The podcast is done and half the brackets are revealed! You can listen to it simply by using the player in the right-hand sidebar, or if you'd like to listen to it via iTunes or a separate player, simply go to http://blogtalkradio.com/fwrestling and click on the button. Ford is also posting it to iTunes as part of the E-Fed Guerillas podcast -- if you search for E-Fed, you'll get it.

Thanks to the 58 live listeners we had during the 2 hour show and to everyone in the chat room. Thanks also to Warren and Stanton as the on-the-spot judges, and to the folks who called in.

The original "Judges Podcast" continues to get some listeners. We're at about 200 and have beaten out all the recent podcasts in the "Hobbies" category with the exception of "Drew Emborsky: The CROCHET DUDE." We have taken about the My Little Ponies, we have defeated the "Getting Loopy" podcast -- it's time to take Crochet Dude down. ;)

Any suggestions/thoughts for Thursday's reveal of the other half of the bracket? I think it's Pete and Stanton joining me. We'll try to take some callers like we did this evening to break things up. Any issues with sound quality, chat, etc.?

Thanks again!

Was a lot of fun. Would be more than willing to call in with bracket observations for 3 and 4 again if needed.

Have to say... I'm impressed with how many votes Ikan Jobtayoo is getting. LOL.

Chad... are we allowed to post an RP for our jobbers?

Will most certainly return Thursday as well. These "mid-week" broadcasts are well-scheduled and easy to get into.

I think it'd be cool to hear from people in brackets 3 and 4 about their matches and if there is anyone in those brackets they are most looking forward to facing and stuff like that.

As one of the "on the spot guys", it was SO helpful having you throw your opinion in. I knew I was shooting in the dark w/ about 75% or more of the field, so having a true expert on many of those was terrific! THANKS!

Chad, or any of the judges with knowledge -

How were the matchups determined?

Was just a randomizer or did you actually choose who faced who by seeding or some other method?

Was just a randomizer or did you actually choose who faced who by seeding or some other method?

Here's the methodology I used:
1) I put everyone in a "group" based on where they're from to ensure diversity across the brackets. For example, "active FW" was a group, "returning FW" was a group, "DEFIANCE" was a group -- in essence any group of 5 or more. The biggest group was "Other". I then put all those names on note cards and randomly divided them into 4 brackets of 32. I have a list that shows how the groups broke down, etc. It's not perfectly by bracket and wasn't intended to be.

2) I took the groups of 32 and put them into Challonge and used it's built in "seed randomizer." I reviewed each bracket and made minor changes where needed -- for example, if two jobbers were matched against each other. In some cases I simply randomized again.

I did use any "booking" methodology or look ahead to see who might get to the Final Four, etc. Tried to keep it as open and random as possible.

It was a fun show. I'm dreading/excited about a few people in my bracket, and then listening to the podcast made me even more anxious/nervous. Did this today for my office so I can track everything.)

LOL @ SpookyDoom making the call out of one of my past guys, Captain Obvious.

Overall, I really enjoyed the format of the podcast. Looking forward to listening to the next one. This tournament is stacked.

Enjoyed the podcast, but kept hearing about a chat room and couldn't find where it was. Can anyone link me to it so I can drop in and say hello?

There is no link. If you are on the page before the show starts, then as soon as it starts hit the refresh button and the chat will be at the bottom. I sign in using my FB account, but you can be a guest, too...

Thought it might be helpful tonight - for both FW and non-FW members - if some reviews of the Hype RPs - might help point to what the judges are looking for/what is successful and unsuccessful as the RPing period starts.

Looking forward to DLing it.

I think Spooky Doom speaks better English than his character does. I call GHOST WRITER (no pun intended). The chances are really good, actually, that it's Gregg Gethard in disguise.
