Ba

Name: BA (formerly Benoitholic Anonymous)
Height: 5’11”
Weight: 225 lbs.
Hometown: Philadelphia, PA
Face/Heel: Face

Appearance: Short and toned. It’s debatable if he has any body fat at all. Wears a bright mask that matches his tights, which are a solid color (either orange, white or silver) with black tiger stripes.

History: BA is a member of the famous fighting Anonymous clan, the fourth son of five. His goal in life was to be as good as the bestest wrestler in the world in his eyes, his big brother JA. He didn’t get the chance to travel abroad like his big brother, but he was trained at home by his father, also an accomplished professional wrestler. He also grew up on watching Japanese wrestling, including stuff from his brother and from another wrestler who would become his favorite, Chris Benoit. He made his pro debut in the prestigious Canadian Tag Team Tournament in 2000, winning the whole thing with his big brother. He came home and wrestled locally for a couple of years before joining up with CWA, a promotion based out of Chicago. In his second match, BA captured the Midwest title and was that fed’s only Midwest Champion. The promotion merged with the USWA and BA’s title was stolen by Mindkiller and his manager Necromancer. He never got the title back, as he lost the title in a unification match with Mindkiller and USWA Intercontinental Champion Lindsay Troy. BA took some time off to recover from a minor concussion and resurfaced in MBE. He quickly rose the ranks and beat El Tremendo for the Unified Championship. After losing it, he tagged with the legendary Liquid Snake before tearing his ACL and having to go on hiatus for a bit. He promos and acts like a 5 year old on a sugar high. Consider yourself forewarned.

Titles Held: CWA Midwest Championship, MBE Unified Championship

Style: Technical, ground based with a little bit of aerial offense thrown in, much like his idol.

Move Set: German, Tiger and Dragon suplexes, rolling Dragon suplexes, knife-edge chops, sitout powerbomb, cross armbreaker, tombstone piledriver, high flipping dropkick, falling headbutt from the canvas, flying elbow from the top, Fujiwara Armbar, Tiger Tamer (lock arms for the Tiger suplex, then kick out victim’s legs so that he’s on knees. Kneel on the back of the calves/inner knees and drive head into the small of the back while arms still locked in Tiger lock), STF, single leg Liontamer (does this on opposite side in that he usually does it with his right arm locked on the victim’s right leg, which looks like his left leg from when the hold is locked in), the very, very, very occasional Crippler Crossface

Finisher Name: Surfin’ Wolverine
Description of Finisher: Full Nelson/Mexican Surfboard Stretch combination

Entrance: “Rock You Like a Hurricane” by the Scorpions hits and BA comes out. No effects, no pyro, no frills.

The Phantom Republican

Name: The Phantom Republican (aka Gordon O. Powell, initials GOP)
Height: 6’5”
Weight: 257 lbs.
Hometown: Conservative Middle America
Face/Heel: Depends on your political leanings. Acts underhandedly though, as per all politicians, so I guess he’s a heel.

Appearance: Wears a mask at all times. It has a blue base with a white Republican elephant imposed on the face. In the ring, wears blue trunks with white trim that say Bush going up the right side and Cheney going up the left, in white text with black trim. Wears blue boots with white laces and soles, blue knee and elbow pads with white trim and a blue Bush/Cheney ’04 robe (which he takes off before the match). Outside of the ring, business casual.

History: Say what you will about the Phantom Republican, but he is passionate in his beliefs. A personal admirer of both Trickle Down Reaganomics and ending the Cold War, GOP became enamored with Ronald Reagan and the Republican Party at an early age. Enamored also with Hulk Hogan and fighting foreign threats like Nikolai Volkoff and the Iron Sheik, GOP got into wrestling as well. Combining the two of them, GOP turned wrestling and conservatism into a lifestyle. Splitting time between the ring and the campaign trail, GOP is as fervent an interview as he is a Republican booster.

Style: Power technical. Much like the GOP likes to spend ungodly amounts of money on making state-of-the-art weapons to destroy the world several times over, GOP like to spend ungodly amounts of time training to learn moves that would win him several world titles over. Pretty agile for a guy his size too, gained from lurking in the shadows.

Move Set: Unilateral Strike (Starts out like a vertical suplex, but stops at the height and falls forward, slamming the victim front first), Tax-breaker (torture rack set up to backbreaker), Stealth Bomber (180° spinning guillotine leg drop), Trickle Down Thuganomics (alternating rolling shoulder-breakers on his left and right knees, finished with a power slam), Terror Alert (a series of submissions of varying skill and pain inflicted – Green: sleeper hold, Yellow: sleeper hold/camel clutch hybrid, Orange: kata-ha-jime, Red: Stranglehold Gamma), Star Wars (high arching moonsault), Deficit Runner (hard Irish whip to the corner, followed up with GOP bouncing off the ropes and hitting the victim with a stiff clothesline as the victim stumbles out), shoulder breaker, power slam, overhead belly to belly suplex, other basic power moves

Finisher Name: WMD
Description of Finisher: Starts out like a powerbomb, but at the apex, GOP puts the victim back first on his shoulder. He then drives the victim at a 45° angle to the canvas, with impact sharply on the head, neck and upper back

Entrance: “The Imperial March” by John Williams hits, with overdubs of various sound bites from George W. Bush, Condoleeza Rice, Dick Cheney, John Ashcroft, Don Rumsfeld and in an old-school twist, Newt Gingrich on top. Red, white and blue house lights flash as GOP heads down to the ring.

Abbondanza

Name: “The Straight Shooter” Tony Abbondanza
Height: 6’5”
Weight: 264 lbs.
Hometown: Las Vegas, Nevada
Face/Heel: Face

Appearance: The Straight Shooter is a clean cut, no-nonsense and built like a tank. He has black, slicked back hair, a big pug nose, enlarged from it being broken several times in the shootfighting ring. Massive chest and well-defined abs, big arms and solid legs. Wears red tights that go halfway down the thighs with black trim. Wears black fighter gloves, kneepads, elbow pads, and white boots with black shin-guards on them.

History: Abbondanza is one of the most accomplished mixed martial arts fighters in the world. He retired from the world of shootfighting to pursue different challenges and decided he’d follow in the footsteps of Ken Shamrock and Dan Severn and try professional wrestling

Style: He’s a shooter. Does a lot of submissions and strikes with a few wrestling moves thrown in

Move Set: Muy Thai kick, roundhouse kick, axe kick, boxing jabs and uppercuts, European uppercut, leg sweep, armbar, side leg lace, Buffalo sleeper hold, mounted punching, Fujiwara armbar, Northern Lights suplex with pin, tilt-a-whirl backbreaker, rising knee lift, hangman’s neckbreaker, piledriver (pull on tights variation), running school boy roll-up

Finisher Name: Griffin Clutch
Description of Finisher: Cobra clutch/camel clutch fusion

Entrance: “Dr. Feelgood” by Motley Crue hits, and Abbondanza comes down with no real accoutrements other than the music.

The Future

Name: The Future
Height: 6’6”
Weight: 255 lbs.
Hometown: Parts Unknown
Face/Heel: Heel

Appearance: The Future is proportionately built, a specimen of perfection. His head is shaved bald, set deeply with cold, beady blue eyes and a slim nose. He has a tattoo of a barcode on the back of his neck. He wears dark navy blue half tights with black knee and elbow pads and boots.

History: Not a whole lot is known about The Future. A find of the renowned manager John Delmonte Yankan, The Future is billed as the prototype for all wrestlers who follow. There aren’t many records of him performing in other feds, but you wouldn’t know that from his technique in the ring. Doesn’t speak very much and lets Yankan do most of the talking for him.

Style: Quick, technical and innovative. He has incredible balance, strength and stamina, but he’s a bit robotic. Always works the head and neck area. All moves set up The Edge Crusher or set up knocking out the opponent’s brainpower and neck mobility.

Move Set: Flying forearm, stiff punches, snap suplex, knee to the face (a la Triple H), running high knee, drop DDT (DDT but not falling back like Jake Roberts, more like falling straight down, like a reverse DDT done front ways), hangman’s neckbreaker (out of a counter or dodging past a running opponent), spinning guillotine neckbreaker (offensive version), front chancery (Beast Choker), single crab with bridging reverse camel clutch, Wasteland Pincher (reverse headlock, a la Dragon Sleeper, but instead of locking the arm, The Future pinches the neck hard into the pressure point with his free hand, Tumbleweed (starts out in a Russian leg sweep set up, but The Future spins around quickly, landing a quick STO), Vagrant Lynch (starts out as a front headlock set up to a suplex. With the non-locking arm, The Future locks in a front half nelson. He then picks the victim up as to deliver a suplex but instead of falling straight back, he arches back, hanging the opponent, delivering great strain on the neck and back until the victim taps or The Future loses his grip and balance on the hold. Also can be used as a suplex in lieu of submission hold in a variant called the Vagrant Guillotine Suplex.)

Set up move/secondary finisher: Future Shock
Description: Butterfly brainbuster

Finisher Name: The Edge Crusher
Description of Finisher: Victim is in prone in the corner. The Future climbs to the top rope and crouches on one knee, leaning that knee on the back of the victim’s head. The Future then falls forward, crunching his knee in the back of the victim’s head, driving his face into the canvas.

Entrance: The opening riffs of “Frame by Frame” by King Crimson hit and the house lights go down. Blue flashing circle lights blink off and on rapidly until the futuristic noodlings give way to the cutting guitar part. At that moment Future comes out, led by John Delmonte Yankan. The house lights glow blue until The Future reaches the ring.

Accompanied to the ring by: John Delmonte Yankan
--
Name: John Delmonte Yankan
Height: 5’8”
Weight: 147 lbs.
Hometown: New York City, NY
Face/Heel: Heel

Appearance: Skinny prick frame. Always wears a suit. Slicked back hair, blue eyes, almost an eternal snarl on his face.

History: One of the most devious and dirtiest managers in wrestling history, as well as one of the most respected, Yankan has managed champions the world over.

Does he interfere?: Yes, as much as he can, especially with his blackjack.
