Grandma Took Me Home
UNCUT 14: DACKFED
EVENING PAPERWORK
Words I live my life by; “Here, better to be drunk than let them see you sweat.”
Good segment. Always dig anything built more through dialogue than exposition. Especially given the match this builds, neither competitor (or those referenced) feature in the segment. Just shop talk between two non-wrestlers, who know what they are talking about.
Bronson still looks like a beast. A little afraid for Cayle but that seems like his wheelhouse. Underdogging it. Good natural feeling dialogue that walked the line of being information heavy and conversational. And I just gleaned my new creato from it. Win, win.
DAVINE INTERVENTION
Wrote it.
Noticed though, I should have put more of an emphasis on "Gamble IS an asshole"
Hindsight.
SCRATCHING THE SURFACE
Had some input.
DRUNKBROS
Fun segment with a quick back and forth dialogue. I imagine it being cut like The West Wing or some other Aaron Sorkin or even Amy Sherman Palladino show.
Definitely gets the point across the “good guys” aren’t done yet. Things are clearly in the making.
Lot of fun to see Angus outside of the Wrestleplex and getting screwed with incessantly. And I’m a sucker from screwing with people's names.
NEW ORDERS
More steller Reaper work from Reapy Justin.
DRUNKBROS II: LIVE BRO OR DIE DRUNK
Back to the Bar. “the Superbeast rabbithole” that clearly has to be the title to Jack Hunter's self published ghostwritten autobiography. Someone give Jack - Pete’s number, I hear tell he wrote a book. Also one of the oddest things I’ve read here in DEF but incredibly entertaining!
I've only heard of L. Bruises spoken of in hushed whispers in my time here, so I can't wait to see what is next.
Love the campyness, dun dun squirrel included, of the ending. Screams 80's B rate horror movie. Perfect for October.
OVERALL
Some what short uncut, or maybe it just felt that way since I had already read mine and Jerald's. Entertaining none the less and a fun start to a new arc.
