Bio:
Steve is the second son of Earl Knox, a professional wrestler turned actor who died in 2001 in an accident on the set of his third movie.

A mainstay of the Squared Circle since 2005, Steve has been wrestling around the independants since he was 16. A man who literally eats, sleeps, and drinks the business, Steve has put professional wrestling first at the cost of friends and family, and he's begun to feel the effects of such a lifestyle. He has few friends and nearly all of them are fellow wrestlers or people in the business. He barely has a good relationship with his brothers, Simon Knox and Soren Knox, who are also wrestlers in the business.

With eight years of professional experience and still only twenty-four years old, Steve Knox aspires to be nothing but the greatest and most awesome athlete there ever was.

Just so we're clear, he is not related to Mr. Randall Knox (Impulse).

Personality:
In real life, Steve likes to believe he's an average guy, though he hangs around with some decidedly unaverage people. When it comes to the ring, though, Steve likes to believe that he is nothing short of awesome.

Most of the time, he is calm and laidback. There are things that agitate him, and the one thing he hates more than anything are other wrestlers who live in the past or harp on past experiences. Well, actually, he also hates people bringing up "Pasadena" around him, but that's probably not knowledge you'll be privy to any time soon.

He is also grossly confident almost to the point of underestimating opponents. He thinks little of people like Legion or James Varga, frequently mispronounces names of certain characters (particularly, he can't seem to refer to Dusk as anything but "Duck"), and has a tendency to not care very much if a match doesn't involve a championship or a shot at a championship. His almost casual demeanor regarding wrestling belies a very serious competitor, so even if he doesn't take you very seriously, be advised that he's still going to beat you to death if given half a chance.

Steve is rather affable if you're not trying to take his head off, but you'll have to get by his ego to tolerate him. In his mind, he is the true shining star of NFW and considers himself to be the new incarnation and will of NFW itself.

Style:
Steve is a technical wrestler with a great dose of power.

He is powerful enough that he can lift a man weighing up to 400 pounds into a fireman's carry, strong enough to suplex such men with ease, and awesome enough to Gold Rush your face into oblivion even if you're the size of the Empire State Building. His main form of offense will come in the form of suplexes and other technical-style throws. He might work the arm or leg, primarilly to set up the Gold Standard, and he has a couple of submissions hidden in his arsenal.

Steve's suplexes can border on the ridiculous. Although he'll have the standard fare (German, belly-to-belly, back, vertical, Northern Lights, etc.), he also has some off-the-wall stuff that you wouldn't normally see. He may even invent a suplex before our eyes. He is also skilled at countering moves, and has developed a knack for being able to sneak in some submissions on people to turn the tides.

He also has some pretty heavy endurance and can go a long time in a match. In big matches, he's been known to go a long time and if there's a particular motivation (championship on the line), he'll even manage to get a shoulder up off of taking a big move.

Steve has some injuries here and there, but nothing long term that can really be taken advantage of in the long run. He's been known to exaggerate the state of his injuries from time to time, just to give his opponents some sense that they have an advantage over Steve.

He is weak at mat wrestling, but that's only because he's developed a strong dislike for it. Not only does he find it "kinda gay", but his father brutalized the hell out of him with the stuff when he was training and he hasn't really enjoyed it since. If you want to beat Steve Knox, you'd best be served to keep him in a position where he can't suplex the living **** out of him.

Oh, and it's rare that you'll see him go to the top rope. He's not a flyer, and he knows it.

Entrance:
I'm not gonna give you the full entrance, but a mild description of it.

The bass guitars of "Hysteria" will start, followed by the distorting gutiars. The song begins in full at the 20 second mark, and that's when Steve comes out of the entryway. He waits at the entryway about ten seconds and then raises his arms, with gold pyro shooting off behind him. Steve then walks down to the ring, leaping up onto the apron and stepping into the ring.

- MOVESET
Early:
Double leg takedown, fireman's carry takedown, knee lift, one-handed scoop slam, back body drop, armdrag, arm wringer, drop toe hold, snap suplex, elbow strikes, punches.

Middle:
Belly-to-belly suplex, double underhook suplex, powerslam, stungun, hard powerbomb, delayed vertical suplex, DDT, military press drop (against smaller opponents, he'll do reps), back suplex, Exploder suplex, pendulum backbreaker, German suplex (w/bridge), barrage of elbows in the corner that ends with a dropkick, repeated short-arm shoulderblocks ending with a clothesline, Boston crab, figure four leglock, figure four leglock in the post, rear choke, stomps, shoulderbreaker, Fujiwara armbar, single arm DDT.

Late:
Tombstone piledriver, gutwrench powerbomb, flying forearm, repeated back suplexes, capture suplex, belly-to-belly double arm suplex, Northern Lights suplex, half nelson suplex, superplex, belly-to-belly superplex (often done while running up the turnbuckles), brainbuster, dragon suplex (w/bridge), overthrown German suplex that lands the opponent chest-first, wrist clutch leg cradle backdrop suplex, wrist clutch fisherman's suplex

- FINISHERS
The Gold Rush
A lariat. He bashes your face in with his arm and you're going to like it.

For the most part, this is his primary finisher. More than half of his matches will see him win with this. His lariat can put down just about anyone, regardless of size. Some smaller wrestlers will end up taking a bump onto the back of their heads from the impact. That's how vicious Steve's lariat is.

He has three main variations, all of which are based on Nigel McGuinness. The first is the "Rebound" Gold Rush, which is when Steve gets knocked backwards through the top and middle ropes, but hangs on and uses the momentum coming back into the ring to take your head off with the Gold Rush. The second is the "Middle Rope" Gold Rush, which is simply a Gold Rush off the second ropes, used primarilly on particularly tall wrestlers. The third is the "Suspended" Gold Rush, which sees an opponent straddling the ropes while Steve climbs to the middle rope before jumping off and hitting them with the Gold Rush.

All three variations are generally sure-kills, but they're not unbeatable.

The Gold Standard
A crossface chickenwing.

This is a pretty basic submission, and Steve is fairly relentless about keeping it on once he's decided that this is how you're going to die. He's been known to hang on like a pitbull, and even when you can shake off the hold, he has a habit of attempting to go back to it.

It can get submissions, but I'd say only about a quarter of his matches will see him finish with this.

The Double Standard
A suplex out of the Gold Standard, or in more direct terms, a crossface chickenwing suplex.

This is the closest thing to an instant death finisher that Steve Knox possesses. If he hits you with this, there is only a 1 out of 10 chance you'll be conscious enough to kick out of it. It's akin to the Undertaker tombstoning you, once it hits, it's usually over. Granted, I no longer see any one finisher being instant death no matter what, but I'd like a heads up on when you're going to use it since Steve has only used it five times in tSC (in the four years he was there).

- THE POSSE
Steve Knox has a crew of crazy people who hangs around him on a regular basis. These guys mostly stay out of Steve's in-ring affairs (except in ACW, where he is a heel), though they may occasionally wrestle in NFW. They're mostly characters that Steve interacts with when he's not in the ring. Although they are likened to being his entourage, Steve likes to refer to them as his "posse".

Chris Chambers
Height: 6'
Weight: 208 lbs.
Hometown: Topeka, Kansas

Chris is Steve's lilac-haired "disciple". Steve took him in as a student a couple of years ago, and as a result, Chris has shown significant improvement not only as a wrestler, but as a person.

Although Chris plays the part of a wigger-like gangster wannabe who wears lots of fake "bling", he is shown to be smarter and more intelligent than his appearance and manner indicate. His wrestling style is a reflection of this, because he may seem like the same harmless jobber he was in Action! and tSC, but then he shows that he can hang with some of the best.

He is aware of the ridiculousness of his character and the ridiculousness of staying in character at all times, but he doesn't seem to care too much.

Cosmo Kid
Height: 5'7"
Weight: 184 lbs.
Hometown: "The Cosmos" (or, in other words, a fancy way of saying "unknown")

The Cosmo Kid (simply called "Cosmo" to his friends) has been an associate of Steve's since tSC. He is a man who wears a strange purple mask, always dresses in a business suit (even when wrestling), and has a deep, Barry White-esque voice.

Cosmo likes to pretend he's tough and has a tendency to thank people who just hit him with a huge move for "clearing his sinuses". He also has a knack for always knowing what's going on, and for knowing things that he shouldn't otherwise be able to know. Even Steve Knox doesn't know how he became associated with Cosmo Kid, but he doesn't seem to mind his presence, either.

Cosmo typically teams up with Chris Chambers, and employs a graceful luchador-esque style (despite clearly not being from Mexico).

Marisa Silvernail
Height: 5'7"
Hometown: Providence, Rhode Island

Marisa Silvernail was Steve Knox's high school sweetheart, but their individual obsessions caused them to amicably split apart before graduation. They have come back together as two experts in their professions, with Steve Knox having succeeded as a professional wrestler, while Marisa is on her fourth black belt.

Marisa is Steve's extremely dangerous bodyguard, though she hardly looks like one at first glance. She is also disarmingly playful, loves to tease, and is quite affectionate. She also likes stuffed toys and cute things. Despite this, she can knock a man out with an unexpected punch, which means she's much stronger than she looks. She has black belts in three different disciplines, and claims to only have a brown belt in a fourth. Marisa's also near-sighted and wears glasses.

Alice Wright
Height: 5'9"
Hometown: Providence, Rhode Island

Alice Wright is Steve Knox's childhood friend, having known him all her life. She is making a documentry about Steve Knox, though it's been hinted recently that her motivations behind following Steve may run deeper than this.

Compared to Steve's other friends, she is stern and serious, and doesn't like to mince words, not even to Steve himself. She tends to get exasperated with Steve's friends and the situations Steve manages to involve himself and his friends in. Although she seems to be uninterested in men, she may or may not harbor a crush on Steve. She's good at filmmaking and movies, but she has a tendency to boss people around while ignoring legitimate suggestions from other people because they're not *her* ideas.

Likes to make clothes, though it's rarely for wrestling reasons.
