Steve
the EX-QUEEN of FW~!
Gold Rush. Yes. I remember now.
Thanks to everyone who has asked about ANNIVERSARY's status. I'm sure Chad would
rather people ask when it was going to be done, than not ask at all.
The effort all of you (well sans Lindsay) put into the match was awesome. It's one
of the biggest, if not the biggest 'event' or individually rp'd match I've ever seen on fw.com. It exceeded our own expectations. As such, Gold Rush is deserving of a high-quality, MOTY canadiate write-up. It's a one show PPV, it's the CSWA's flag bearing PPV, and at this point in time with the league and where we're at in our lives, it could be the CSWA's last show.
Meaning, we're not planning on farming most of the writing off just to get it done.
We want this to be primarily written by myself, Chad, and Pete. Pete was ready to get writing 6 weeks ago, but as usual we weren't.
This is a hobby. I'm 32, Chad's soon to be 31. The days when every day had to include
fantasy wrestling are over. Nobody here is trotting out the "real life" card to pretend that everybody board wide doesn't have one. I think Sean Edmounds is going to law school, right? That he can do anything involving fw is pretty remarkable.
Chad and I both still love this hobby. But maybe we're not talented enough to juggle what's going on away from fw.com and the CSWA equally. Mr. Merritt (or Uncle Chad to you younger kids) has been traveling quite a bit of late, and taking week long vacations to the beach. Ordinarily I could have banged out a good deal of this card. But against all odds, since the middle of August my life has gotten fairly busy as well. I haven't really found the time/motivation to do anything regarding NFW, or my other fw funhouses. I'm starting to get used to the cards i'm juggling so I expect in the near future writing will begin on Gold Rush.
Chad, well. How much writing has he really done on any card of late?
We realize the card is late. We realize many of you were excited and hoping to see a quick return. All I can say is we're going to try and do our best to present a show that is worthy of the time YOU put in, and the time that everyone has waited for the show to be posted. Hopefully when all is said and done you'll be able to look back at Gold Rush and ANNIVERSARY and say, "that was one of the betterexperiences and matches of my fantasy wrestling year."
For those of you who don't find the above answer comforting. Try this. The man spends a thousand bucks a year to keep this site running. You want faster turn arounds? Shell out.
We hope to have it up as soon as possible. Have a nice day.
