Lloyd Rees wins REBEL World title!
Lloyd Rees, who has held more titles in NAPW than anyone, won the REBEL World title at the May 12th Naval Attack show. He fought "The Murder City Devil" Jake Phoenix in a brutal Submission Cage Match.
Other matches on the card saw The Black Underground Railroad defend their World tag titles successfully against the brother tandem of Thomas Young and Jeff James.
Derrick Steele, head instructor at Steele Dojo Carolina, which serves as a training center for REBEL Pro, defeated Blood in a World Title Four Way Dance Qualifier. Since he already has an upcoming World title match, Derrick Steele must GIVE the contract away, to ANY wrestler in the World.
Kurt Castle defeated former rival Chad Kurtis in a Four Way Dance Qualifier as well. In what has been dubbed match of the night, and match of the year canidate, Castle and Kurtis went toe to toe, but Castle won after a Belly to Belly suplex landed Chad through a table outside the ring.
The final Qualifier, and the announcement of who Derrick Steele will choose, will take place at the first REBEL Underground show, as REBEL expands it's show format from two a month to three a month. That match will see former and perhaps Greatest REBEL World Champ, Kyle Roberts taking on Mexican Sensation El Rey de Corinzones.
John X Core and Nick Everhardt tagged for the first time ever and defeated the Nation of Innovation. The match gave match makers a huge impression, as Core and Everhardt will take on the Black Underground Railroad at American Anarchy 2008. The title belts WILL be on the line.
