This thread is the continuation of the altercations between Sylo and Marcus Davis during the UltraTitle Tournament.

Note: Marcus Davis V2 defense of the BHC Heavyweight Championship on June 5, 2012: Marcus Davis (O) v Kazuhiko Hokama (X) via Submission (Kubi Jippa) [22:15]

We open to the Marcus Davis mansion in Fussa, Tokyo, Japan once more. This time Marcus stands behind the podium with his representatives his Publicist Danielle Lira, Agent Amanda Mancini, and 1/3 of his legal team Ashley Hawkins stand behind him. Two dozen or so journalists sit in chairs in front of the podium. Marcus has the BHC Heavyweight Championship seated on the podium in front of him. His body language does not seem all that pleased.

Marcus: I would like to thank everyone for coming here this evening, I would like to make a few statements, to alert you I nor anyone else will be fielding questions after I have completed my statements…

Marcus pauses briefly.

Marcus: As everyone is now aware, I was successful in my defense against Kazuhiko Hokama last week in what was an extremely stiff challenge from one of the best wrestlers I have ever been in the ring against. Everyone is also aware that Jay Edward Sylo has been silent on this the offer the Burning Honor Committee made to him and did not make a statement in the week time frame that was given to him to accept the match…

I have spent the last week convincing the committee that they should give Sylo more time to accept the match in Paris, and early this morning despite the unprofessional nature shown by Jay Edward Sylo they have extended his chance to wrestle me for the BHC Heavyweight Championship match until Saturday, June 16[SUP]th[/SUP] 11:59 PM Japanese Standard Time…

All the reporters begin to type feverishly on their electronic devices.

If he does not respond or does not agree to the match, a replacement opponent will be chosen in his place. Either way, I will be defending the BHC Heavyweight Championship on July 1[SUP]st[/SUP] in Paris. I would personally encourage Sylo to be that opponent on July 1[SUP]st[/SUP] as it was he who began our issues and I would like to quickly put an end to these issues so we both can move on with our lives…

I allowed Sylo to get into my mind and cost me a match that I otherwise would have easily won, and I will not allow him to do so again. If he honestly feels as much ill will towards me as he has led the global wrestling community to believe, than he should have no problems answering this challenge…

Marcus clears his throat.

In my personal opinion Sylo sees wrestling as nothing other than a paycheck that allows him to fund his Mixed Martial Arts....

Air Quotes.

“Hobby.”

He no longer has any respect for the sport and simply uses it to pay for the highest priced trainers who are paid to tell him he has the skills necessary to be the best Heavyweight fighter in the world. Sylo is nothing short of a fighter…

I on the other hand am a Martial Artist and have been since I was a toddler. He enjoys telling each and every one willing to listen that he has the ability to end my career and that he would do such if he ever stepped into the ring with me…

Well….July 1[SUP]st[/SUP] is his opportunity to prove he is more than just talk…

And to address other rumors…yes…the NJWF has allowed me to enter contract negotiations with Jolt! But I have no other information at this time…Thank all of you for coming…

The reporters stand up and shout questions in his direction, which alert the security guards to keep them under check as Marcus and his staff walk to another room of the mansion.

The following is a press release issued by Sylo's representatives.

"We understand Mr. Davis is extremely eager to face the man we represent. Unfortunately, unlike Mr. Davis, our
Client has certain contract obligations to he is accountable for. Also, it seems as though Mr. Davis and his entire
camp hasn't heard of recent altercations that saw our client, Jay Edward Sylo, or just Sylo, slammed into by a
hummer. This was not what the industry refers to as a "work". Although eager to compete doctors have said
he is unable to compete. Although our client insisted we must protect the interest of our client and the brand he
represents. If Mr. Davis let comments distract him, that was his own business. Also, the original challenge was
issued to Mr. Davis and he chose to back out and issue a challenge of his own."

Also, a spokesman for Sylo relayed comments made by Sylo.

"First I'd like to say that I am reading a direct quote from Jay Edward Sylo, better known by just his last name,
and would like to state that these remarks are in no way the expressed opinions of LoC, jOlt, or anyone
associated with Sylo.

"It seems as though Davis lives under a rock. He refused a challenge directed toward him and then continued to
push this match he threw up as a way out. Now, to make himself look better in the eyes of the wrestling
community he has started trying to build a name for himself off me. That, in itself, is quite pathetic.
Simply put, Davis knew I was under contract with a major federation and tried to use this as a way to piggy
back his way into the spotlight. I got in the guys head and now his ***** hurts because he lost. Big deal.
Now, apparently, I'm a coward for working for a real company. Davis knows of the Hummer incident yet
continues to try to make it look as though I backed out. Plain and simple Davis is a *****. He acts like a
*****, walks like a *****, talks like a *****, and even makes excuses for losing a match like a *****. Good
luck on your contract deal with jOlt. I hear Johnson could use another no-body sucking the corn out of his
ass. Plus, every federation needs fodder. Have fun jerking off to your "pure" style of wrestling and possibly
one day when you're actually on my level I'll deal with you then. Until then, have fun being the nobody you
are with the title nobody gives two fucks and half a shit about."

We are returning back from commercial and hosts the sharply dresses Yoshio Jin and the always lovely Shika Maki look at each other as if they are expecting something big. The camera pans out and shows “The Dream” Marcus Davis sitting across from them, the BHC Heavyweight Championship sits on the table in front of him.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]A smirk comes across Marcus’ face as he adjusts the collar of the dress shirt underneath his vest. [/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Marcus: What do I think about Jay Edward Sylo? He obviously is surrounded by people feeding him nonsense over and over, just for him to believe he has a name that anyone can build off of, is quite pathetic. My resume speaks for itself; I don’t need to make a name for myself. That’s not why I’m in this sport…I don’t hold this title because nobody cares about it, I don’t need Sylo for anything.[/FONT]

It’s not like this challenge wasn’t made way before then and wasn’t a publicity stunt like his wanting to getting an easy way into the world of MMA. He’s only relevant right now because he makes senseless accusations, used my name to create controversy, otherwise nobody would care about Jay Edward Sylo. So, I will be making my way to that promotion and wrestling for them when my schedule permits. Will Sylo step into the ring with me then? Well, let’s just say he may not have a choice at some point. He won’t be able to run forever.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Marcus: I’m not worried about that, I have flexibility in my Jolt schedule and I am not going to back down from any challenge that comes that way…[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Marcus: Yet knowing Jay Edward he will sit back, continuing to take shots at my character and live under the impression that his words mean something to me. He doesn’t want to step into ring in the sport he claims that he could end my career in…[/FONT]

You are correct I have been involved in Martial Arts my entire life, Sylo sees MMA as an opportunity to gain more fame, to feed his ego, and a paycheck. He doesn’t see Martial Arts for the mental aspects, which dominate the disciplines, he just wants to try and hurt someone.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Marcus: That also is true, finding an athletic commission to sanction the fight in the US would be difficult, so the fight would probably have to take place in Japan..which I’m sure he’d refuse to even step into when he knows the kind of hostility to face. I know I have the technical advantage on paper and the experience advantage, but again I’m not a Mixed Martial Artist. I understand that…The difference between Jay Edward Sylo and I is I recognize that. I respect martial arts, I never wanted to be a Mixed Martial Artist, I feel that is a complete different entity than studying the pure disciplines. [/FONT]
