Hey guys. As you can I see, I posted all the necessary info threads and locked them for posterity. If anyone out there has any questions, comments, or other general feedback regarding #OpenPromo, here's your chance. This is as new to me as it is to you, so I'm excited as we blindly push forward on this.

There's no doubt that some of it will be figured out along the way, but for now, I'd love to know what you think, or answer any points of confusion.

I've been thinking about hosting either a Deathmatch tournament or a Super Juniors tournament for quite some time now. The problem is, I don't know if I could dedicate the writers to producing results.

Does #OP have a solution for this?

There isn't a solution per se - if nobody wants to write it, then that's that. But the benefit to this fotum is that you can put out a call for participants and writers across the community as opposed to just Defiance, and you need not worry about the embarrassment of getting mods to.make you a tournament forum only to have to cancel when people crap out. Just use the booker's channel here.

With that said, I'm a realist. The vision for #OpenPromo is going to take time in terms of getting everyone comfortable with an open-ended "non-fed" where you can basically do what you want. So for the beginning phases, I will personally lend a hand to people with big ideas for tourneys or cards and see if I can help bring writers on board to help them, or provide some writing myself.

You should make a post in the Booking forum that lays out the format and vision for the tournament, and put out a call for feedback and/or participants. I'll also IM you about what I can do to help.
