World's Finest Wrestling and New ERA of Wrestling are announcing their intentions to join forces and re-emerge under one single banner.
WFW:NE will maintain two television shows: their flagship show RAUCOUS, and their secondary show Almost Live. In addition, the league will run five pay per view events: Destrucity, Merrython, BattleBRAWL, Enemy: UNKNOWN and Superbowl of Wrestling.
The WFW:NE will retain the re-christened WFW:NE Television Championship, currently held by Mr. Entertainment. The WFW BAD World Heavyweight championship, currently held by Steve Johnson and the New ERA PCX Championship, currently held by Jason Payne will be unified as the WFW:NE PRODIGY Classic Xtreme championship in the near future. Likewise, the New ERA World Heavyweight championships, held by both Daymon and Larry Tact, and the WFW World Heavyweight championship will remain independent, yet equal. The organization plans to unite those titles into the WFW:NE World Heavyweight championship down the line.
World's Finest Wrestling: the New ERA will be co-run by Sean Edmunds and Paul Miller. The forums (which are still under the "NEW" heading) will be renamed to reflect the merge. All old WFW archives can now (or will soon be) found under the WFW Archive section of the WFW:NE forums. The website (http://www.neweraofwrestling.net) has already begun the revision necessary to reflect the merge. Roster pages will begin to be filled in. WFW shows will be transcribed and posted on the archives page under the WFW Archived Shows section.
Paul and I both have been itching to get our leagues back in the swing of things. Merging New ERA and WFW seemed like the best way to do so. We've got a lot left to tell in this hobby of ours, and we hope you'll stay with us as we bring our wrestling identity back to the FWCentral forums. This isn't your daddy's wrestling .... this is World's Finest Wrestling: the New ERA!
