Having fun character interactions and having a good feud or telling a good story make this hobby fun for me. What makes it feel like a chore is when drama happens.

What makes this hobby fun for you?

Interaction amongst handlers is a big thing for me. If I'm able to collaborate with friends and other people to craft fun stories, that's what keeps me motivated to write longer. I enjoy a good OOC atmosphere as well. I'm not saying every single person has to be best of friends, but to just have some conversation going is a big thing.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?

In-fighting between handlers. Seclusion. Writing alone.

- Great topic by the way. I'd love to hear what others have to say on this.

What makes this hobby fun for you?

Working with handlers who I've been following for years. Interactions, planning and just being apart of a well oiled machine.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?

Writing alone, dealing with flakers or handlers who give lackluster input in a feud.

What makes this hobby fun for you?

Interacting with different people from different countries and making friends with them, being able to create your dream wrestling character and have them be exactly how you want them to be with no restrictions.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?

Drama, writing a lot of stuff by yourself (used to be a fed head) and feeling burnt out with a character

What makes this hobby fun for you?
Brainstorming crazy ideas. Doing wacky shiz that you can't do anywhere else...that no one would ever think of. Having a good back-and-forth with other clever people and enjoying the end result. The rad folks I've met.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?
Weekly schedules, the actual nuts and bolts composition of the above described writing things. Matchwriting!!!!

What makes this hobby fun for you?
Collaborating with other like-minded people to put together cool wrestling shows.

When people TRULY embrace the game aspect of promos and you put together an intriguing story between one another rather than just trying to out roleplay someone.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?

When you have to try and crack a clique to get involved in a fed and you cannot do either of the above.

What makes this hobby fun for you?
I'm a straight up wrestling nerd, so getting to pretend wrestle on the internet is pretty rad.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?
Internet drama that grinds every gorram thing to a halt. People who bail and frak up plans or don't hold up their ends.

What makes this hobby fun for you?
As said before, I think what makes this hobby so fun is continually working with people who I have known for years. It is great to have a community of people who have known each other going on 20 years... even if it does make one feel old. Other than that, as a fed head, it's incredibly fun to work with your members to create engaging storylines and provide sometimes thrilling/shocking events.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?
Writing everything yourself is always a chore. I think the one that has always bothered me is not having the level of involvement that one wants (as a fedhead) .. it's always tough to try and liven up the forums and get more OOC chatter in addition to getting people to actually RP! :)

I've noticed a shift from solo writing to collaborative writing over the past several years, primarily among newer members (as the old ones retire/leave/whatever). Do people still enjoy character development and spontaneous interaction between handlers on the forums? Or does everyone prefer pre-planning angles, watching them unfold, and garnering feedback?

What is more fun: writing a character, or writing about a character?

What makes this hobby fun for you?
New ideas, and particularly weird experimental ideas and seeing them go forward (even if some crash and burn, because sometimes they turn out awesome).

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?
Strict deadlines (though they're absolutely necessary), investing time in a character/story/etc. only for other people involved to flake.

What makes this hobby fun for you?
Discussing ideas for the future, and seeing how that help another. "Yes, I enjoy that idea, but how about this?" Or "That sounds OK, but I have an idea that could make it so much better-er." I like things like that.

What makes this hobby feel like a chore?
This might make me sound like an impatient bitch, but having to wait on cards for what seems like an eternity.
