THE NEED TO KNOW
Submission Deadline: Sunday, August 14th @ 11:59pm PST
Posting Deadline: Tuesday, August 16th @ 11:59pm PST

All content should be submitted backstage by the Sunday deadline. The Tuesday deadline is a staff guideline, and exists to give Pete enough time to proofread the show before we post it.

Please do not abuse this. Ensure that all your work is submitted by Sunday evening, otherwise it may not be proofread.

GENERAL NOTES

PLEASE READ THIS INTRO CAREFULLY:

First, a little background on how we’d like to see things done this arc…

A lot of time, effort, and collaboration goes into populating the runsheets, most of which involves staff hopping around between booking docs and piecing things together like a jigsaw puzzle. In order to save our sanity (a little), we’re going to try something new for the MAXIMUM DEFIANCE cycle and if it goes well, we’ll carry it forward.

Based on matches we knew were happening with DEF*MAX and with the fantastic push by everyone to state up front on the forums what matches they had planned already and what shows they could be booked on if needed, we arranged the matches in a line-up like what we’re all used to seeing. Here’s the difference: most segment slots are open for the taking.

What does that mean? Well…

You’re still going to use the segment template that we’re used to using in our booking docs:

SEG:
Title (if known):
Who is Involved:
NPC/Staff Characters:
Physical Location:
Card Placement:
Writer:

But you’re going to tell us which number you need in the card placement line. Then we’ll update the runsheets accordingly. Here’s an example:

SEG:
Title (if known): The Rundown
Who is Involved: Angus/Keebs
NPC/Staff Characters: They are
Physical Location: Announce table
Card Placement: Segment #1
Writer: Evan

It’s not much of a change for you all but it’s hopefully a time saver for staff. And we want staff happy, yes? (Yes.)

Segment positions are first-come, first serve. Right now, there are two to three segment slots between matches on DEFtvs and one segment between matches on the PPV (excluding one following the rundown). We can add more if needed but it’s better to try and fill out a card in full before trying to add extra slots and risking some matches not having enough of a buffer between them. If you need a slot before a match and someone already calls it, ask if they’d be willing to switch. Remember: we shouldn’t be adding too many segments to shows if they’re not needed because that’s what we have UNCUT for.

Please also check your matches in the runsheets for referees. This will still be on you all to do in your booking docs. If you haven’t shared those with staff yet (Justin, Brunk, Evan, Lindz), please do so ASAP.

DEFtv 69 is booked in the compiler now but every single match needs an assigned referee. Will someone from each match grouping please let me know by end of day today who I need to assign to your slot? Otherwise, when I get home from work I will be assigning them myself.

There are still a number of feuds/characters who don't have a single segment for the whole arc.

What are you guys doing?

Don't make me call you guys out in public. Get your acts together and get moving. Last warning.
