Paul Williams addresses 'Masked Man'
NEW YORK, NY. More than one week after the IWL aired it's return to pay-per-per view spectacle, Return to Glory, one main question was left open... Who's the champion?
"With regards to the IWL World Championship match at Return to Glory, since neither Rodney Phoenix nor Crazy Boy pulled the championship down and since the match was called to an end, the title remains Crazy Boy's," quoted Paul Williams in the press statement released to EWZine, RK News, and IWLe.com this afternoon.
This appears to be the result of a week's long deliberation between the IWL Championship Committee members as a result of what took place during the ending moments of the Return to Glory Pay-Per-View in which a masked man jumped the barricade and assaulted both Crazy Boy and Rodney Phoenix. Afterward he climbed the ladder to retrieve the world title belt and proceeded to drop it. Before officials and security were able to enter in the ring, the masked man jumped the guardrail and enters the general admission area.
"Naturally, with our next pay-per-view being scheduled for another two months away, I can only hope that this situation is settled by then," continued Williams in the press statement. "I cannot go into details about this matter further at this time. I should be able to answer any questions regarding the matter as of Saturday's OverDrive airing."
What will Paul Williams say? What effect on Rodney Phoenix and Crazy Boy will this attack have? For this and more... be sure to tune into OverDrive [67] live from the Conseco Fieldhouse!
