("Total Carnage" Trevor Cane stands in front of the camera; nothing behind him. His sigh has a hint of disappointment as he folds his arms across his chest.)
Cane: Here we are. Standing, not in front of NEW cameras, but in front of WFW:NE cameras. Still, no matter how hard I try, I just don't have the adrenaline gushing through me. I have Adam Benjamin to thank for this lack of, what you could say, intensity.
(Cane unfolds his arms and places his hands on his hips before slowly shaking his head.)
Cane: Adam, if there is one thing you are correct about, it would be that you do not do hype. Your soulless speech left me void. Is this some trickery? Are you planning to lull me into a state of unconsciousness? I must admit that it almost worked there.
(He takes his right hand off his hip and quickly rubs his nose.)
Cane: Let us not fool ourselves, Adam. I will chuck your half-assed attempt earlier to rustiness. But on WFW:NE RAUCOUS, I do hope that you show a bit more life. Don't make me beat it out of you.
(He smiles as the words roll off his tongue. The smile departs as quickly as it came and he lets a breath out.)
Cane: During the long layover, the ban if you will, I sat down and thought about my career and how it stagnated. I've never really achieved what I wanted, much to my chagrin. At first I attributed it to the weak persona I was given when I first joined way back in 2004. Now I realize that it was more than that. Starting in Little Rock, and you, things are going to be different. Adam, I really think that you should take a step back and look at this objectively. This isn't some regional promotion that is just starting up. You're not going to be in the ring with Bobo the Clown and Jack the Liquored Up Louse. This isn't a one and done deal where you step into the ring with some rookie they pulled off a high school wrestling team so you can make a quick buck, pack up, and move on.
(Cane's eyes are slowly becoming more lively.)
Cane: When you step into the ring in the ALLTEL Arena you will be staring face to face with "Total Carnage." Man up, Adam. You've been in this business for years; maybe too many. Has the fire died down? The Adam Benjamin I just watched on the television must be a characterture of who he once was. Let us hope that the real Adam Benjamin comes to WFW:NE RAUCOUS. I want a challenge, Adam. This is my first match in almost two years. I've sat around training for the day when I would step through those ring ropes again. I don't want it to be for naught.
(He pauses and drops his eyes to the ground, his voice lowering.)
Cane: Try Adam. Try to beat me down. Take your fingers, tuck them into a fist and let it fly. You won't like the consequences. Like you said, Adam, this isn't personal. You will be the first of many steps I take to the center stage. While you, (he pauses, bringing his eyes back to the camera) begin the Downward Spiral.
(Cane looks off camera and nods.)
Cane: I welcome the pain you intend to inflict to my body. I just pray that it erases the pain your words inflicted upon my ears.
(Cane walks out of the camera shot. A few seconds late the shot fades out.)
