FEEDBACK:
Really good show, I thought. Nice balance of action and vignettes. There's definitely a number of interesting storylines being developed, and it was good to see some fresh blood make a showing in the opening matches.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT:
I'll give it to the main event. The outcome, though not necessarily clean, was pretty fitting given the situation. It really put over Stalker as the next major competitor to Anarky, and opened some doors for the return of Dis. Tact had a very impressive showing, and Copycat's involvement was a good call-back to past angling. There was a lot that happened in this match and the aftermath, but I didn't really feel it was overwhelming. The Intercontinental Title match I feel was a good runner up, with what I felt was a really decent finish.

BEST SEGMENT:
I will give props to Justin for making some decent segments with Stalker and Caitlyn for this show. It really set things up well for the storytelling in the main event, and really gave some insight on Jason Reeve's growing madness over his obsession for the World Title. The was the character has evolved, looking back over the past three years since his debut at Wrestlestock, it's really impressive how far he's come and how his madness is coming to fruition. Segments by Dis and The First also deserve some recognition.

FACE OF THE NIGHT:
I'll give the nod to Stephen Shane. Though it cost him a win, the decision not to use the IC Title when he had the chance was a really telling gesture. Show after show, this character continues to grow on me.

HEEL OF THE NIGHT:
Stalker, primarily for his assault on Caitlyn VALENTINE-Daymon. Every week, you wonder, what's the crazy bastard going to do next?

BEST MOMENT: I have to admit, I'm REALLY happy to see The First back. His leaving seemed really abrupt and without explanation, and the federation seemed to be set back with the loss of a major star. But the return speech was well delivered and true to the character, and this opening moment of the match was truly the biggest surprise from my persepctive.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER:
That being said above... I felt The First's return to Empire Pro could have been built up a little more over time. Opening the show with The First in the ring after a few months of being gone with no explanation was a little sudden. Again, it was the biggest surprise for the show for me, but I almost feel it could have been a total mark-out moment if it had come at some point later in the show, like suddenly stepping out during the main event when everybody least expects it. Then again, The First's message seemed pretty direct that rather than just jumping right back into the spotlight, he's adamant on showing he can climb the ranks again, starting with the tag division... so that's probably not that big of a deal. Again, while it was my closest mark out moment on the match, it just seemed a little out of left field for me. Anticlimactic, perhaps.

I will also be the first to admit that the six-man tag match I wrote was much longer than it should have been. When I agreed to take on a match, I seemingly forgot my tendency to go a little overboard with things. Such is the burden once faces when trying to give a decent amount of exposure to at least six characters involved in the same match while trying to involve an angle of mine. At any rate, I hope it was at least a decent match, even though I realize it's unnecessary length seemed to overshadow other matches that could have used a little more exposure.

MISC. THOUGHTS:
In terms of the angles and storylines taking place right now, everything is really solid. I might have one concern about the Dis storyline. While I like the way a seminal and iconic Empire Pro character is back and making an immediate impact and a swift rise to the main event, I'm hoping it doesn't inadvertently undermine the long-developed push behind Stalker using terrorism to get his bid at the World Title.

The new and returning talent in Rich Mahogany and Adrian Willard is good see, and both new talents made decent debuts. Welcome to the fold, gentlemen. With Willard's non-title win over Cruise especially, the TV Title division seems like it will continue to thrive after the departures of Michael Bastard and Donovan Astros.

Also... call it a hunch, but I think here by the end of the year, Empire Pro might have the best tag team division in FWrestling.

Good show, everybody. Keep up the good work.

FEEDBACK: B+

I would've liked to have seen The First tease his return for at least one show - to start with him in the middle of the ring was just kind of "Whoa, did I miss something?" But at the same time, if he's saying "I made it to the top, now I'm going to do it again," it makes sense that it would be so little fanfare.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Honestly, Straw? I thought the six man was the best written match on the show. In my opinion it's natural that the match with the most participants last the longest, and in this case it "lasted the longest" but also showcased everyone really well. Close second was the main.

BEST SEGMENT: Despite the issues I listed above, The First's return was the best segment, both for nostalgia and for the new possibilities.

FACE OF THE NIGHT: Gotta go with Steven Shane as well - he could've used the belt but didn't.

HEEL OF THE NIGHT: Dis. Multiple Disses? That's heat.

BEST MOMENT: Ryan breaking up the pin.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER: Ryan breaking up the pin.

Let me elaborate - it was a great spot as far as the story of the match and the entire card goes, but with two Disses and Stalker not making the pin to give himself a title shot (there's still time between now and then), it would be easy for Stalker to get swept aside.

I don't think he will - I don't know as much Empire history as I probably should but it's been reading to me like Stalker has been the Machiavellian Madman for the past two years or so, and now his plans are coming to fruition and he's finally going to cash in on a shot at the gold, and while the babyface story is usually best when he's CHASING the heel champ, Stalker's story is really captivating when he's maneuvering and angling for his shot; he's like Dr. Doom, he'll arrange the circumstance, then take advantage.

MISC. THOUGHTS: I'm a ninja?

I absolutely love the feedback, and I should note - there are layers of angle ALL through this card. No detail was placed on flippantly and everything has a purpose on this show, including the suddenness of First appearing, including Dan Ryan just popping in and messing with Stalker.

It's a lot to digest, but that's generally how I roll. I don't explain anything until I do the reveal. I want everyone guessing, and everyone has been. I love that. :)

So, thanks for the feedback so far. I love that you're both a little confused by a few things. All in good time. :)

FEEDBACK: I liked the segments and angles, felt like everyone pitched in and really made the card a big deal.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: I thought the main event had a ton of moving parts and managed to get all of it covered.

BEST SEGMENT: I liked the Stalker incident leading to the stips being put down for the main event, it got over Stalker and it built the main event up to be even a bigger deal.

FACE OF THE NIGHT: Steven Shane.

HEEL OF THE NIGHT: I’ll take Copycat for his return, I knew Stalker and Dis were gonna be awful people, but Copycat was out of the blue.

BEST MOMENT: I liked Stalker’s rage at the end of the match. Everything he’d done taken away from him by Ryan, I almost wish he’d taken a hammer to the EPW World Title afterwards. He already threw the belt in the trash during First’s run so he needs to keep costing EPW money making new titles.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER: I really don’t have any complaints. This is the kind of show that leaves you with more questions than answers, but I figure that the opening of a new PPV cycle should be a show like that.

About all I will say is not really a comment on the show but rather on a booking philosophy…Generally EPW’s had a sort of ‘1-2 cards to address the fall out of the last PPV, and then 1-2 cards building to the next PPV in its standard PPV-4 TV shows-PPV format. This show was a change of that format with Lesbian Siegel already talking about Russian Roulette and offering a title shot to Stalker at that show if he won his match at Agg 60. I mean Copycat/Anarky was kind of known for being the main event for the last PPV arc but it didn’t feel like it was carved in stone or even talked about as much as Stalker/Anarky would have been if Stalker had gotten the fall.

MISC. THOUGHTS: I understand how people would see The First’s return was out of the blue or slotted in the wrong spot, yeah it was sudden to just have him show up, but to me it’s hard to really ‘build’ to a return on FWC. You hype a return for a show and then that show takes 1-2 months to get posted, it’s not like RAW where you can do hype promos for 2 weeks and then week 3 here the returning/debuting character is. And really if I’d teased him, then folks would be excited he’d be coming back anyhow, so I figured I’d just put him out there and skip the ‘he’s coming back’ part and go right to the ‘He’s back” phase…As for opening the show I just wanted to get him out there and to say his piece, that and I really didn’t want him to meddle in the main event or to do anything to try to overshadow it so I wanted him to come out as the cold open to the show, say his piece, and get out of dodge so the rest of the show could go on.

My final thought is I want to see the next show so I can see where the dominoes are going to fall, cause it seems like everything's crazy and up in the air at the moment.

FEEDBACK:
Another great show to read. I enjoyed it from the very start to the main event.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT:
Anything that Ryan writes, I love. The six man tag might have been longer then he wanted it to be, but regardless of length it was of excellent quality. I as well enjoyed the Main Event very much as it showcased alot of Stalker's move set from the profile. Whoever wrote it, thank you.

BEST SEGMENT:
The First's returning segment. I loved him going into detail about what happened with Stalker and how it all came about. Without that segment, Stalker's words would be just that words... The First's segment clarified everything Stalker has been saying as truth. I am sure we will see great things from him this point forward.

FACE OF THE NIGHT:
Anarky on this one. Coming out before the Main Event and making that speech against both Dis and Stalker was great. I hope eventually it will lead to some more segments from him and a better overall presence throughout Aggression's and the PPV's.

HEEL OF THE NIGHT:
Copycat with the Litter-Bomb on Tact was unexpected and a nice fit. Multiple Disses was very interesting as well. I loved how the fake Dis didn't want any part of that main event match.

BEST MOMENT:
The First's return.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER:
Not much I can really think of.

MISC. THOUGHTS:

I hope everyone is as excited as I am about the upcoming storylines here in Empire Pro. We have some amazing handlers and great current champions. The challengers are starting to make themselves known as well and I just hope everyone strikes while it's hot right now. Let's put out some great material.

Also it may go against everything EPW but I would love a shorter cycle to the next ppv. Maybe only two more cards? Just a quick thought, regardless of it possibly happening or not I still got my plans :). Hope everyone is ready for a wild ride.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: It was a little shorter than I'd like (that's what she said), but I really enjoyed Impulse vs. Steven Shane. These two guys have styles that mesh really well in-ring. A pay-per-view match with higher stakes and a little more RP could, I think, produce a real barn-burner.

BEST SEGMENT: I like the Stalker character, and I don't have a problem with his omnipresence on the cards, but one side effect of that omnipresence is that you come to expect him in segments, so he has to work harder than most to make those segments stand out. I thought he did a really good job of that at Aggression 60, particularly in that last segment with Caitlyn Daymon and Lesbian Siegel.

FACE OF THE NIGHT: I have to agree with the others and go with Steven Shane here. I would say this honor is Impulse's to lose on any given night, and it's not that he didn't come out of his title defense squeaky clean, but it doesn't get more babyface-ish (is that a thing?) than turning down the opportunity to use a weapon and get away with it.

HEEL OF THE NIGHT: Dis sending a redshirt in his place for the main event was pretty heelish, but I'd rather give some love to Dopesmoker, whose murder of the lovable Colossal Connection was awfully cruel and opens up a new dimension in his heretofore laid-back character. Let's see where it goes from here.

BEST MOMENT: There were a lot of good right-now moments, but for my money, the confusion ending the show might have been the best because it leaves so many possible paths available for the future. And I'm talking about the Stalker/Anarky/Dan Ryan stuff, not just shilling Copycat's appearance toward the end of the main event match itself.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER: Like I mentioned earlier, I would have loved to see Impulse vs. Steven Shane get more time, but I'll live -- especially if we eventually get to see them in a higher-profile match.

MISC. THOUGHTS: There was a second right after the main event decision was announced that I thought, "Oh, so Stalker can get disqualified for that low blow, but not for the one before or for Copycat interfering?" But that's referee logic talking; Dan Ryan is no referee, and he has his own reasons for getting involved as he did, which I'm sure we'll see in the coming weeks. It's also good to see the roster filling out a bit, with Adrian Willard and Rich Mahogany debuting on this card and the return of the First and his tag team partner in the near future.

I have to say, it was pretty ideal the card was posted just last week. I've been having crazy work times, but luckily that seems to be showing signs of scaling back this week. Having said that, I got around to reading the card, and so...

FEEDBACK: Definitely thought this was a nice way to come off the PPV. I thought there was a good balance between fallout and groundwork for potential storylines being laid on this show. Also wasn't overloaded by segments, but I enjoyed the ones that were there when they came up. Nice job to all involved.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT: Excluding my match, I thought the IC title match was solid, if somewhat clipped. I like the (admittedly) limited work I've seen out of Impulse so far, and I'm familiar with Shane from A1E, so this was one I was looking forward to. I thought the finish was abrupt, but appropriate, especially if they get another go-round down the line.

BEST SEGMENT: I liked seeing The First just appear. Consider when HBK would pop in occasionally during the 90s unannounced. It seemed like a good shock to me, and got my attention from the start, interested to see what angle he'd be taking up. I bought the explanation and look forward to seeing how this team unfolds.

FACE OF THE NIGHT: Jumping on that Steven Shane babyface bandwagon! It was kind of nostalgic seeing a guy pull a classic babyface move like that, dropping the belt and perhaps resisting his competitive instincts. Seeing him abruptly fall after taking the noble route only made me want to see a rematch that much more.

HEEL OF THE NIGHT: I thought Stalker/Dis were both solid. Stalker needing to consider whether or not he would let Caitlyn go-- for a title shot, most people would call it a no-brainer-- was a nice touch, I thought. Not sure if it was intentional, but it showed me just how warped the man's mind is. And Dis pulling the switch was great; came there to slap Anarky in the face, and got it done. The match was just part of the distraction. I want to also give credit to Dopesmoker-- I'm liking the "sane = insane" bit, and think it has a lot of potential.

BEST MOMENT: The Superkick countering a Superkick IC title finish was cool, and First just there out of the blue was neat. But I'm going out on a limb to be different, and say Pat Jones paralyzed by Copycat's presence. I think it speaks to how Copycat's influence has spread, and the danger he presents. I mean, how many people haunt referees in FW because they brainwashed their offspring? It sounds like a Stalker-type move, and we see how much damage he's done. But whereas Stalker is like an explosion, Copycat is more of a subtle operator.

WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER: Aside from wanting more meat to the Impulse-Shane matchup, I thought this was a good card coming out of the PPV.

MISC. THOUGHTS: I thought the fallout with Anarky/Dis/Stalker/Ryan was good; continuing storylines like Dopesmoker's; and building some new ground with First and Tact/Copycat. I'm glad to be along for the ride, and looking forward to seeing how things develop in EPW.
