Hopefully it'll turn into something compelling.

As far as the show itself, I have no real complaints (and considering how well I was represented in the show, it would be rather churlish of me to have some.) That said, I'm still getting used to short form matches--not a complaint, I'd rather get a paragraph in a reasonable amount of time than wait until the twelfth of never for a fully written match...but it is harder for me to say "Yes, that was a good one" or "That could have been better." They all did what they were supposed to do and thank you to those who wrote them for their effort in making this all fun for all of us.

Here's my biggest critical comment...and it's less specific to Defiance as it is to the way that cards are built and written in modern e-fedding: One of the hazards of producing shows in pieces (as I learned from my short time in the WWA) is a certain amount of disjointedness. The show starts with Dentari *****ing to Goldman about being moved out of the main event--but no explanation is given for why the main event was changed...and no build during the show for what the main event was going to be... Things just sort of happen, one after another, in pretty much the order that they were assigned in the format sheet...but really things should be more entwined with each other to make a more cohesive and compelling whole--actions have reactions, tension should be built and then released, shows should build anticipation and expectations and then enjoy the drama of having those expectations met, subverted or transcended.

The parts that we handlers can't really contribute in this segmented style are the parts of the show that explain "what is this?" and "why is this important?" and "what happens now?"

I've read Defiance shows in the past that did those things very well...which was one of the major factors in my wanting to handle here. I expect good things in the future and I will work very hard as a handler to help those things to keep happening.

Seriously, Justin is going to love you if this is the level of your feedback each week.

I'm fully aware that 90% of us aren't 'bothered' by the delays, but while the quality isn't hurt by the delays, the anticipation certainly dips.

In regards to my misc thoughts, There are guys that will bring it up in PMs or IMs, and when it's simply asking "Where are the results?" I'd rather hear of people asking the question, "What can I do to help the results get out sooner?".

Of course that doesn't apply to you, AngerManagement, but there are/were guys out there doing it.

I thought it was stunning when Dragon and Folding Chair reunited. Stunning and sensual.

(I've been working a lot lately so this level of feedbax is amazing)

I've just come back to this thread to revel in the fact that I impressed one person.

Thanks Damien!

Speaking to the Fuck/b/olt-Goldman Dynamic, It's something I'm still feeling out, I picked up an angle that kind of got left hanging, so I'm transitioning it from what it was, to what it will be. Unless you happen to be a huge fan of my off the wall comedy, there isn't a super deep backstory to go check out.
