Hair Color: Brown
Eye Color: Blue

Bio:
Steve is the second son of Earl Knox, a professional wrestler turned actor who died in 2001 in an accident on the set of his third movie.

A mainstay of the Squared Circle since 2005, Steve has been wrestling around the independants since he was 16. A man who literally eats, sleeps, and drinks the business, Steve has put professional wrestling first at the cost of friends and family, and he's begun to feel the effects of such a lifestyle. He has few friends and nearly all of them are fellow wrestlers or people in the business, among said friends are Alexandria Malone, Coral Avalon, Miranda O'Reily, and some others. He does not get along with his equally successful wrestling brothers, Simon and Soren, despite their status as wrestlers.

Steve's success in the Squared Circle, in particular becoming the most decorated star in tSC's history, has caught the attention of other promoters like Craig Miles. Now he's in NFW and tSC at the same time, and lord knows which one will break him first.

My money's on this nuthouse, though.

Personality:
Steve Knox commonly likes to have people believe that he's an average guy who happens to be surrounded by unusual characters at times.

He is calm and laidback most of the time, but can take charge if necessary. However, Steve also seems incredibly arrogant at times, often boasting about his own "awesome" and frequently belittling opponents by telling them his weaknesses or how to counter his moves in order to give them a "fighting chance". However, Steve isn't that arrogant, he is just very, very self-confident in his own abilities and is known for backing up his confidence with his ability. His normal policy on opponents is simply "you're good, I'm better", so he doesn't completely sell his opponents short, anyway.

Steve is terrible at keeping up with pop culture, and any reference he makes is likely something he only recently learned. He can make references to shows he watched as a kid (like Scooby Doo or the Ninja Turtles), but anything recent is going to be lost on him, and he might stare at you like you're speaking Spanish or something. Because he's so devoted to wrestling, if you try talking to him about anything other than wrestling, he might come off as being aloof, ignorant, or uncaring. It's sort of how he is.

Don't mention the word "Pasadena" around him. It's like mentioning "the war" to a guy with PTSD. He won't like it too much.

Style:
Steve is a technical/power hybrid wrestler, focusing primarilly on suplexes, throws, and brawling. His style is aggressive, but resourceful... he likes to pound an opponent into virtual submission with his techniques, and in matches that have few to no rules, he'll take advantage of his enviroment as much as possible.

His style is a mix of John Cena's power and showmanship, Taz's use of suplexes, and RVD's cocky demeanor.

Steve's size and strength allow him the benefit of being able to suplex opponents in the 300-400 lbs. range, and he can even lift such opponents with great difficulty into a standing fireman's carry. He is also strong enough that his lariat (the Gold Rush) is potent even against much larger opponents. His strength is enough to easily match most other power wrestlers, although it should be noted he should not really try to match strength with much larger men, because a size difference will make him lose an advantage in leverage.

Steve is very calm and collected in the ring, but frustrating things such as not being able to get the three count or an opponent regularly belittling him and his efforts, or your random distraction from some douche heel can damage his calm and distract him. He likes to play to the crowd at times, usually when he has forced the heel out of the ring. He also likes to set up his moves somewhat telegraphed-like, like bouncing off two sets of ropes to hit the Gold Rush or stalking an opponent from behind before using the Gold Standard.

Steve has incurred various injuries over his career, and he admits that any one of his limbs (his left arm and his right leg in particular) could be used against him. He also doesn't resort to mat wrestling, although he admits that it's because he thinks mat wrestling is "kinda gay". That doesn't necessarilly mean that he can't fight out of mat wrestling situations, though.

When he makes his comebacks, he always shouts to the sky (kinda like Hulking up, really) and starts blitzing the other guy with punches, followed up by an array of suplexes and throws, before finishing with one of his finishers.

Early:
Double leg takedown, fireman's carry takedown, knee lift, one-handed scoop slam, back body drop, armdrag, arm wringer, drop toe hold, snap suplex, elbow strikes, punches.

Middle:
Belly-to-belly suplex, double underhook suplex, powerslam, fireman's carry flapjack, hard powerbomb, delayed vertical suplex, DDT, military press drop, back suplex, pendulum backbreaker, German suplex (w/bridge), barrage of elbows in the corner that ends with a dropkick, repeated short-arm shoulderblocks ending with a clothesline, Boston crab, rear choke, stomps, Exploder suplex, shoulderbreaker, Fujiwara armbar, single arm DDT.

Late:
Tombstone piledriver, gutwrench powerbomb, flying forearm, repeated back suplexes, capture suplex, belly-to-belly double arm suplex, Northern Lights suplex, half nelson suplex, superplex, belly-to-belly superplex, brainbuster, dragon suplex (w/bridge), overthrown German suplex that lands the opponent chest-first, wrist clutch leg cradle backdrop suplex, leg cradle german suplex (w/bridge), top rope clothesline, top rope elbow drop

Primary Finishers:
- The Gold Rush (Lariat)
It's simple. Steve rushes the opponent and smashes them in the head with his arm, knocking them down and probably out. This is Steve's primary finisher.

Steve isn't a small guy and he's really pretty strong, so the Gold Rush can easily pin opponents even if they happen to be larger than he is. A significantly larger opponent may still be standing if Steve hits them with the Gold Rush once, but a second or third attempt will always put them down. Steve usually hits this move after a charge into the ropes, but he can also hit a short-ranged lariat as well.

There exists a stronger version of the move called the "Rebound Gold Rush", where Steve is somehow knocked through the top and middle ropes, rocks back and then suddenly rocks back forward and annihilates the opponent with his lariat. This is also known as a "Jawbreaker Lariat" (popularized by Nigel McGuinness). Steve can also hit the Gold Rush off the second rope, sometimes while the opponent is straddling the top rope (again, this is a McGuinness move).

The standard Gold Rush will usually get the three. The Rebound version will almost always get the three, but it's rarer and often happens by accident, because it's not something Steve does intentionally. The second rope Gold Rushes will definitely get the three, but they're also situational.

- The Gold Hammer (Fireman's carry powerslam)
Steve's pick-up-and-drop finisher. Like many of his finishers, it's pretty simple. He lifts you on his shoulders, then as he drops you over like he's doing a Death Valley Driver, only he slams them in the style of a powerslam by rotating himself in the middle of the move.

It's mostly a finisher to use on smaller guys he can pick up, but Steve has incredible enough power that he can lift a 400-pound guy with the move. However, a 400-pound guy will generally be brought down FU-style rather than the regular powerslam style. Generally speaking, this move is more of an auxillary finisher, something that he'd use if the Gold Rush doesn't work (either by missing or by kickout). So, it's not often as seen as the Gold Rush.

- The Gold Standard (Crossface Chickenwing)
The Gold Standard is Steve's submission hold, he locks in one of the opponent's arms while applying a crossface on the victim and linking his hands together. It primarilly causes pressure to the shoulder and the neck. But most of you old school folks should know this move, anyway.

Although the Gold Rush is considered Steve's primary finisher, Steve is actually looking to end with this move, and he often begins some ground work in setting it up by using shoulderbreakers, armbars, and single arm DDTs. Steve likes to lock it in after a little fanfare, but he can also lock the submission in out of nowhere. He is relentless in maintaining the submission, often enduring many counters from the opponents as he tries to get the opponent down long enough for them to tap out. He'll hold on as long as necessary until the opponent gives in.

If the opponent doesn't give in, or they're particularly feisty about getting out, or it's late in the match and Steve wants to just end it, that's when the second half of the Gold Standard comes in... the Double Standard.

- The Double Standard (Crossface Chickenwing Suplex, used sparingly)
The Double Standard is effectively a suplex out of the Gold Standard.

It is a "knockout suplex" in the sense that once Steve hits you with it, you will be knocked the hell out more than long enough for Steve to win. Actually, you might be knocked out just long enough for Steve to drink some tea, then take a nap to consult his dream shaman, do his taxes, and then casually lay down on top of you for the three count. It is the rare death finisher that is actually used.

Steve doesn't normally do this move for normal matches (why use it on a House Show against James Varga?), but may bring it out for big matches (usually of the gravitas of an Elite or World Championship match). Because this is the last resort death finisher, Steve should really only be using this if nothing else has worked.

THE POSSE
Steve Knox has a crew of crazy people who hangs around him on a regular basis. These guys mostly stay out of Steve's in-ring affairs, though they may occasionally wrestle in NFW, and they're mostly characters that Steve interacts with when he's not in the ring. Although they are likened to being his entourage, Steve likes to refer to them as his "posse".

- Chris Chambers
Height: 6'
Weight: 208 lbs.
Hometown: Claims to be from the "Mean Streets of Chi-Town", but he's actually from Topeka, Kansas
Entrance Music: "Country Grammar" by Nelly

Hair Color: Lilac (obviously dyed)
Eye Color: Blue

Wrestling Style: Brawler
Finisher: The Kansas City Drive-By (Yakuza Kick)

Chris Chambers is Steve's "disciple". Chris often dresses like a gangster, wears a lot of (fake) bling, talks like a wigger, and is generally the very anti-thesis of the "street" culture he claims to be the hub of. He has lilac hair and has a still-lingering reputation for being a jobber, and his career highlight is getting some lucky win over a ridiculously injured Max Danger four years ago.

Despite his apparent uselessness and his ignorance, Chris shows flashes of brilliance at times, both in and out of the ring, and he might not be nearly as pathetic as nearly everyone believes him to be. At the very least, he's at least developed a legitimate finisher and wrestling style, now, so he probably shouldn't be terribly underestimated any more.

- The Cosmo Kid
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 184 lbs.
Hometown: Claims to be from "The Cosmos"
Entrance Music: "Electricity" by the Avalanches

Hair Color: Unknown
Eye Color: Purple (due to contacts)

Wrestling Style: Luchador
Finisher: Cosmo Star Suplex (Cross-legged northern lights bomb) / Cosmo Star Splash (810 splash)

The Cosmo Kid's relationship with Steve Knox is rather unknown, but Cosmo (as most people call him) claims to be an expert at "investigation". He wears a purple, star-print mask with antennae poking out of the top. He usually wears a simple black or midnight blue suit with a red tie, but he also wears wrestling boots with the suit to defeat the purpose. Cosmo has a very deep voice and tends to be very manly, and he also has an almost ridiculous tolerance of pain as he almost dares people to hit him harder to "clear his sinuses". He also seems to know just about everything there is to know about anyone within Steve Knox's posse, including things he really should NOT know.

Cosmo is a wrestler, but tends not to get involved in Steve's affairs because it "isn't manly". He is only as tall as Marisa Silvernail, but he's got a certain degree of tenacity and self-worth that makes him seem bigger than he is. As a wrestler, he uses a luchador style, though he's clearly not Mexican.

Little else is known about Cosmo, however, including his real name, real appearance, or even why he hangs around Steve Knox.

- Marisa Silvernail
Height: 5'7"
Hometown: Providence, Rhode Island

Hair Color: Red
Eye Color: Blue

Marisa is Steve's bodyguard. Despite her very strength-oriented position, Marisa is hardly bodyguard material at first glance. She is disarmingly playful, loves to tease, is girly, affectionate, and loves cute things and stuffed animals. She likes to play along with Alice's costume ideas. She is also very near-sighted and usually wears glasses or contacts. Steve likes her better with the glasses, so she tends to wear them more often. She and Steve dated in high school, but broke up amicably because of their mutual obsessions (Steve and wrestling, Marisa and martial arts). They remain extremely close, and their closeness happens to annoy Alexandria.

Marisa is not a wrestler and is only a bodyguard to protect Steve in out-of-the-ring affairs. Once Steve is in the ring, Marisa does not become involved.

Despite her looks, Marisa is a highly skilled martial artist and is deceptively strong. Thus is the reason why she is Steve's bodyguard.

- Alice Wright
Height: 5'9"
Hometown: Providence, Rhode Island

Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Green

Alice is a documentarian who is working on a dpcumentary about Steve Knox. She is actually Steve's childhood friend, knowing him since he was about three. Alice is very stern, does not mince words, and is often one of the few real voices of reason in Steve's posse, though she's actually extremely impulsive. Because of her serious nature, she often plays straightwoman with the rest of the posse. Alice seems to not be too interested in men, and she tends to boss around people while ignoring legitimate suggestions from other people because they're not "her ideas". She has a great understanding about how to direct and film movies and documentaries, however.

Alice is usually the person filming Steve's promos for NFW. If she isn't, it's because she's filming something for Alexandria or another of the posse instead.

She also happens to be a nerd and an otaku, and she loves to cosplay.
