As you may have noticed, the color scheme for New ERA's site has changed. Likewise, I pushed a new theme for everyone on the forums. This is in preparation. Preparation for what, you ask?

Well, as some of you might already know, thanks to the havoc that it caused on FWCentral, New ERA is going home. When New ERA started way back in 2004, our forums were hosted on FWCentral. When we started this second iteration of New ERA in 2011, I decided that we would have our own forums. This was based mostly on three things. First, FWCentral was getting pretty barren. Most feds I saw had their own forums. I wanted to see if that would work for us. Second, and in relation to the first, I wanted to have complete control over the forums. With the lack of activity on FWCentral, getting new accounts approved sometimes took longer than I'd have liked. If I wanted to change a forum, I had to wait for Chad to sign on and do it. Third, FWCentral's profanity filter. I hated it.

Luckily, when I finally decided to post C13 and re-tool Season 3, I noticed that all three of those things have changed. FWCentral is hopping again. They pulled in a bunch of feds. EFG has brought activity back to the board. I've been told that thanks to changes in spam control, account approval isn't the bureaucracy that it used to be. The profanity filter is gone. When I was looking to get a new site designed for New ERA, I got some great news. Things are looking up over at FWrestling.com, and I think it is only right that New ERA be a part of that.

So, over the next few days, New ERA will be transitioning back to FWCentral as our forum host. I didn't want there to be such a huge discrepency when you went from the neon-green of our website to the nice blues of FWCentral's forums, so that was the reason for the color-scheme change. Chad has been working diligently over the past couple of days testing the forum transfer. I've changed some usernames on the board to coincide with the usernames on FWCentral so that posts here will be attributed to your accounts over there. A test run last night ran into some issues, but Chad is working on that.

If you have an account on FWCentral already, there's nothing to do. If you don't have an account on FWCentral already, I believe that the forum transfer will create one for you automatically. I'll have to double-check with Chad.

In the next month or so, there'll be more changes coming. New ERA will be getting a new website. Unfortunately my web design skills only go so far.. but I've been offered a great deal, and I'm taking it. More details to come.

Things are looking good right now and I'm very excited to be going home.

It looks like the forum transfer keeps breaking FWCentral.

At this point, I think we're not going to transfer over the posts.. just redirect to these forums.

OR, I can go ahead and just go ahead and cut and paste all the RPs here in new threads there.

I'll have to think about which I'd prefer to do.
