You know what to do.

One thing I'd like to see is some segment by segment feedback.

I know a couple of you have it in you.

Feedback isn't supposed to just be ass-kissing and smoke-blowing.

That... shit... was... epic.

Super awesome to see so many different, really exciting stories and characters and conflicts hitting a boiling point in the form of coming together to form one gigantic war of good guys vs bad guys. I can't remember ever playing amongst this level of character and handler collaboration and, for me, that's one of the things that really makes this game special. Also, in general on this card, the level of matchwriting was through the damn roof. I'm infinitely more motivated to be productive every week when I know there's a good chance it could lead to something more than my character coming out, throwing around some moves from the move list in his bio, and then disappearing for the night after we cut to the next scene. Which is obviously not to say that I only enjoy reading shows when Python is heavily involved, because there are soooo many characters here that I love. I just mean that I love to be surprised, I love finding my character being used creatively, and I love seeing him show up in other people's work throughout the card because it reminds me that he is being read and explored and thought about and understood. And nothing will ever keep me more motivated than that. So to all who were involved in the awesomeness of putting that show together, thank you for that.

Here are two general things that made me very happy throughout the read:
The crowd chants
Angus' consistent unprovoked fury toward DDK

Now, on to the play by play.

The Gold Standard

LOVED this entire god damn masterpiece of an opening segment. I was already so stoked on this show before I even got to Kai Scott's entrance, and it just kept getting better and better. How fucking cool. Also, this ruled:

[Ace Dentari is Italianious.]

I really enjoy seeing Dane back in action and having to work hard to restore his idea of "order". Really interesting direction for him, to be presented with a challenge like that at a time when things are at their craziest. Looking forward to seeing where it goes.

Seth Stratton vs Brian Slater

Stratton's entrance was hilarious. Really enjoyed the bit with the fan getting involved, really told you everything you needed to know to get the idea of Stratton's character haha. Fun match in general. Hoping to see the poor officiating here referenced again at some point in the future. It's so disappointing when interesting things like that happen and then just disappear from the universe.

Why Not More Feit

The progression of the Untouchables' story throughout this entire show is wonderful to follow. I'm super invested in it as a reader and I can't wait to see where it goes from the point it ended at on this show.

CVC's car made me lol

I'm so into Heidi vs Sawyer. All of it, every bit.

What is your problem?

This seg was made extra cool by the opening seg. Context is a very useful thing. In all honesty, I'm not as familiar yet with Walker and Greer as I'd like to be, and this segment alone was a step in the right direction. Great look at them and Light and their dynamic as a team as well as people with a bit of history sprinkled in, too.

Dewey vs Knight

Short but sweet and solid. Angus' shit was gold in this one. I'm a big Dewey fan, always glad to see him do his thang.

Office Time

On any ordinary card, this would have been my favorite seg. Just happens that they were all basically equally great on this one. I'm going to go ahead and say Tom Sawyer was the in-character MVP of this show in my books. Can't remember the last time I read a character that I so genuinely wanted to root for, he works his ass off, and it was so gratifying for me (as a fan who has gotten behind him in recent weeks) to see him rewarded and appreciated by Eric Dane. What a fucking great moment.

Face Value

Good old CVC haha, brutal as ever. It takes a real solid character to make me cringe uncomfortably when they say douchy things. Nobody does it better.

Mike Sloan Xperience vs Philosopher Kings

Great action in this one. Looking forward to seeing how MSX develops to deal with recent frustrations. 5/5 star Angus transition into...

Meeting or Pleading?

Yesss. Love to see this kind of detail-oriented business. Adds such a level of realism that's so often completely ignored in feds.

Southern Heritage Four Way Title Match

A perfectly douchy finish to suit a perfectly douchy victor. Wouldn't have minded seeing this one run a little longer. CVC is a good champ and a great fit for that belt, but so are those other guys. I hope they continue to keep his hands full.

Psyching Up

Nice to be reminded that Tom Sawyer is a wresting fan at heart getting to live his dream. Little things like asking Walker for his autograph go a long way.

Pre match seg

Well... I obviously meant to rename this lol. I guess I didn't.

Tom Sawyer vs Python

Loved loved loved this. Hell of a job. Thank you, Kevin. Couldn't have been happier with the result, I think a draw after a match like that did wonders for both characters in different ways.

Also, this wins everything:
Angus:
Real tide-turner, that one. Now if only he can follow it up with... Hey, what’s this kid’s finish? Frogsplash?
DDK:
A top rope corkscrew tornado double-knee jawbreaker named the Snake Bite.
Angus:
So... What’s this kid’s finish? Frogsplash?

Backstage Interview

Awesome job establishing tension and building into...

Untouchables vs Tres Brujas

THIS crazyness.Probably one of the best written wrestling matches I've read in a long time. If memory serves, I believe Lee wrote it, so no surprise there. Technical expertise and move creativity aside, this match was made even greater by the plot twist. I mean, the match itself was a hell of a situation in the first place. But shit is now officially real in Untouchableland.

Promo

Amen to the welcoming of Dan Ryan as a legit and important part of Defiance. Dude is so good. Like, sooooo good. Last line of this promo gave me chills. If you skipped it, fuck you, fuck what you're doing, go back, and read it.

THE MAIN EVENT

Dude... dude. I want to build a shrine to this thing. You are a beast, Evan. One of the wildest, most exciting sequences of events I've read in a very long time. What a blast. Honestly guys, they don't make 'em like this anywhere else. Appreciate what goes on here and enjoy the fuck out of it.

Like I said in the other thread, I thought Python had a huge night. The double draw against Tom was a great rub, and puts him on the map of wrestlers to be taken seriously. Then, he goes and shows up big in the impromptu main event. I was really impressed with how he was written through the entire show, so much so that if I had to take one thing away from it, it would be Python's performance.

That would also suck, because Dan Ryan, the world champion of everything(except defiance lawl), beaten and bloodied and still showing resolve was almost just as awesome. I read that part where he tags into the match, and instantly pictured his micro with a Shining-esque red face. which is something King should look into. I thought his seg set the tone for the Box/Ryan match nicely as well.

Kai Scott also had a great show. The moment at the end of trio's match where he looks over at his former stablemates and sighs made me feel sorry for him, nicely done. His seg work across the board was also on point. Great story telling.

Sawyer/Heidi, when it happens, will be awesome. I am excited to see where it goes next, much like I am excited to see what happens to the Untouchable’s next.

That said, I don't want to come off as dick, but I think I like Kai Scott and Heidi more without Jeff Andrews. Again, not to knock anyone, but they seemed to have an edge to them that they didn't before.

I was privy to reading the opening seg beforehand. I think Lee, Damien, Zorty and Brian did a fantastic job with it.

Seth Stratton is as intriguing as ever, I guess a welcome back to Defiance party is in store. I'm a huge fan of the Muta Spray, and I think it should be in everyone's move list.

Tom getting a raise was nice. If anybody deserved it, it would most certainly be him.

I agree the trio’s match was top notch. Great read.

Ty Walker hustling the ring crew was priceless. Really added another facet to the character. That whole seg was right on, with Greer responding the way he did to Light.

Von Crank is as vulgar as they come. Though, Dan is also as vulgar as they come for not properly formatting his segment. Jk. but get that shit proper.

This show, supposed to be a down show for the one after a PPV, though might have taken its time... was well worth the wait.

Great job on the main event. The whole thing was a mark out. Jiles wrestling barefoot and in slacks will only add to his legend. Great job on the nicknames. The triple suicide dive was incredible.

I’m pretty high right now, so I’m going to stop.

Two people can give feedback?

I certainly hate holding the Lineup because only two people gave feedback.

Hurts my heart, it does.

I dug the opening segment. I liked that everyone involved got some spotlight and that it wasn't just a showcase for Dane to be DA BAWS and CCJ to be the champ.

I forgot how much I enjoyed the banter between Keebs and Angus. They make the matches easier and more entertaining to read. The matches themselves aren't the chore to read that I remembered. I skimmed at first, but went back and read them more thoroughly later. Habits being hard to break and all that.

I also appreciate the use of edits by staff (Justin and Jeff?) to make things fit coherently.

CVC is highly amusing to me and the four way title defense was well done.

Tom vs Python was hot. Liked that it went to a draw. Happens so rarely anymore.

I'm channeling my thoughts on the nWo days on this bit. I think it'd be nifty if The Untouchables fracture and go their separate ways now that their reign has ended. All them could find things to do and always leave the possibility of them returning to form.

Dan Ryan is a beast.

I'm sure there is more that could be said, but my short term memory sucks. I'll get with the program on how things work around here so I get my stuff on the show. Sorry about that.

Working on the opening seg was a blast. I know I got to the party a little late and so no one really got to reply to Kai's pro-Untouchables nonsense, so sorry for that. Alceo Dentari's kind of a little prick and I hope Heidi gets around to killing him. The only complaint I could possibly think of is I'm not really sold on the crowd saying cha-cha-cha, can we maybe use a different sound effect?

I like Seth Stratton. I like watching sneaky douchebag heels outsmart bigger tougher faces.

Heidi/Sawyer may be the best feud currently in Defiance. Tom's so self-righteous that you almost route for Heidi, and then she tries to kill him and it's like oh god what the hell.

Is Team Danger going to follow in the footsteps of the Untouchables and implode? I'm barely familiar with Walker, it was nice seeing him get some talking time here.

I'm actually quite enjoying watching Eugene Dewey slowly become a better wrestler. He kind of stumbled after the World Title match against Andrews, but he should be up there. And I'm not blaming Damien - believe me I know how hard it is to keep 2 characters over at the same time. I liked Knyte too, sucks he's gone.

Why yes, Tom Sawyer does deserve a raise.

You know, Defiance just fucking runs the gauntlet when it comes to heel archetypes. CVC's a great addition, and would be even greater if his seg was formatted - then again I'm surprised Jeffro didn't catch that.

Good trios match. Rob can go on the boards, I wish he had moar wurkraets.

Thanks, whoever wrote the 4 way dance, for overshadowing the facesit spot in the UTs/TBs match.

I laughed at Sawyer asking Walker for an autograph. Back years and years ago, Kai Scott was in an angle where a young wrestler asked him for an autograph. Since Scott was in full dickmode at the time, he signed the kid's forehead and then made the kid wrestle his bodyguard.... ah memories. Kevin, we should probably talk. That is, if there's going to be anything of Sawyer left by the time Heidi's done with him.

Good in-ringer by Python. He's come so far since the days he teamed with Shelly Hollins.

And face vs face flippydoo matches are usually fun, this one was no exception.

Thanks for all the nice things everyone had to say about the UTs vs TBs match. The Untouchable angle didn't turn out even close to the way I wanted it to, and whoever said that Scott and Heidi were better off without Jeff, I think you're probably right. I am trying to write Kai as sympathetic, without turning him face, like the kind of person you'd say "that poor stupid shit" about. I don't know what's going to happen with Tres Brujas, I'm not feuding with myself, so I might be up for angle work if anyon'es looking for any.

And another classic Defiance impromptu 8 man tag main event. Hell yes.

The Gold Standard:
This segment tickled me because during the final runup to this show airing, I watched Smackdown and they had a segment that began with an inring interview(MizTV) with Orton and Big Show being interviewed. Then Jack Swagger came out to talk shit and be a heel. Then Alberto del Rio came out to talk shit. Then Mark Henry. Then Sheamus. It turned into an 8-man tag as booked by Teddy Long(Playa!).

Sure, this Gold Standard segment didn't end that way, but when I mentioned that WWE segment to Justin, he went "Uh, maybe I should rebook." Then didn't bother because that'd be silly. We're not competing with the WWE or anything, fuck that. But this is a tried-and-true formula for pro wrestling, and I liked that it ended with setting up the overall main event angle leading into the next payperview. Ladder War was awesome and established one of my favorite feuds in DEFIANCE, as well as making Box the name he is today. Seeing a sequel is gonna rule. This was a fun segment that would have been improved only by getting Justin more editing time and not having his internet connection be fucked up.

I liked the crowd reactions, but I'm not sure if I really think a crowd would do the elongated cha-cha-chachacha thing. Then again, they just might. Maybe a little more moderation, I dunno. Something about it was mildly annoying, but fun stuff overall.

Stratton/BBS
I like getting Stratton reestablished with some silliness and some fun wrestling. This was a solid little fun-match. We all knew where it was going(So long as Stratton showed up), and I like the overall angle. It gives Stratton a fun thing to bounce off of as we go forward.

(Slater should have won because his ring music is much better than Stratton's.)

WHY NOT MORE FEIT
Lee, thanks for pitching in. Your additions to this segment took it from a fun Kevin thing to making the segment actually forward more things than JUST Tom/Heidi. That's exactly what I love about collaborating AND Google Docs. Christ, I love Google Docs. I would fuck Google Docs gently and tenderly if I could.

Maybe Lee too, I dunno. (TMI?)

WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM
I loved this segment because I love Walker and Greer. The charisma between these two is undeniable and one of the reasons I'm so into seeing TD-the-tag-team come back. I always love reading the RPs and segments these guys do. I can't do much aside from fellate them. Only other thing is that y'all should follow the formatting guide.

http://www.fwrestling.com/showthread.php?24352-Defiance-formatting-guide

Use dat.

Eugene/Knyte:
Bummer that Knyte noshowed and is gone. Again. But hey, Eugene got to kill someone dead! Huzzah! I really want to try to help Eugene as a character be a big name in the near future, and intend to keep working on that with oncards with Tom in the near future.

Office Time:
I didn't like how this segment ended. Justin at one point said he was gonna get around to fixing it, then his internet died. Still, fun segment that I wrote, so I'm not gonna belabor the point. I like my writing, for the most part.

Face Value:
We all know the issue with the NSFW gif at the end, which I thought was funny. Don't use NSFW gifs on DEFBoards or results because for once, we're not a sausage party. Also, some folks like to browse DEF while at work, we don't want to get anyone fired for reading e-fed shit.

Fix your fuckin' formatting and use the formatting guide next time, buttlord. Other than that, I'm a big fan of CVC because he's a great fuckbrain heel who everyone hates. Good work doin' that. I want to see a midcard division coming more to life centered around Chance, so hopefully we can get that going.

Mike Sloan XPerience vs Philosopher Kings:
The Philosopher Kings should make more jokes based on old philosophers. May I suggest this video?

Mike Sloan is a butt and I don't care about him. I'm sorry to be harsh, but I really dislike him because he feels like he's trying very hard to be other names like Eric Dane. That said, I'm a big fan of Curtis Penn and his ring music. I'd love to see Penn decide to break out from Sloan's shadow and try to become his own man, leading his own team. I think that Penn could do some solid, cool stuff in the near future as either the leader of the team or as his own singles wrestler.

I've been into Troy Matthews for a while. I hate how his handler keeps vanishing for a while, then coming back, because it kills all of Troy's momentum dead. I'd love to see Troy hold some belts and become someone valuable to DEF, in-character. And I'm interested to find out more about Mushigihara and Eddie Dante. So, yeah. Do more with them soon. Cool.

Short, but fun little match. Add more line breaks during these bigger chunks of text in the future, because it's hard for me not to just glaze over and start skipping lines, lose track of the match and just go "Oh, fuckit, who wins" and skip to the end.

Meeting or Pleading?
This segment, while fun, and establishing Greer in DEF once more, also shows that Eric Dane isn't going to be acting like Andrews was and favoring people because they were his cronies. Dane is a businessman now. He's closed the books on every old feud, whether it be Mandrake, Andrews, or anyone else. He killed the WfWA to put it out of its own misery, and now is focused on providing the best wrestling product possible. There's no skeletons left to turn into big old "Who is the guy in charge?!" angles, so we can just have Dane work as the impartial, business-focused bossman.

I love that. We don't need to worry about who runs DEFIANCE, we get to have Dane have that job ironclad and shackled to his ankle. Now we get to worry about who has the belts, who's the top badass in the company, and we're not gonna get dragged into retarded shit like what's been happening on Raw with HHH feeling like he needs to get dressed one last time to fight again and again and again. Dane's an untouchable badass but nobody really needs or wants to see if he's still got it. We know he's capable of fighting, but if you really want to fight someone, he'll just let you have at Sawyer or Ryan or Jiles or Light or Greer or someone.

Which is cool.

Anyway.

Crazyfuck Fourway:
I typoed Fourway to be Fourwar, and I like that name.

Why is Tucker still entering to no music? He needs to get somethin' going to really give the fans something to grab onto. I've read his bio and I like the character concept, but he needs to begin showing a little more personality for me to get on board.

I like Turner, but I realize that he's tagteaming elsewhere and that King is busy with other shit. Still. STJ is a fun character and I hope he'll continue being a solid member of the midcard instead of slipping down to doodle around in obscurity. I will say that part of that is my bad for the failure of the Good Fight. I'm no good at figureheading face stables. So... I think I'll avoid that in the future.

I still don't know how I feel about Lash. He's a fun face, and "simple man" gimmicks are sweet, but his speech pattern annoys me sometimes. Whatevs, doesn't bug me enough for it to be a problem.

I said this before, but CVC is fun as fuck. I love how sleazy he is, and I foresee him being a solid DEFIANT for a long while.

(The term used in conjunction with ejaculation is typically "skeet", not "ski".)

Anyway. The match was fun, if a little short. Then again, I have the opposite problem and can't ever go the proper length for matches. I always go too long, like in the Tom/Python match that happened next. I don't really have anything to say one way or another about the match.

Psyching Up:
James did good stuff with this segment with me. I've got something to pay off in a roleplay this RP period from this segment, but other than that, it was fun.

Hey everybody else: Do you know why Tom was all over this show?

Because I write the segments and then get other people to fix/edit/add more to their parts. So, do you know how you can be all over the show?

Write segments and get other people to fix/edit/add more to their parts. If you want to end up being someone in multiple places on the show and get more face time(Which usually leads to better angles and more fun being had), you should write more segments. Just watch old wrestling and steal ideas, or come up with cool interactions between someone else on the card.

"Oh, know what a cool conflict might be? If CVC and Bronson Box accidentally meet one another in the bathroom. CVC makes a dick joke about Box, Box gets pissed, stuff happens."

"Oh, know what'd be fun? If Jane Katze and Sam Turner meet up at the food table backstage and have some words."

"Know what'd be cool? Light and Tucker meeting up and Tucker trying to get some "How to be a success" advice, while Light continues to be grumbly and pissy."

All of those came about by me thinking "Who is two people on the roster. What could happen at a live TV taping." Done. Bam. Do it. Srsly. We don't need 87 segments, but I WOULD love to see more segments with more people. I've already suggested some stuff to some of you, but I'd love to see stuff happening independently of me.

Python/Tom:
Nice work on the prematch seg. I quite enjoyed that, and it all rolled together to make the match I wanted to write happen. To be honest, I had this planned since before Untouchable. After the PPV went off the way I wanted my stuff to happen, I tried to make this be a refreshing night for Tom, where he doesn't just get his shit beaten down and everything be all doom and gloom. I'm glad it all came off so well.

Kai Scott's Backstage Interview:

I'm a huge Kai Scott mark. And I hope to see Kai and Claira NOT cross paths for a bit. Claira should be doing some cool stuff with Tres Brujas(And I hope Diane Parker gets some singles matches, because her ring music is the best in DEFIANCE. Sorry George, I love Screamin' Jay, but I am such a Dio mark.) and the Trios div, which I hope we can get some good oomph behind.

Anyway. Kai Scott rules and as was said before, him getting time to shine without being tied so closely to Jeff is gonna be sweet. I fuckin' love Scott and how Lee handles him, I love how he comes off in promoes and segments. I hope this whole cycle can be a big Kai Scott Establishing cycle, because I'd love for him to get to a Box level.

UTs/Brujas:
The way Heidi and Ronnie were handled in this match was really cool. Long finally giving up on just trying to be there for his friends was solid. There's only so much a man can swallow before giving the fuck up, right?

Also: Brujas is misspelled in the team headshot logo thing. It's not BRJUAS.

Heidi storming off was really good. Her frustration was palpable, and I hope what we do next show in regards to her will continue this angle in a good way.

Not to insult Dentari, but I'd love to see the Brujas win the tag straps when they get their shot. That team is fun and could use the legitimizing win.

PROMO
Hell of a title, mang.

I'll admit. I was a Dan Ryan hater. I didn't like him at first, and I felt like he was some outsider being brought into DEFIANCE and getting a Goldberg push where he kills some people dead and just acts like a badass. But since he's put in the time and really spent some effort here, I've come around. The backround roleplays done to make Ryan feel more like an actual person helped a lot. So, leading into this match, I've been enjoying Ryan's stuff more.

Also, that last line was really, really good.

I shudder to think of how the eventual Tom/Dan match is gonna go.

MAIN EVENT:
X6nDb1K.jpg

FV50tv5.gif

The Ryan/Box match was pretty tight. Good shit, Ryan got a major fuckin' rub against one of DEFIANCE's toughest names in a hell of a match. I would have preferred if it went longer and both guys got more time to be Hard as Fuck, but it makes sense not to blow the load on the epic confrontation just now.

But when it turned into a schmozz, that was pretty rad.

But when it turned into a massive tag match... That's when my dick got ultra hard. That was amazing. Justin said at some point in the AIM chat "We're working on the main event" and I was like "I DON'T CARE IF I'M NOT IN IT" and Justin was like "you are", I about came out of amazement and glee. I had known NOTHING about this, and it was so mindblowingly cool.

That said. We shouldn't do this every week.

But fuck, real wrestling does this. DEFIANCE does real wrestling's shit better most of the time. So this was so ubercool it's not even funny. When I was reading the match, I was like "Yeah, Ryan/Box is cool, but I wanna see who wins" and skipped down a bit and saw that Tom was starting off an 8-man tag against Box and I was like "OH MY FUCK THAT IS AMAZING" and went back to reread carefully because I NEEDED to know how it got set up.

I've wanted to get Tom and Box to fight for so long, and getting to see them do it, AND HAVING TOM GET SOME UBER-FACE TIME was so magical. It was like eating Unicorn-Os. That whole thing was just severely cool and set the precedent for this next cycle, running up to Unnamed Payperview(Hey guys who are better with names: Get on that), that anything can happen, and you should buckle your fuckin' seatbelts...

Yes. Hell yes. All of the yes.

Show was top tier. Opening segment was awesome and very well written. Python vs. Box? White vs. Ryan? Sawyer vs. Dentari? Etc. Fucking Awesome matches and that’s not even all of them. Scott vs. Light, I mean goddamn that’s what I’m talking about. CCJ is the man and he keeps proving that week after week but what a target he’s got on his back right now. What a strong opening to the show.

Stratton had some funny fucking spots in his match that really stuck out. Solid win for Seth.

Heidi using my car as a weapon was pretty awesome. I thought that shit was funny as fuck but I held out hope that Tom would endure this show and he did just that. Greer & Lights back and forth I found interesting also. Like Greg said about himself is also true with me about becoming more familiar with all the DEF characters. To me both Light and Greer are top guys. Greer agreeing to pay all his road expenses was Clever. I liked it. Another example of this is Dewey, and I’ve found myself rooting for him and he wins. Great showing bro.

Sawyer EVEERRRYWHERE! Gotta love Tom Fucking Sawyer. I do and if you don’t, fuck you. Dane giving him that contract really showed his worth. Also means he can pay for that car. LOL.(And Kevin I'm a big fan of "Get Low" to the wall! Till Sweat drop down and fall. I always figured he said Aw Ski rather than Aw Skeet in the song. I figured wrong, lol just winged it).

As for my segment I wanted you all to know I read the guidelines and that’s my bad for not having my shit together. I got it all straight and I really hope you guys liked my shit. I had a rough week that week writing, I had a bad case of writers block I managed to bust through later in the rp period.

The four-way for the title was epic. The match was written very well throughout. They really came after me and that’s what it’s all about. I had a ton of fun and thank all three of you. I really enjoyed writing those rp’s and it’s cool as fuck to see they were received well. I appreciate the positive feedback.

Python and Sawyer were both great. Segments leading into the match were solid and the crowd reaction throughout the match was pretty cool. “Thank You Both!” The match was written really well and had that big fight feel to it.

The trios match was brilliant. Kudos on that match, it was flawless and I took notes where I have been writing trios matches here lately. I can’t wait to see what direction the angle with the Untouchables takes on down the road with Jeff’s current absence.

This show did not disappoint what so ever and the Main Events only prove that point. Dan Ryan is awesome, just saying. All hell broke loose and a broken match turns to 8 man tag? Fuck Yeah. That eight man tag was a PPV match honestly. Surprise Main Events are the shit and DEF pulls them off seamlessly. Python is Main Event! Keep up the great work Greg, fucking awesome. What a great showing for this show, you all did a great job and so much working together on this card and it really shows. Keep up the great work and the only problem I had with the entire card truthfully and honestly was the match I wrote. I wish I had made it a tad longer. You could not ask for a better show coming off a great PPV. We are fucking rocking and rolling. I can’t wait to see these angles further and can’t fucking wait for the next show!

That's all I got, you all fucking Rock.

The Gold Standard
Fantastic opening segment. Everyone got time, everyone got their characters across. Whomever edited and did the narration, excellent job. Can't wait to RP against Python. I swear to God I didn't read the opening seg before I had Python and Box square off in the main event. Just happy coincidence. I like the spread of the qualifier matches, lots of room for interweaving current angles and shit. Champ sounded like the champ.

Hey, who was it the won the first Ladder War? Oh yeah, that's right the guy Ed White mentioned stabbed him in the kidney...

*puts on war paint*

Seth Stratton vs Buffalo Brian Slater
Good use of a non player character to give a great character a boost. Stratton is good stuff.

WHY NOT MORE FEIT
Great brawl but also a good informative segment. We see inside Dane's head a little bit, having not shit canned The Untouchables, that he does value these sociopaths as performers. Even Heidi. Good shit. Sawyer is the definition of an underdog. WWE could take lessons from Kevin on how to book a plucky little dude. (see: please God let Generico become the Tom Sawyer of Monday Night Raw)

What is your problem?
I like Ty and Steve having out in the back like Ron Simmons and Bradshaw playing cards. Nice touch. Also love the references to old WfWA stuff. Continuity rules. Short, simple and effective use of Greer and Walker.

Eugene Dewey vs Jeremy Knyte
Well written match. Looooooorve Eugene. Always. Forever. Want more.

Office Time
The father figure of DEFIANCE shakes the hand of one of his most dedicated disciples. Cain and Able, folks, Cain and Able.

Face Value
Ass and titties, ass ass and titties. Chance is gross and absolutely awesome. Keep doin' your thing broham. You're going to get told to tone down the over the top cum/dick/pussy references. Don't ever do that.

The opening segment was great, it would have been nice to have everyone in it at the same time so that we could bounce some ideas around, but I’m glad that not much was changed from what I stuck in there. I’m not sure the whole Eric Dane not being able to get a word in was necessarily by design, but it worked really, really well. Can’t wait to take this forward.

I LOVE Seth Stratton, and it’s great to see Max back. I hope he sticks around for a long, long time.

Heidi as a super bitch is fucking awesome. I don’t quite see why Dane would threaten Tom in the same way as Heidi, but hey, it’s no big deal. It’ll be interesting to see what this beat down does to Tom later in the show.

Already enjoying Greer and Walker. Light’s already been in the ring, so I don’t get why he’s just turning up with a bag, but I’ll pretend this was ‘recorded earlier’. One thing Defiance does and does well is reference things that happened in the past. And I’m not talking about three months ago. When something from 13 years ago is brought up it really shows the backstory a lot of the characters have here and how they intertwine.

Some damn funny lines in the Dewey/Knyte match. It’s a shame Knyte didn’t show, but I’m more than happy with what I put out with Eugene [strike]last week[/strike]. I’m glad the writer didn’t do too much too soon with the new move set as well. That’s something that I’d really like to start to come together over a few match, although nobody besides me knew that before now.

It’s a shame Tom isn’t selling his ‘injuries’ a little more. I’d have liked to have seen a line like “If you ask me, he looks pretty beaten up, but he insists he can go”. I mean, I know Tom’s a fighter, but he did go through a car window. Tom does deserve a pay rise, but I hope this isn’t signalling an end to the Heidi/Sawyer feud…

Very surprised the formatting hasn’t been fixed yet, but it’s no big deal. CVC is the least likeable character in e-fedding, and that’s not a bad thing. I root for the character I like, even when they’re supposed to be the heel. Bronson Box? Love him. Untouchables? Love them. CVC? Hate him. I want to see him lose every match because of how crude and disgusting he is. And you know what? That’s what a Heel should be. Not the crude and disgusting part, but the lose every match part. You shouldn’t want to cheer for the bad guy, you should want to boo him. As an after thought, I’m glad I read this at home. I’m sure my boss wouldn’t have enjoyed seeing that .gif.

A solid three way match and a good win for the Philosopher Kings. Really want to see where MSX go with the dissention in the ranks.

Bitches be getting’ jobs all over the shop today!

The four way match was solid. Never felt lost, never missed someone out. A great win for CVC over some tough competition.

Tom asking for the autograph is always something I somehow forget. The kid’s a wrestling fan at heart. Not just a wrestler.

I Like Python. Put that on a shirt, it will sell.

ON MAN A FUCKING DRAW? THIS ISN’T WHAT I EWRESTLE FOR! THIS ISN’T WHAT I FUCKING PAY FOR. THIS ISN’T WORTH MY TIME. THESE GUYS GOT SHIT ON FROM THE OPENING BELL. BOTH LOOKED WEAK. BOTH SUCKED THE BIG ONE. THESE GUYS DESERVED MORE. AND HAVING IT GO TO A DRAW TWICE? OMFGGGGGGGGG!

Alternatively, I’m sure you know my feelings on draw finishes, and this one deserved it for just that reason. Brilliantly written, although executed fairly obviously with the announcement of the minute remaining. The second draw though, didn’t see that coming.

Dissention in the Untouchables? Say it ain’t so.

Great trios match with an ending that might have been unexpected were it not for tonight’s segments.

I am not looking forward to defending the belts against Lee. That is all.

Dan Ryan = Money.

I cannot praise Evan enough for the main event. I cannot suck anyone else’s balls as much as Kevin has. Anything I could say has already been said.

I was going to make a Tag Team Teddy joke, but everyone seems to have beaten me to it playa!

Final Thoughts:

BIG night for Python, Significant night for The Untouchables, and as usual a great night for Defiance.

Can’t wait for 37. It should be another barn burner indeed.

Quick two notes from me on my screw-ups:

I forgot to format my first seg, even though I'd formatted the other one in the office with Dane. I think I was trying to get it in after Justin gave me the "Um, that seg you've been writing for the show that was going to be up last week? NOW!" Facebook message. My bad, guys.

And Damien, yeah, that was my bad on Light just showing up. I am HUGE on continuity and such and I hadn't checked with anyone to see if Light was already on the show, I just kind of went rogue with that seg, hence it not flowing correctly. But your "earlier" retcon works, so let's just say that. :)
