Very nicely done. Read through everything a few times now and it's definitely a strong show. The "Send-'em-home-happy" moment at the end was unexpected, and the show set up some very interesting stories.

I will give more detailed feedback very shortly, but I just want to say publically... I am flattered, I am honored, I am humbled, I am grateful, I am thankful.

To everybody that RPed in that match, it's sad that there can only be one winner, but it goes without saying that you guys pushed me to a limit that I hadn't seen in years, and I'm glad that was conveyed in Stevens' expressions and reactions in, yet another, brilliant match written by the best main event writer of our time, Ryan Strawsma. Stanton, what can I say... everytime a post went up, there you were with another, and while - at times - it was stressful trying to keep up, I appreciate you and your desire to handle the EPW champion. Effort like yours adds credibility to the EPW title, and you've set a standard, that if anybody wants to be able to say that they've gotten a victory in a thread that you're in, they'll have to work their ass off for it. Much respect to you, as well as the other two gentlemen in the match.

Dave, thank you. You already know how I feel about how much you've believed in me as a writer.

Lindsay, I've been waiting. What took you so long? Let's do this. :)

I know you guys must be sick of me, right?

This show was pretty CONAN. Good job on everybody who contributed, and once again, sorry for the delay.

Sad to see HOPE self-destruct. Happy to see Karl Brown pick up the TV Title.

Happy to see Karl Brown pick up the TV Title.

Hey F*CK YOU!

Nah, you deserved it Karl. Glad to see you earn it after working so hard for a few consecutive shows, and for being such a good sport about Layne giving you that beatdown a while back. ;-)

I'll post more feedback later when I have time to really read everything over, but congrats to Jay...WILL SOMEONE BEAT THIS GUY ALREADY?! It goes without saying...when the next money shot rankings go up, Stevens will surpass JTP as #1. Not only because of his effort at Black Dawn, but between that and the fantastic work he's doing in NFW, it's clear that Stevens is top dog in FWC right now. All the credit in the world, man.

Stanton, you're dead to me.

Sorry to those I failed

Jay you're a great writer, we went to war in that thread, I hated the big-timing no-selling stuff before Black Dawn, but you stepped it up there big time.

I put a little over a year into this title chase, did everything I could, and I came up short, it hurts is about all I can say. It hurts more to me that I feel like The First was really damaged in it all...Everything building to that match was that he was a choke artist, blew it in the clutch, couldn't win the big one, and it was all proven true...Straw told me he did all he could to protect him, but really there is no protection in a spot like that, you win or you lose. I really don't know what to do with the character in EPW, his opponent's promos write themselves, and also, if I didn't win the title after all this, I feel like I never will. Now I know Billy and I joked about the fact that I like winning world titles, and that this is a crime in E-Fedding, and thusly I should be on the "Registered Belt Offenders" list, the chase and winning titles is what I enjoy, and this sucked.

I don't know if I'm done in EPW, or First is done here, or whatever, I just need some time to clear my head and think about things.

Thanks for the kind words and putting up with me.

I just don't see how an opponent's promos write themselves here, or how anyone can call you a choke artist for losing to "Triple X" Sean Stevens unless they've beaten him for the belt themselves. So if I was writing the First, and anyone other than a returning JA or Rocko Daymon said sh*t to me about choking or not beating Stevens, I'd tell them to STFU.

But that's just me.

That said, I know how it feels to not win the big match you sold out for. I banged my head HARD into that glass ceiling before breaking through. As a matter of fact, talk to Jay about the glass ceiling he fought before really breaking through in EPW. We used to chat about us being part of the glass ceiling club all the time.

But you are CLEARLY a main eventer and a championship level character. If this RP thread and writeup didn't prove that, I don't know what will. If you give up, I think that would be a shame. I know you've won with other characters - I don't wanna turn this into a 'keep your chin up' speech - but I THOROUGHLY like that character, and it would be sad to see him go.

Again, no one else has beaten Sean Stevens here since JA did it in September of 2008.

2008.

Once the disappointment wears off, remember that.

To quote Galaxy Quest.... never give up, never surrender!!!

School, man! SCHOOL!

I'll still be taking summer classes but if we're gonna do this feud you've been hounding me to do for a few years, now's the time to do it.

Now you all will have the pleasure of watching me try to write trash-talk RPs after three years off. Try not to laugh too hard. :)

I understand your frustrations, as I've had them myself. With that being said, I really think you should listen to Dave. The problem with RP feds is, we build these perfect stories up in our heads, with an ending in mind that makes perfect sense, however, those endings are not always guaranteed. I lost 8 or 9 matches in a row spanning from NFW to TEAM to EPW, and I remember how it felt, so I would never be insensitive and not sympathize, but you have a great character, who - despite not winning the world YET - was pushed pretty hard. It'd be a shame to see him go just because the ending you envisioned didn't quite play out like you hoped.

The no selling? You hated it, but I remember specifically explaining to you through AIM that the Triple X character would do that until First legitimately earned his respect, which would happen around the time of the big match, which is exactly what happened, if you go back and read the RPs. I'm sorry that you're upset, and I hope that it gets better, and most importantly, I hope that this doesn't drive you away.

Seriously, I can't seem to hold onto a World Championship for more than a month and people seem to think I'm halfway decent. Chin up, Mike. No shame in losing to Trip X.

Show was very well done, and I kinda marked a little at the end with Lindz returning. Good show.

I kept meaning to come back and give a full review of the show, but it's quite difficult. I really think it was a terrific show even if every single element didn't necessarily work for me. Overall, I just think Empire Pro is firing on so many cylinders. Most matches would be considered epics in most leagues across the Internet. The RP quality is also sensational. Week after week I feel like I'm really Rping against great people, and Fuse was no different. Mostly, I just feel really impressed by well the league is being run, by Brunk, and mostly by the members themselves, who contribute the cards and all the promos and who drive the storylines of Empire Pro.

So yeah, it was great to see more of a really great product, and I continue to look forward to EPW for as long as it manages a rather impressive run, at least from my somewhat limited perspective (or at least FWCentric one).
