(V/O): The National Cable Network, in conjunction with the CSWA and CS Enterprises, is now proud to take you LIVE to Dallas, Texas, for NCN's inaugural LIVE action event. (The NCN and CSWA logos displayed on the screen 'shatter' and dissolve into a picture of the crowd at the arena.) BB: WRESTLING FANS, I don't know if you can hear me over this jam-packed crowd here in the state-of-the-art dazzling American Airlines Center. (Fireworks begin to erupt, along with the CSWA's patented laser light show.) BB: And I KNOW you can barely here me now, but I'm Bill Buckley, here at ringside, along with your co-host, as always, Sammy Benson, as well as this capacity crowd of just over 20,000 here for CSWA SHOWTIME in Dallas. (crowd pop) SB: It's so loud in here that the beer man didn't even turn when I yelled for him! BB: Um, I think he heard you... he's just ignoring you. Or at least he's been instructed to. SB: WHAT?! We're not starting that old song-and-dance again, are we? BB: Orders from the top, Sammy. SB: Why that.... he can't.... somebody's gonna hear about this! BB: And I have a feeling it's going to be me. Folks, we've got a jam-packed hour of action for you tonight. It's our first live broadcast with our new television network partner, NCN, and if Katie hasn't barred the door yet...well, she's in for quite a shock. The action starts off tonight with a rather odd tag team pair against a team that's been touted as one that could take 2002 by storm. Former Greensboro Champion Evan Aho teams up with the 'mystery man' that beat him in New Orleans, current champ Shane Southern! But they've both got a bone to pick with The New Suicide Squad and it's leader, Jimmy V. SB: Aho made the mistake of his career when he waffled on Jimmy V, and tonight, it's time to pay the piper. And I never thought I'd hear someone on TV with a worse Southern accent than you, Buckley, but Southern's drawl takes even your cake! BB: It's a heck of a warm-up match for the other two matches of the night...both of which could be pay-per-view Main Events on any show of the year. In the first, "Good God" Kevin Powers and Cardigo meet up to determine who's going to the big dance as the number one contender to the CSWA World Heavyweight Championship held by "Iceman" Steve Radder. The winner goes to CSWA ANNIVERSARY 2001 as the challenger for the title. SB: First of all, Cardigo still scares me. But you know, as long as he's already admitted killing someone in the past, maybe he'd be willing to help me out with a little problem I'm having with beer vendors! BB: That's not even right... SB: And speaking of ANNIVERSARY, it's December! Isn't the CSWA's birthday in March or April? Is the next PPV gonna be ANNIVERSARY 2002???? BB: That's a question only Chad Merritt can answer, Sammy... but it's true that we're closer to the CSWA's fourteenth birthday now, then it's thirteenth. But it's going to be a New Year's Eve blowout, that's for sure. And both men in our final match will be involved in, if they're still able to wrestle after tonight. Former ClaimStakers turned who-knows-what, Hornet and Eli Flair face off in a match that the world has been waiting for, whether these two are friends or foes. SB: Let's see...Hornet was going out with Ivy, but it's Teri Melton that's pregnant, right? BB: Apparently. SB: Ivy is Flair's sister-in-law, even though his wife passed away, right? BB: Sure. SB: So that means that Teri's baby will be Eli's sister-in-law's former boyfriend's one-night-stand's son or daughter? BB: I'm not even going to attempt to field that one. Folks, let's send it down to Rhubarb Jones in the ring and get things started!
RJ: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to CSWA SHOWTIME in the lovely city of Dallas, Texas! (crowd pop) Our first match is a tag team bout, featuring.... (The PA feed trails off as the commentators speak) BB: Boy am I looking forward to this match. Already in the ring are Shane Southern and his partner Evan Aho, and they're about to meet the New Suicide Squad! SB: I wish these moronic fans would shut up cheering for Aho and Southern, they're putting me off my beer..well..IF I HAD ONE!
(The distinctive entrance music of the New Suicide Squad is queued up and Jimmy
Valiant walks out to a chorus of boos, he pays them no attention as he sweeps
his arm in a grand gesture as if to show off the two wrestlers who walk behind
him. Tsunami and Johnny Lang walk out, staring impassively at the baying
crowds before walking in military fashion towards the ring.) SB: You mean we agree on something?!?! BB: Well, it is the festive period! SB: What in the world does that mean!? BB: The four men stare at each other, it looks like its going to be Tsunami and Southern to start for their respective teams. Collar double tie-up in the middle of the ring, Tsunami into a headlock but Southern takes him into the ropes where Tsunami shoulder blocks him down. Tsunami comes off the ropes again, misses with the clothesline, and again, but Southern doesn't miss with the hip toss and Tsunami rolls to the outside! SB: Smart, smart, smart, Valiant has two clever guys here. BB: Tsunami back in and tags in "The Warhorse Kid" who indicates to Southern that he wants some of Evan Aho. Southern plays to the crowd, he's asking him if he should tag in Aho, and while's he doing that Lang tags him from behind with a clubbing forearm! SB: Hah! Serves him right for being a show-off. BB: Yeah, you'd know a lot about that. Lang takes Southern into the corner and wails away at his chest with reverse knife edges, man I can hear them from down here. Shane covers up as Lang now puts in the boots before flipping him to the floor and applying an armbar. Southern rolls up, twisting and turning, trying to get out of the hold, he leans back..monkey flip! Southern is up and tags in Evan Aho, who vaults in and chops away at Lang. He sends Lang into the ropes and throws him with a massive back bodydrop before coming of the ropes...somersault splash! There's the cover..1...2...Tsunami in to break up the count. Aho pulls Johnny Lang to his feet before drilling him with a dragon suplex, Aho off the ropes again. VALIANT GRABBED HIS FOOT! SB: What? Where? I didn't see anything! BB: Open your eyes Sammy, Aho is reaching down to grab Valiant...as Tsunami levels Aho with a clothesline which knocks him out the ring. Lang tags in Tsunami who scales the top turnbuckle...MOONSAULT ONTO AHO ON THE OUTSIDE! VINTAGE Tsunami IN ACTION THERE! SB: That was a five star move right there Buckley, and Aho will definitely be seeing five stars after that move! BB: Tsunami throws the groggy Evan Aho back in the ring before delivering a punishing atomic drop before following it up with a bulldog and into a pin..1..2...Aho manages to roll the shoulder. Tsunami up quickly and tags in Johnny Lang who scales the top rope and looks down on Aho who's being held by Tsunami. Lang measure him and delivers a fist drop right onto Aho's forehead which knocks him down. Lang picks him up and positions him for a piledriver...AND DELIVERS IT WITH AUTHORITY! LANG HOOKS THE LEG..1...2..SHANE SOUTHERN IN TO BREAK IT UP! SB: Come on ref, keep the other man out of the ring. BB: Didn't you see Valiant and Tsunami grab Aho before?!?! SB: No, when did that happen? BB: Never mind, Lang butterflies Aho and holds him up there before driving him to the ring with a facebuster, what a move by Lang! SB: I told you, this team is going places. BB: Lang reaches over and tags in Tsunami. Lang and Tsunami grab Aho and hold him up in the air with a double suplex..BEFORE CHANGING IT INTO A BRAINBUSTER! AHO'S HEAD HIT THE MAT HARD AND HIS NECK LOOKED LIKE IT CRUMPLED UNDER THE PRESSURE! EVAN AHO IS IN A BAD WAY HERE! SB: I'm sorry, you appear to have confused me with someone who gives a damn! BB: Tsunami seizes the initiative and hooks Aho up in a fisherman's cradle suplex..1..2...Southern interferes again to keep his team in the match. SB: The referee has to take control and stop Southern from cheating like that! BB: Tsunami bodyslams Aho before tagging in Lang, Lang climbs the top rope while Tsunami climbs the adjacent turnbuckle... SB: ...You get the feeling that this is going to be bad for Aho don't you?!?! BB: Both men look at each other...DOUBLE SPLASH FROM THE TOP ROPE! NO..AHO MOVED! THE NEW SUICIDE SQUAD HIT THE MAT AND NOTHING ELSE! SHANE SOUTHERN IS JUMPING UP AND DOWN LIKE A MAD MAN WANTING THE TAG...AHO'S REACHING..HE TAGS IN SHANE SOUTHERN! SB: Uh-oh, Jimmy, your teams needs you Jimmy! BB: Southern is in and he's like a man possessed! He drops Tsunami and Lang repeatedly with right hand after right hand, Valiant is on the apron. AND HE CATCHES A RIGHT HAND FOR HIS TROUBLES TOO! SB: DQ him ref, DQ him! BB: Clothesline by Southern takes Lang down, a dropkick catches Tsunami flush on the jaw and he's down too! Lang is backed into the corner as Southern goes to town on him, Tsunami comes back at him, reverse elbow to Tsunami's jaw as Aho comes in to help out! SB: Bah, the referee has lost this one, the goof! BB: Tsunami with a thumb to the eye of Aho before hitting a DDT on him and sending him to the floor. Lang grabs Southern, he goes for a slam, Southern slides out..PARTY'S OVER! SB: What? BB: PARTY'S OVER! THE PATENTED SUPERKICK OF SHANE SOUTHERN! LANG IS OUT COLD ON THE FLOOR AS SOUTHERN GOES TO PIN HIM. WAIT, TSUNAMI GRABS SOUTHERN AND THEY TANGLE, EVAN AHO CRAWLS OVER AND LIES ON TOP OF JOHNNY LANG..1..2...3!!!! SB: What the heck?!?! BB: The New Suicide Squad have tasted defeat to Evan Aho and Shane Southern. SB: What kind of greedy attention grabber is Aho? He took the glory after Southern did all the work! BB: Are you kidding me? Aho just saw the opportunity to get his team the win. SB: Pah, right! BB: Fans, we'll be back LIVE here in the American Airlines Arena with Powers/Cardigo...NEXT! |
