Terror Agrees to Meet White
Jordan White will be getting his title shot after all.
After the show-ending brawl that erupted at WorldWide 99, an irate Jay Terror reportedly stormed back to President Steven Caldera and demanded the match be set. Terror, who has spent the last several weeks trying to prove White unfit for the title shot, now appears set to prove it on his own.
While White has not made any public statements with regards to Terror's challenge, the company is confirming that the match will happen at Dangerous Games in two weeks.
White last received a GCW title shot at Warpath in a triple-threat match with Terror and then-champion Vivica J. Valentine, but White's history with the GCW Title goes back over a year. At Warpath 2007 White won a tournament to become number one contender, and received his shot at Lia Ambrosi at Dangerous Games. White, then a member of The Establishment, broke with the group during the match but failed to capture the gold.
Since then, White has struggled to get another opportunity. After being cheated by former friend Terror at Rampage this year, White has managed to receive a few title shots, but has yet to capture the title.
As a result, some critics believe that White might simply be the greatest wrestler in GCW history who will never win a World Title. White is commonly regarded as one of the most talented stars in company history, but seems to come up short in big-match situations. This has spawned The Establishment's campaign to hold him out of another Pay-Per-View main event, saying that White isn't capable of carrying such a huge spotlight.
But White's tenacity and recent winning streak has left Terror no choice but to attempt to stop him personally. The two former friends and bitter rivals are now on track to meet one on one at Dangerous Games, and the stakes couldn't be higher. Not only is there a wealth of personal issues on the line, but the winner will most likely go on to compete in the main event of the biggest show of the year, NC-17, in December.
The match is being confirmed by the company, but neither wrestler has spoken publicly yet. It is assumed that the company is keeping them quiet until WorldWide 100, where it is expected they will address it for the first time.
Dangerous Games comes to Pay-Per-View in two weeks.
