So we've had a couple questions come in regarding how things will work with BATTLEMANIA and I just wanted to clear up anything on people's minds so that we can continue to move forward with this project.

First, let me say a very big thank you to everyone who has signed up with characters at this point.

Is BATTLEMANIA an Intergender Event? As you can see by looking at the applications, many females have thrown their name into the hat, or ring as it is. The event is best described as a 30 person over the top rope timed entrance battle royal. 30 person, not 30 man.

I've turned in an Application, will I be accepted? So long as you have filled out all parts of the application and provided all of the necessary information, you are in! There is no judging your application to see if we like the character. If you signup, you're in!

- So to the 18 people who have signed up already, congrats, you're in.

Is the 3,000 word limit a hard-cap? It is. With 30 people scheduled to take part in the event, that's 30 roleplays that the judges must read in order to judge a winner of the match. We are all involved in various EFeds and such. We wanted to set a limit that was enough room for you to tell a story but also not going to kill us to try and read 30 roleplays.

What if I write 3,001 words? Find something in your writing that you can take out. Most text editor programs these days have a word count feature. Use it to your advantage. Try to tell the best story you can possibly tell within the max of 3,000 words. If you go over 3,000 your roleplay will not be count and you will be disqualified from the event. We have to set such a strict limit because if one person posts 3,001 words, then the next posts 3,002 and the next posts 3,015 and so on, how do we tell on of them they didn't follow the rules but the other two did? We can't, thus 3,000 words max.

How will the judges decide who has won? The judges will read each roleplay, then rank them according to who they feel had the best all the way down to who had the "worst." The judges will then compare their lists and come up with a final list of the rankings from 1-30. I can not promise that feedback will be given on each roleplay as that's up to the amount of time that the judge has to do such a thing.

Can we meet the judges? We are currently in the process of scheduling out a judges episode of the EFed Guerilla Radio (Podcast) so that we can all talk about the things that we look for in roleplays. We would have to have this episode on the air before roleplaying starts, therefore if that is not possible due to timing and scheduling, we have alternate ways of getting you info on the judges. For example; judges recording pre-taped interviews talking about their style and the things they look for. Or simply posting a thread here on the forums, with a run down of what each person likes and dislikes and looks for in roleplays.

Any more questions, comments or concerns, can be posted here as replies.

Where is the location of this battle royal? Can't seem to find it written anywhere.

A made up venue called The Jungle which is in Brazil was what Jorden and I compromised on, if I remember correctly.

I wanted it to be in Parts Unknown, because it's beautiful there this time of year, but yeah.
