Name: Matt Johansson

Height: 6'4"

Weight: 225 lbs

Image: His Scandinavian/Continental European ancestry has gifted him with fair-skinned, blue-eyed but still rugged good looks. He recently cut his hair, reducing what had been for years a long, blond mullet into a closely trimmed style. His in-ring attire consists of half-tights patterned in either red and blue, red and white, or blue and yellow, with matching boots for each. He sports a tattoo merging the U.S., Swedish and Canadian flags on his left shoulderblade. He'll wear a gaudy and somewhat silly looking rhinestone studded ring robe or vest that matches whatever color his ring gear is on that day, which always sports a stylized "MJ" on the back.

Hometown: Long Island, New York

Entrance Music: "Tubthumping" Chumbawamba

Entrance Description: The lights go dark, and strobes flicker around the arena as the low synthesizer opening plays. Five seconds later, the inimitable voice of Pete Postlewaite kicks in...

"Truth is, I thought it mattered. I thought that music mattered. But does it? Bollocks. Not compared to our people matter."

We'll be singing, when we're winning.
We'll be singing...

BOOM! One loud burst of pyro and the familiar chorus kicks in as Matt Johansson makes his way to the ring, putting on a combination of ridiculous strutting, spinning around and crowd taunting. He slides under the bottom rope, then spins around once in the middle of the ring before flinging off his ring jacket.

Finisher: Slapshot Driver (Muscle Buster)

Set-Up: Springboard Lariat followed by a whip to the corner and a running splash

Finisher 2: Unbreakable Small Package~!

Style: Technical brawler w/ martial arts skills. He's got better wrestling skills than he lets on and he's naturally a great athlete, but sometimes his hockey goon instincts take over and he just wants to get into a slugfest. He'll also throw in a lot of over-the-top showy spots a la someone like Chris Hero.

Jumping Leg Lariat
Muay Thai Knee Strikes
Hip Toss followed by a stiff kick to the opponents back

Signature Spots

Shining Wizard
"Johansson Special '09" German Superplex rolled into a Camel Clutch

Wrestles As: An over-the-top, goofball wacky heel. Tries to both show off and cheat, but generally fails in a comic manner at doing either.

History: Matt Johansson is the son of Nils Johansson, former NHL and Swedish National Hockey Team star. Matt grew up travelling, but eventually, after his father's retirement, settled in Long Island. Matt had some promise as a hockey player but a career on the ice never panned out. He thought about a boxing career, but after meeting Bryan Storms at a Manhattan bar, Matt was quickly turned on the the world of professional wrestling, where he and Bryan had some success in EPW as Second Coming.

He briefly competed in NFW's Ultratitle Season 1 in the North, but washed out relatively quickly due to immaturity and inexperience.

However, Matt left wrestling in 2005 and has spent the last 18 months as the co-owner and operator of the Cannonball Pub on Long Island, where he currently spends 4 to 6 nights a week running the kitchen. However, he's always felt he owes Bryan, who was a major investor in the bar, a major debt, and when Bryan called him up about re-forming Second Coming, he left the Cannonball and obliged.
