Part of the oversaturation problem that we've been experiencing with TEAM might come down to the number of titles. This isn't supposed to be a full-time fed, yet I have more titles than most full-time feds do right now. Granted, all of them except the CoC are stip titles that you don't really find anywhere else, but still, I can see where people coming in think it might be overkill. But the real question is, do you guys think so too? I want to know. The poll options are self explanatory, but just to clarify intent, unless the overwhelming majority wants to keep all four titles, then I'm going to streamline things. The only title that's 100% safe is the CoC. Everything else is up for overhaul.

I definitely think there are too many titles. If you include the tournaments, you've got seven championships - the FFA, the LL, CoC, ToC, CC, Chad Merritt, and the Chad Dupree. Three of those are annual events, but at any one time now, eleven people can call themselves a TEAM champion - and that's way too high a number for a non-fulltime fed (hell, I'd be worried if ANY fed ever got that many champions). So, I think, for a while at least, maybe cutting down to the ToC, Chad Merritt, Chad Dupree, and the CoC (which is still seven 'champions' at any one time) is enough.

Those are tournaments though, Karl. It's not like Dan Ryan's defending his TEAM Invitational Tournament trophy or anything.

TiT Trophy.

*snicker*

Anyway, like I told Tom yesterday, if anything the Challenge Championship and the FFA~! titles could be merged with FFA rules applying for some of the defenses.

I was wracking my brainz trying to decide how I felt about TEAM's title situation, and the above seems like the soundest idea. TEAM does have an abundance of titles, and if people think scaling back is a sound idea (and the impression I've gotten from T-Hizzles is that they do), then the FFA~! is the 'weakest link,' so to speak, because you can have Challenge Championship matches, as Lindz said, with FFA stipulations.

Have Tact and Ravager duke it out on a SuperShow to determine the one legit Champion. It'll = HAWT BUYRATES.

Actually, that would be Larry Tact vs. Ravager, but that's me being a stickler for detail.

I understand the slew of titles in TEAM. The FFA could go. But, the rest are understandable. And I love that Lethal Lottery Tag Title deal. I'm a lifer for that one. (seriously. count me in for all of em'):)

I'm pretty much in favor of merging the FFA~! and Challenge titles, but it looks like the overwhelming majority of people have voted to keep the titles (and that's including Stalker, who wants more!). So, here's what I'm going to do, because I'm a man of the people.

All four titles will remain on a trial basis, which pretty much means that if I see the RP for the FFA~! title dipping, then that title will be merged into the Challenge title. So, if you guys are really serious about keeping everything, then please let me know through actions instead of just poll options. RP for the FFA~! title, and it'll definitely stick around.

Just for the record... I voted to keep all the titles, because (a) I, like a few others seem to, don't consider the annual awards as titles; and (b) I feel that the different rules make each one worth having.

Having said that, though, and after looking over the discussion, I wouldn't be object to a merger of the FFA~! and Challenge Championships. I can see how that would work out.

Anyway, just my input... after the fact. : p
