Preview of American Anarchy 2008

American Anarchy 2008...a night which will be remembered. The question is, what will it be remembered for? Will it be for another impressive showing by the number one contender, Derrick Steele? Maybe for the Ambulance Match pitting Mikey Massacre to defend the Carolinas Championship against Manny X? Or maybe it will be for the unbelievable main event where Lloyd Rees will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against the likes of Kurt Castle, Kyle Roberts, and Thomas Young. We'll find out on June 3rd. Taking a look at the current card, we're in for some great matches.

With that said, let's take a look at what's in store for us. Cuzin Zeke will take on Mr. Hollywood at American Anarchy. Cuzin Zeke has been impressive as of late. He had an amazing showing against the Carolinas Champion, but wasn't able to walk away with the victory. Look for Zeke to come in to this match with something to prove. He wants to be seen as a contender for the belt, and defeating Mr. Hollywood could propel him back to that stature. But it'll be easier said than done. Mr. Hollywood has shown his skills in the matches he has been in since becoming a REBEL. One of the matches actually featured his opponent, Cuzin Zeke in it. Although Zeke walked out the winner of the match, Mr. Hollywood was not the man that he pinned. Hollywood has suffered two straight losses in which he wasn't the person pinned. Look for him to be ready for this one on one match, and try to bring himself in to the title hunt. Cuzin Zeke and Mr. Hollywood should put on a great match for the fans at American Anarchy.

We'll also see Blood take on Jason. It's a battle of the two evils. Blood showed his dominance and his intestinal fortitude in his first match for REBEL when he chose to face Galactix and Chad Kurtis in a handicap match. Even though he lost the match, he still managed to knock out Galactix and to control most of the match against Kurtis. His second match was against a very hot Derrick Steele. Again, Blood showed that he means business in REBEL as he took the fight to Steele, but again he fell to defeat. We also saw a lighter side of Blood as he came to the aid of Chad Kurtis. A challenge was laid out by this powerhouse to Kurt Castle for a Last Man Standing match, and to show that he's ready, he dominated Warren at REBEL Underground, forcing the bloody Warren to eventually tap out to a modified crossface. Blood appears to be vicious in the ring, and he could very well walk out of American Anarchy with another victim added to his list. On the other hand, Jason has alot to prove in this match. He's had his problems with previous matches, and a win here will give him a start to a future in REBEL. Jason has the drive and determination to get this win. But blood has the viciousness and lack of caring for his opponent to get the win. Look for this to be a close match between two men who will stop at nothing to get the win.

In tag team action, we will see The Dark Market take on the Nation Of Innovation. The Dark Market took out Natural Destruction at REBEL Underground in a tables match. Now they will face a team who has been hot on the rise of the past few weeks. The Richest SOB and The Motivator have their work cut out for them, but the winner of this match could be the next in line for a shot at the World Tag Team Titles. Look for Williams and Thompson to bring all that they have to get the win. As for the Nation Of Innovation, they have had impressive matches in the past, and they have proven that they are one of the best tag teams in REBEL. Their competition may be The Dark Market, but the true test will be to not look past this match to an opportunity at the gold. The Dark Market taking on the Nation Of Innovation is going to be an excellent match to see on a blockbuster show.

The number one contender, Derrick Steele will take on Galactix at American Anarchy. And as much as I hate to say this, the opinions for this match may turn out to be a little one sided. Derrick Steele has been an unstoppable wrecking ball since coming to REBEL. He has defeated Kyle Roberts...he has defeated Blood...he won the Bunkhouse Stampede. I'm not sure that anyone can stop him. He has great technical skills and a high awareness level. He is a true superstar in the ring. He's going in to this match knowing that he'll face the champion at the next REBEL Underground. And for Galactix, this could be a bad thing. Galactix has had problems in his matches He was knocked out in his first match, and he just couldn't finish off his opponents in his second match. He needs to get this win to prove that he belongs here in REBEL. But he's up against Derrick Steele. If Galactix is going to win this match, he's going to have to play to Steele's weaknesses. And even with that strategy, defeating this man will be a difficult task. Galactix has fight in him, but everything Steele touches turns to gold. Galactix is in for one long night.

The Black Underground Railroad will defend the World Tag Team Championship against John X Core and Nick Everhardt. This could be a big highlight for American Anarchy as The Black Underground Railroad has recently shown that they are a nearly unstoppable tag team, most recently defeating Thomas Young and Jeff James. But the competition they will face at American Anarchy is a new formed team, and a team that was able to defeat the Nation Of Innovation. The Assman and Zellor are a favorite of the crowd, but Everhardt and Core as singles wrestlers both have proven their worth. And as a team, they have proven that they can work together as a cohesive unit. The Black Underground Railroad will be in for a battle at American Anarchy, and there's a possibility that we may see new Tag Team Champions. We'll just have to wait and see.

American Anarchy will also host an Ambulance Match with the Carolinas Championship on the line as Manny X once against squares off against the current champion, Mikey Massacre. These two had a tremendous match the first time around, and this match should be no different. Mikey Massacre has really shown how great of a wrestler he is over the past couple of weeks, but so has Manny. Both superstars have the skills to be great champions, but only one will walk out of American Anarchy as the champion. We will see someone take a ride in an ambulance, the question is...will the other one follow in an ambulance shortly thereafter? These two are going to rip each other apart at American Anarchy, and I guarantee that the crowd will be eating it up. Look for blood, chaos, and nothing short of pure hell in this match. Fans, get ready for a bloodbath!

Finally, the night will be capped off with a Four Way Dance for the World Heavyweight Championship. The competitors will be "The Technical Terror" Lloyd Rees, who is also currently the champion. "The Devastator" Kurt Castle. Stylin' Kyle Roberts. And finally, Derrick Steele's pick for this match, Thomas Young. Before we get in to the high points of this match, let's look at how each man got to this match.

It originally looked like Jake Phoenix would come to American Anarchy as the champion, but at Naval Attack, he defended his championship against Rees in a Steel Cage Submission match. It turned out to be one of the greatest matches that REBEL has seen, and in the end, Lloyd Rees was able to walk away as the new champion. Both men deserve the utmost respect after their show at Naval Attack., but in the end, only one man would advance to American Anarchy, and that man in Lloyd Rees. There were three qualifying matches signed to determine who would participate at American Anarchy.

We saw Kurt Castle take on Chad Kurtis as one of the qualifying matches. A week before this at Sands And Slams, Castle attacked Kurtis after his match. This gave Kurtis the incentive to rekindle a feud which the two had had in the past. But at Naval Attack, it just wasn't Kurtis' night. The two men had a brutal match, but in the end, The Devastator came out on top and was announced as one of the participants for American Anarchy.

REBEL Underground also hosted a qualifying match as Kyle Roberts squared off against El Rey de Corrizones. The two put on a spectacular show, both having close encounters of winning the match. But after an ending full of reversals, Kyle Roberts was able to hit the Emerald Fusion and solidify his entrance in to American Anarchy.

The other match took place at Naval Attack as Blood took on the number one contender, Derrick Steele. If Blood was to walk out victorious, he would be added to the match. If Steele was victorious, he would be allowed to choose the final participant. Again, another great match as both competitors gave the fans a great show. But in the end, Derrick Steele was able to put Blood away with the Blue Moon. At REBEL Underground, Derrick Steele announced that Thomas Young would be the final participant in the match at American Anarchy.

Now each of these men have a great chance of walking out of American Anarchy as the World Heavyweight Champion. Lloyd Rees is a very capable athlete. Very few saw this man walking in to American Anarchy as champion, but he did. Rees will have to rely more on his technical skills and his submissionist style in this match. He has three other competitors, and in my opinion, laying back and letting the others fight it out might actually fall against him. He has three other athletes that possess great skills, and laying back may allow one of these three to get a quick victory. He'll also need to isolate at least two of his opponents. If he can bring it back down to a one on one match, I feel that Rees will have the advantage.

Kurt Castle is an impressive smashmouth wrestler. His power game is almost unmatched in REBEL. He defeated a very capable Chad Kurtis in a brutal match to come to American Anarchy. Castle will have to rely on his power game to win this match. He has an arsenal of high impact moves that can devastate his opponents, which will make it easy for him to bring this down to a one on one match. One thing that may take away from his arsenal is if he's looking past this match at a possible Last Man Standing match with Blood. We expected to hear an answer regarding this challenge at REBEL Underground, but it was still left up in the air when the show ended. If Castle is looking past this match, he will lose. Young, Roberts, and Rees all three will see this weakness, and they will exploit it.

Kyle Roberts had a great match with El Rey to show why he deserves to be in this match. If he wants to succeed in this match, he'll have to use his technical skills to try and wear down his opponents. If he can wear them down, he'll take away from their arsenals. And when the time is right, like he does in most of his matches, Roberts will have to hit the quick impact move and get the three count on a worn down man. Roberts has a big advantage in this match as he is both powerful and agile. He had a string of bad luck, but he has his chance to shine again. He might be the most eager to win this match.

Finally we have Thomas Young. Young is the wildcard in this match. He's primarily seen as being a tag team wrestler, but he has the skills to win this match. His technical standpoint will help him alot, as will his submission skills. And as we've seen, Young is good at just straight up fighting. He can rely on all three of these attributes in this match. This is Young's opportunity to shine in the spotlight, and he won't take that lightly. He may be the underdog for this match, but this could be a match to prove to the world that he is capable of being the top dog in this industry. His abilities in the art of submission could secure a victory for him. His technical style will also come in useful to help wear his opponents down. The other three in this match have to be looking at Thomas Young as the underdog for this match, and that will definitely play to his favor.

The bottom line is, this main event could go to any of these four men. And whoever walks out as the champion, they'll definitely have deserved it. Four great competitors battling for the highest prize in the industry...could you ask for anything more? So whether you want to see an Ambulance match where there is sure to be blood. A battle between a red hot contender and a man looking to show that he deserves to be here. Two men that are a pure example of what evil really is clashing against each other. A great tag team battling with an up and coming team that is very capable of being the top of the division. Or maybe a match for the highest prize in the business with four of the world's best giving everything they have to show these fans just what it takes to be a REBEL. Whatever it is you're looking for, American Anarchy 2008 is sure to deliver.
