Fwrestling.com news

Newswire 3.20.2008

-Last night at the PURE DYNAMITE event NAPW was rocked to its core! The two biggest pieces of news are a departure... and a return!
-Donovan Astros has been released from his NAPW contract. Management had no choice after he ruined last nights main event, coupled with his recent behavior, to terminate him effective immediately. All moneys he was owed have been given to the Intern Pete College & Wellness Fund. Astros forfeited the remainded of his contract money to pay for his many fines as well as due to the nature of his termination.

-RAVAGER, who was retired from NAPW by Jake Phoenix last December, signed an open Sole Survivor contract. This does NOT mean Ravager is back in NAPW, but through the loophole, he will participate in Sole Survivor. That makes this a must-win for Ravager. If he wins the match and title shot, he will wrestle again in NAPW. If he does not, this may be a one-time only occurence. Jake Phoenix is reported as being... unhappy with even a one-night return. To say the least.

-Matthew Kurtis has been fined for laying his hands on the referee.

-The Workers Guild of Alberta are all alright. Bruised and in pain, but no serious injuries as a result of their beating at the hands of Matthew Kurtis and his new goons, the returning Grade "A" Alberta Attitude.

-Ian Smith, on behalf of his client "The Show" Chad Kurtis, has inundated NAPW offices with phone calls, text messages, e-mails and carrier pigeons demanding a title shot for "The Show." Kurtis has wins over current champion KRENSHOV and the #1 contender Dan Ryan in the past few months, he certainly has an argument...

-"LDK" Lloyd Rees and Chris Casino will tangle one more time, at Sole Survivor it will be the only two Grand Slam champions in NAPW history squaring off one-on-one! You don't want to miss this match, folks. It will be a classic between two very proud men who hate each other very much.

-If you have not already, read the results for "Pure Dynamite." It was a wild show that will not soon be forgotten.
