Hey folks. So, the bawsman has expressed interest in seeing an increase in Defiance public relations and news activity. I'm going to step up and take this on. One of the responsibilities I'll be assuming is the constant generation of news content on our homepage. Fun stuff like press events, unofficial gossip, backstage happenings, etc. So naturally, it will require the usage of most if not all of the characters in Defiance.
I'm big on getting permission from handlers for any kind of usage no matter how big or small, especially when I'm making up actions and events for them. So if you could shoot me a PM upon reading this letting me know that you're down to give me the creative use of your character for news and publicity related happenings, that would be awesome. I won't use any character whose handler I haven't heard from.
I'm hoping this can be something to give us all a ton of new things to play off of. I remember when we did that autograph signing recently, a few people used that to their advantage in roleplays and I thought that was awesome. With new content being generated on the homepage every day, this should be really cool in terms of idea generating and keeping the creative juices flowing even in between cards and RP periods.
If you want more personalized, creative news posts about your character, take an extra minute to briefly describe his/her personality, relationship with the fans and the press, and anything else you think is worth mentioning for me to really get them right when I write for them.
NOTE - I won't actually be giving them any dialogue without clearing it with you first, and any time I'm looking to do anything really really specific or significant, I will personally touch base with you first. For now, I'm just looking for permission from you guys for usage in general, day-to-day happenings.
