-FNV 05 will be up tomorrow night. I made major headway on it this weekend, all segments are written, and it's basically down to one match which I'm told will be in soon.

-Concerning the league's lack of consistency: sorry, my fault. Look, the problem isn't that I don't have time for the hobby. Obviously, I'm all over the place in terms of participation, and really that's what's affecting NLW. When I do get time to write, it's usually devoted to my characters in other feds. Right now, I'm in about 4 leagues where my characters are deeply involved in storylines that require me to write a lot of segments and promos. On top of that, I help out NFW with their matchwriting and website. The truth is, I place priority on being a handler over being a fedhead. That doesn't mean I don't like running a fed- on the contrary, I love writing FNV shows and our roster is my favorite on FWC in terms of enjoyability. But there's a lot I want to accomplish with my main characters, and that's really where my motivation is right now. This doesn't mean I'm closing the league- not a chance. All it means is, the original promise I made about every show being out in 1 week's time has gone to sh*t. Sorry, it's just not doable right now. That doesn't mean we can't be more consistent and keep everything moving at a decent pace, which brings me to my next note...

-Card writers. Currently there are two writers: me and Mike Stanton. As handlers, we're pretty much in the same boat, because that's where our main focus has and will continue to be for the foreseeable future. Mike writes two matches per card for NLW, in addition to a major chunk of EPW, and matches here and there for A1E. I write 2-3 matches for NLW, the opening, commercials, and I edit the segments, as well as writing for NFW. So while FNV isn't exactly the longest show in the world, with all things considered a little help might make the difference in keeping this train moving. I probably won't start a 'call for writers' thread every card, but instead I'd like to recruit one or two people to help.

So here's what I need:

Position: Matchwriter
Spots Open: 2
Duties: WRITE...F*CKING...MATCHES! You can write commercials too, if ya like. Matches need not be longer than 2-3 pages (hint: 3 pages is when they usually stop reading). NLW is all about capturing people's attention for the maximum time span a human will allot for fantasy wrestling. I'd rather people give an approving thumbs up for 3 pages that they read than scroll through 35 pages and mark out.
Style/Experience: "Whatever" on both counts. If you're interested but aren't sure of yourself due to no experience writing matches, just take the plunge and don't worry about it. Writing matches really isn't too difficult. Just do what everybody else does, and rip off spots from all your favorite childhood matches (they're available on YouTube), and throw in a couple dick jokes for good measure. It's the NLW way. What I'm really looking for is someone who takes time to understand people's characters, and write them as they were meant to be written. It's not a difficult task, you just need to read their bios and write accordingly. Writing characters the correct way is the most important aspect of good match writing, and it's the one thing that gets overlooked the most. League interest is ALL ABOUT THE CHARACTERS- everything else is secondary. So focus on that rather than "Spotfest 2010: This sh*t just got real!" If people had a choice between reading a spot they included in their bio, or reading their guy get powerbombed through eight flaming tables and 15 pitbulls that haven't been fed for weeks are unleashed to feast on his burning skin..AND HE KICKS OUT ON TWO!...they'd choose the spot from their bio. At least I would.

1 or 2 guys to write 1 or 2 matches/commercials, at a length no longer than your average promo.

If anybody's interested, PM me about it or reply here.

As noted, FNV 05 is out tomorrow night, and the PPV threads will go up afterwards.

Just wanted to reiterate that the card is going up tonight, and it's looking f*ckin' BEAUTIFUL! Seriously, it's our best one yet, hands down. Best segments, most entertaining matches, and most progression of storyline we've seen thus far. I'm pretty excited for it. Hopefully 1 or 2 of you are still out there!
