Another very solid show that continues to build up to the PPV. The storylines really seem to be gelling very well, and I think that the post-Stevens Era has started to take some shape. I liked the development of Ryan/Stevens dealing with the post-Championship, and the build-up of new talent and storylines has been excellent.
WRESTLER OF THE NIGHT: Copycat, with an honorable mention for Donovan Astros. Copycat continues to do very well and the storyline is pushing forward nicely and has been a pleasure to read. Astros got a tough win over Karl Brown (and well-deserved), and appears to be ready to take the leap.
FACE OF THE NIGHT: Jared Wells. Good to have him back, and even better to have him talkin' smack to former Anthology members.
HEEL OF THE NIGHT: Once again, Stalker continues to wreak havoc on the tournament. Can we get some security up in this joint for the Finals or what?
MATCH OF THE NIGHT: First/Black. The finish was ludicrous and yet, in its own way, made complete sense, and continued Black's utterly insane ascent as a man who continues to win in spite of himself. Straw continues to write well-paced novellas for those of us without full-time jobs.
MOMENT OF THE NIGHT: I enjoyed Stevens' reluctant dropping of the chair as well as Wells' return. And of course the DEA dragging Black out for a win was just the height of absurd storytelling, yet fit very well into the scheme of things.
Another enjoyable card and I look forward to the next one!
