Ugh. I just wish I had the luxury of staying up until 3am to post a response under the buzzer. Oh well. Would have loved to respond to Kiyomori's latest. Otherwise, a fun exchange!

I'll give it a try....

"Cool" Cancer Jiles vs. "Simply Sensational" Sean Edmunds"
I really like how Edmunds played off of CCJ's gimmick and I enjoyed the multiple character interaction within his roleplays. As for CCJ, I think that he did well, but I wish there was a little more development (i.e. scenes) to go along with the trash talking. I give Edmunds the edge in this one.

Winner: "Simply Sensational" Sean Edmunds

Max Blackshire vs. Kiyomori
Kiyomori's first roleplay was very well done and a nice start to the thread. Blackshire countered nicely, pointing out flaws (which is always a bonus in my book). Kiyomori came back with another solid roleplay just before the deadline. I agree with Paul, as I wish he would have had an opportunity to counter. I'll be honest, this is one of the reasons why I try to put out the first roleplay because coming into a tournament like this with a ton of unknowns (and no back history to work with), its difficult to wait for them to put out the first strike. I have to give the edge to Kiyomori in a close one.

Winner: Kiyomori

"The Only Star" Eric Dane vs. "The Cure" Matt Caje
I felt like both of Eric Dane's roleplays were very similar and I didn't see the need for going through a match by match breakdown, rather than simply focusing on your opponent. Although he only put out one roleplay, I really like Matt Caje as he did buy into the trash talking of Dane and remained focused.

"The Cure" Matt Caje

Boogie Smallz vs. Jesse Ramsey
Sadly a no-show on Ramsey's part, but very well done in Maddog's second roleplay in typical Boogie Smallz fashion.

Winner: Boogie Smallz

Jacob McKail vs. "Total Elimination" Eli Flair
A nice overall roleplay battle between McKail and Flair. However, I've always liked Flair's style and I'm going to have to lean that way in this one.

Winner: "Total Elimination" Eli Flair

Mikey Massacre vs. Alias
Another no-show....why is it that I had to tough battles in the first two rounds, yet there still continues to be no-shows? I understand that things come up, but its not difficult to put together a skeleton roleplay and fill in the holes as needed for your opponent.

Winner: Mikey Massacre

The Phantom Republican vs. Shane Rothenstein
I'm loving the stuff from the PR. His roleplays are well researched and he plays the character perfectly. A decent roleplay by Rothenstein, but not enough for the PR.

Winner: The Phantom Republican

I didn't comment on my own match because obviously I'm going to be bias, however, these are my picks for bracket 3.

Alias's handler Russ had some personal issues that, if it happened to me, would force me to stop running e-fed guerillas for a few weeks.

Ramey, I haven't seen on since our last EFG show we did together.

Not saying they couldn't have tried to do something, but both definitely had issues in their life that caused their no show.

Beyond that, Flair vs. McKail was the rp thread of this bracket. Very close in my estimation. I thoroughly enjoyed this thread more than any other. If we had a lucky loser, Flair/McKail would be that lucky loser in round 2, bracket 3 to me.

I couldn't afford to pay the home internet bill, and it got shut off at the beginning of last week. Still haven't got it back yet, on the work computer at the moment, but I apologize for the no-show; it wasn't intended.

Phantom Republican vs. Shane Rothstein: I liked Rothstein's work but TPR really nailed it with his second RP and he's my pick.

Troy Franklin vs. Kendall Codine: Franklin rambled a bit too much for my tastes while Codine did a better job of getting to the point, so I pick Codine.

Mikey Massacre vs. Alias: I'm crossing my fingers for Mikey's handler that he gets a good RP battle in the next round.

Jacob McKail vs. Eli Flair: Best RP battle of this bracket. I think Flair was a bit more focused with his work, though, so I give it to him.

Boogie Smallz vs. Jesse Ramey: It's unfortunate Ramey had Internet issues. The Boogie beat goes on.

Eric Dane vs. Matt Caje: I have been very impressed with Dane's work. Caje gave it a go but Dane was just that damn good. Dane's my pick.

Max Blackshire vs. Kiyomori: I like Blackshire but I thought Kiyo had a good effort with his second RP and I give him the edge.

Cancer Jiles vs. Sean Edmunds: I don't think Jiles had his best effort, while Edmunds had a really good second RP. I pick Edmunds.

My apologies to Mikey Massacre, as I really enjoyed RP for each of the first two rounds and I knew you'd be a good match for Alias. Family business took away from any FW time for me this past week. Things bigger then the fun of tournaments.

I'll keep an eye on things on things though, and will look to very much enjoy the goings on.

But Russ, there's BIG money on the line here! If you were to win this thing, you could retire to my neighborhood!

Looks like I'll get it from either Franklin or Codine! Thanks for the fingercross.
