This past Saturday EFedKnights.com announced that the Experts Extreme Tournament would be open to any ewrestler, with or without allegiances to the Experts! Just three days prior to opening registrations, Matthews Wrestling Medias President Lindsay Matthews announced that the attention of InterAction Wrestling Federation scouts would be on the ET2011 through it’s entirety.
While registrations do not open until May 28, Matthews confirmed her brother, Johnny Vivacious, plans to enter and compete as one of the forty-eight registrants.
In addition, she insinuated that an unnamed IAWFe contracted talent would also be potentially registering for the tournament as a way to brush off the ring rust before making a full fledged return to action.
Conspicuous by his absence, as once again the youngest Matthews was not accompanied by her fiancee, was former IAWFe Champion Justin “Stormm” Michaels. Michaels, an IAWFe cornerstone, is highly expected to make a return by the IAWFe faithful; however, to date, no announcement has been made. It appears that Stormm, currently contracted to Pure Class Wrestling, remains focused on chasing the PCW Championship.
Coming off of a recent loss in PCW where he failed to capture the PCW North American Championship, Vivacious has taken a voluntary leave to see to other personal and professional business. Not only is he assisting in the reopening of the IAWFe and competing in the ET2011, he and his wife Stace are expecting their first child to arrive early July.
Vivacious has both competed and judged RoughKut Tournaments in the past as well as promoted the 2005 Memorial Tournament in tribute to his late father, renowned promoter Joseph Remington Matthews. While he wasn’t available for comment, his sister seemed confident in his ability to throw his hat into the tournament.
Fans can keep up with the ET2011 at EFedKnights.com and, as always, are invited to join in on the hype of the returning IAWFe at the Community Forums or the MWM Corporate Blog.
