Hello,

About 15 to 16 years ago, when I was a young wrestling fan in high school I discovered a little hobby known as e-wrestling. The fed I joined was called Primetime Championship Wrestling, which I see is actually still a website at http://pcw.ewmuseum.com/.

While there I wrestled (or role played) under the name “The Innovator” Brock Newbludd, and enjoyed success in the tag team division with my partner “The New Legend” Stephen Blood, collectively we were known as “The Blood Brothers”.

I was a very active participant during my time there and thoroughly enjoyed the whole process of being apart of a e-fed. Not only did it help me hone my writing skills, but I also got to do something that involved one of my favorite passions pro-wrestling. Also, I met a lot of great people during my stay there and enjoyed talking about PCW or just life in general on MSN Messenger, which I’m not sure even exists anymore.
On my drive home from work today, I thought about e-wrestling and the good times I had while doing it. This lead me to here and I’m very happy to see that e-fedding is still a hobby/passion for wrestling fans and creative writers around the world. I still can’t believe there’s actual radio shows/podcasts that cover it!

Needless to say, I’m thinking about knocking the rust off of the promo cutting gears in my brain and maybe trying a fed out. I'm hoping that there might be some people left over from the old PCW days who I could reconnect with and point me in the right direction federation-wise, and it would be good nostalgia to see who is around, if anybody.

Here’s a link to my old bios if my name rings a bell to anybody.

You were before my time over in PTC but there are quite a few PCW/PTC people over here in both DEFIANCE and LoC. These are angle feds, though, not RP feds, and both rosters are capped at the moment.

NBW, also an angle fed, is looking for handlers and I would suggest you check them out. http://thenbw.com/

Thanks, after I wrote that I realized that it's been like 16 years since I was e-fedding so it would probably be a long shot to find anyone from back then.

Quick question, it might make me sound like a newbie, but how does a angle fed differ from a roleplay fed?

Straight from our "This is DEFIANCE" info doc, courtesy of James:

ANGLED vs. RP / HOBBY vs. GAME… The main difference between DEFIANCE (and other angled groups) versus standard, competitive roleplay (RP) efeds is that our’s is the very definition of a hobby. Competitive groups are almost entirely a singular, self-reliant experience, where your primary objective is to win or risk falling behind and / or getting caught up in ego-based struggles. Angled, however, is a collaborative experience where telling the best story with one or more partners is the primary objective, which allows you to pour all of your creative energy into your writing. Basically, angled efedding is the closest example of how professional wrestling works IRL, where people are working together to put on the best show possible.

I was in the PCW VERY, VERY briefly. I was Picasso, the Last Ninja Turtle. I got a fairly positive response for the few role-plays I did and then, well, I quit then federation and...gasp...advertised for my federation in my going away post. It was really a faux pas on my part--I didn't realize how obnoxious I was being. But it lead to a comedy of errors between me and some PCW guys that wanted to get the address of the federation I ran so that they could destroy or something or rather. One of them sent me an e-mail trying to trick me into giving away my fed address. Obviously, I was being pretty dumb, but I'm sure its all water under the bridge and kind of funny water on the bridge at that.

People mature and though I am far from mature, I realize now how absurd my actions were. I actually wish I had stuck around in the PCW, other than the fact that running my own federation plus college was just too much for a mess like me already. Not long ago, I was with the XWF and though I stayed longer, I didn't enjoy it as much as I think I would have enjoyed the PCW. PCW seemed much more kayfabe and role-playing oriented. Which is what I like. It isn't my cup of tea when things are obviously just a promo-writing contest or even worse--for my tastes--an insult contest. I like escapism.
