SCENE BEGINS

(Fade in with an establishing shot of an extravagant and well-kept Washington home, basking in the afternoon summer sun. The camera comes around to the backyard, where we see a sizable rectangular pool within the deck serving as the back porch. Nearby, beneath the shadow of the two-story house, sits a woman in a black robe in a lawn chair, looking over the scenery beyond the back yard.)

(As the camera nears her, she smiles and removes her sunglasses, revealing a pair of striking brown eyes that go well with her long, dark hair. Her facial features are youthful in many ways, but a lot in her expression shows that there is more experience than meets the eye. Something about her gaze shows more congitive know-how than one would find in the average girl. Perhaps it's because Caitlyn Daymon, loving mother and devoted wife, has been through more than many women her age.)

And so the time comes, when the harmless piece of eye-candy that once did little more than clap and shout at ringside has decided to redefine her entire image and persona. I have to admit, it's a somewhat liberating experience.

Oh, and hi... my name is Caitlyn Daymon. Pleased to meet you all.

(She toasts the camera with her margarita and takes a brief sip.)

Caitlyn Daymon
Many, if not all of you, have never heard of me... though there may be a few of you who may recall having read my name at the bottom of the Destrucity line-up. And, if I'm lucky, there may be that one person out there who actually recognizes me as the manager of Rocko Daymon, of other federations.

So, where do I begin? How about I tell you a little bit about myself. I grew up here in northwest... had a rich family, but also had a lot of siblings. Eventually, I met the man who I later married through a friend of my sister. We live here in Tacoma with our son, Kincaid, and everything is just peachy keen jelly bean.

(A wry smile crosses her face.)

Caitlyn Daymon
...now, how about I tell you about the IMPORTANT details.

My husband had a professional wrestling career of five years, and I was by his side every step of the way. Though my actual in-ring experience is limited to only a few matches, I have a deep understanding of the sport from years of observation. I've seen and studied things from the various promos and matches my husband has partaken in, and learned from them. I've seen things that most people in the ring are oblivious to. In my opinion, until you've spent time on both sides of the ropes, you can never truly admit you know everything about professional wrestling.

Besides that, I've studied the martial arts since I was 8. All in all, I see myself as a fully-equipped competitor in any professional wrestling women's division.

(She looks to her glass thoughtfully, contemplating a drink... decides against it, and looks back to the camera.)

Caitlyn Daymon
I suppose a few people are wondering where I've been for the past couple of weeks. New Era, I know, has called me almost every hour of every day leading up to this event, wondering why I haven't promoted it! Heh, you gotta hand it to those guys...

But to tell you the truth, I'm more of a person who focuses more on the physical aspects of the match, such as training. I'd rather skip all the talky-talky, and get straight to the punchy-kicky, if you know what I mean. But the reason why I give the pubic a first glance at one of NEW's upcoming female competitors isn't because I was pressured by the federation execs, or because I was simply bored...

Rather, I'm surprised that my OPPONENT hasn't made an appearance yet.

(She shrugs.)

Caitlyn Daymon
Knowing most wrestlers like I do, many competitors can't wait to begin flapping their lips on the airwaves. But surprisingly, there's been nothing but silence from the end of Marrisa McMahon. It really doesn't leave anything to expect for Destructiy... considering this is a person I've never seen or heard of.

Who is Marrisa McMahon? Where does she hail from? What's her fighting style? What's her experience?

...these are questions I can't answer, but I suppose it doesn't matter at this point. I expect the unexpected at Destrucity, and I only hope I can jump-start the fledgling Women's division of New Era Wrestling by accomplishing a glorious victory.

(With a nod, Caitlyn comes out of her lawn chair and makes her way to the glass sliding doors into the home. She looks over her shoulder a final time.)

Caitlyn Daymon
And Marrisa, honey... if you're listening, then good luck to you at Destrucity. It would have been fun to have had a conversation with you before this match, but it seems that you're not interested. I hope you don't let me down.

(Fade to black as she steps inside.)
