(Deacon. He's on screen. He's wearing clothes. The background is boring black.)

D: Battle of t'e belts. I look at setup, and I lose all sense of normalcy in wrestling. Stanley teaming wit' me. Professionals teaming wit' me. On t'e ot'er side, I see guys I never faced. I am alone, not sure where I fit. Some say I t'e vet that still cares for CSWA. Maybe I should go for Guns, aim my sights at him to eliminate what he try to do to CSWA. I could, but we all know that what he try won't happen. And if I go for him, I have to tag out to my partners... his partners. I could go for Troy, t'at could be interesting. Or Southern and Adler, neither man I have had any history wit'. For t'e first time, I am in t'e ring wit' a new CSWA, one t'at I not a part of anymore.

Like Abraham, I stranger in strange land. Just like Abraham, I will go where God send me. And like Abraham, I not know what happen. All i know, I might need help to navigate t'is place ... but t'at is up to God.... t'at is all up to God.

Deacon,

Let me help you find your place in the new CSWA. I've heard a lot about you, and I'm sure you've heard a lot about me - we're both considered legends in the annals of CSWA history, but our paths have never intersected until now.

Once upon a time, Deacon, you may have had the strength to stand up to me - you may have had the strength to mount the kind of defense of the CSWA that might actually succeed. At least the Deacon of legend may have - but I've watched you since you came back, Deacon, and believe me - what you've done - the mountains you've climbed just to get back in that ring, they're impressive, and I'm not going to take anything away from you.

And the truth of the matter, Deacon, is that I would sooner destroy a stained glass window than to go down in history as the man who sent the almighty Deacon back to the scrap heap that he rose up from. I may be a lot of things, Deacon, but I've never seen myself as a man who would take physical liberties with the sick and the weak.

At the same time, Deacon, it would be a great Cinderella story - for you to advance to the battle royal - for you to earn a CSWA World Heavyweight title shot - for you to have one last time in the sun. But this isn't a Disney movie, Deacon - this is reality.

Here's where you stand in the CSWA now, Deacon - a special attraction, a glorified freak show. You're not a threat to me, Deacon, and you know it. So, do yourself a favor and listen to Eddie when he tells you to hold the tag rope and follow his lead at the Battle of the Belts. Hop on the Intruder Express, stay out of the way, and hopefully we'll get you to the battle royal. Because if you walk into that ring, Deacon, reality is going to set in - either in the form of a Shane Southern superkick to your jaw, or an abdominal stretch - NO! ADLERPLEX planting you into the canvas, or worse yet, the filthiest pervert in the history of the CSWA hooking you from behind and driving you into the mat with the Slacknife. Quite frankly, Deacon, the very thought of Troy Windham pinning you is enough to make me lose my lunch.

I hope this talk was helpful for you, Deacon. One day, our paths might cross again - but at Battle of the Belts, whether you believe it or not, we're on the same side. If that's a source of discomfort for you, I don't give a damn.

Because if you get uppity with me, Deacon, I'll make sure that you become more than just a sideshow attraction - I'll make sure that you become a souvenir for some lucky fan, courtesy of Third Row, Inc.

Guns, It funny... when I began, you just leaving. When I left, you just coming back. And now, we meet each ot'er for first time.

Lot of t'ings have changed since my 'legendary status'. One of t'em is t'at I am looked at as man passed his prime, a 'freak show'. I passing attraction... you can almost see billboard saying - "Come watch Deacon in his farewell tour". Heaven, I must be honest & say I t'ought about it. T'e CSWA schedule, as hit or miss as it is, may be too much. I lost a step, or t'at what t'ey say. I not what I was.

T'en at Battle of Belts, and more likely afterward, we find out what I am. Maybe my 'spot', whatever the heaven that mean, belong to Stevens. Maybe I will work backstage... leave t'e wrestling to better men, stronger men... men of vigor - like I use to be when my fait's evidence was backed up by a 500 pound benchpress.

Or maybe at Battle of Belts, I take t'is damnable MS and send it to hell... FINALLY. Or maybe I look to t'e heavens and see a thousand angels coming to my side, to lift my enemies over my head, to show strength where there is none.

Or maybe I see you in 3rd row.

Or maybe... I not see next day.

OR MAYBE... THE FREAK SHOW LOOKS TO THE HEAVENS, SCREAMS AT HIS GOD... BECAUSE I CAN TELL YOU THIS MUCH, *HE* SENT ME HERE... TO LIVE... TO DIE...

to do what *He* says. I not know why... I gave up trying awhile back.

Or maybe, I just let God be God... and I go in t'ere to do what I do... or did - as most will say of t'is freak. And if he send me home in way t'at is not becoming... publicly embarrasses me... t'en t'at is ok. I not care, cause years ago, t'is might be about me. But t'at was when I could walk better, when my fait' was evidenced by my strength. I all out of strength...I weak.

And unlike t'en... t'at ok now. I spoke of fait' before... at t'e Battle of t'e belts...

I need it...

it all I got left.

Deacon,

I hope you don't think too poorly of me when I say this, but...

HE can't help you at Battle of the Belts. HE has no place here in the CSWA - in fact, have you ever seen Chad Merritt and Satan in the same place? Just curious.

It's tough to accept, when you begin losing a step. It's even tougher to accept when you're cut down in the prime of your career, whether it be by injury (taps his knee) or debilitating illness. What you've done to this point is nothing short of remarkable, Deacon - it's the feel-good story of the year.

Which is why I don't want you to ruin it by doing something stupid - by getting your head kicked off by Shane Southern... by getting wrestled into knots by Tom Adler - or the most disturbing thought of all, letting a filthy piece of trash like Troy Windham get his grubby little paws on you and fluke you with the Slacknife the way he did Eddie Mayfield in Virginia Beach.

No, Deacon - you stand on the apron, you smile, you wave to the fans, and you come into the ring and make the save if it looks like Eddie or Craig are going to get pinned. That's your role at Battle of the Belts, and if you play it well, you get one more day in the sun - you get to the battle royal where you'll clearly be the sentimental favorite to win.

In fact, I can't think of anything more fitting for the CSWA than to have the next Anniversary show headlined by Hornet or Mark Windham versus a former legend who has been reduced to a glorified freak show. (Smiles.) I like the sound of that, Deacon. In fact, you don't need Jerry Lewis to run a telethon for you, because we're presenting you with charity Intruder style.

Battle of the Belts, Deacon, it's your moment in the sun.

All you have to do is be willing to take it. HE can't help you get there. But the Intruders can.

Think about it, Deacon, and place your faith...

in us.
