Gold Rush. Yes. I remember now.

Thanks to everyone who has asked about ANNIVERSARY's status. I'm sure Chad would
rather people ask when it was going to be done, than not ask at all.

The effort all of you (well sans Lindsay) put into the match was awesome. It's one
of the biggest, if not the biggest 'event' or individually rp'd match I've ever seen on fw.com. It exceeded our own expectations. As such, Gold Rush is deserving of a high-quality, MOTY canadiate write-up. It's a one show PPV, it's the CSWA's flag bearing PPV, and at this point in time with the league and where we're at in our lives, it could be the CSWA's last show.

Meaning, we're not planning on farming most of the writing off just to get it done.

We want this to be primarily written by myself, Chad, and Pete. Pete was ready to get writing 6 weeks ago, but as usual we weren't.

This is a hobby. I'm 32, Chad's soon to be 31. The days when every day had to include
fantasy wrestling are over. Nobody here is trotting out the "real life" card to pretend that everybody board wide doesn't have one. I think Sean Edmounds is going to law school, right? That he can do anything involving fw is pretty remarkable.

Chad and I both still love this hobby. But maybe we're not talented enough to juggle what's going on away from fw.com and the CSWA equally. Mr. Merritt (or Uncle Chad to you younger kids) has been traveling quite a bit of late, and taking week long vacations to the beach. Ordinarily I could have banged out a good deal of this card. But against all odds, since the middle of August my life has gotten fairly busy as well. I haven't really found the time/motivation to do anything regarding NFW, or my other fw funhouses. I'm starting to get used to the cards i'm juggling so I expect in the near future writing will begin on Gold Rush.

Chad, well. How much writing has he really done on any card of late?

We realize the card is late. We realize many of you were excited and hoping to see a quick return. All I can say is we're going to try and do our best to present a show that is worthy of the time YOU put in, and the time that everyone has waited for the show to be posted. Hopefully when all is said and done you'll be able to look back at Gold Rush and ANNIVERSARY and say, "that was one of the betterexperiences and matches of my fantasy wrestling year."

For those of you who don't find the above answer comforting. Try this. The man spends a thousand bucks a year to keep this site running. You want faster turn arounds? Shell out.

;)

We hope to have it up as soon as possible. Have a nice day.

But what about the children?

I was about to post something akin to this, but Steve has the better words.

But to add to it, something else should be kept in mind - even with three writers, Chad and Steve were planning on doing this themselves. They knew I was done with FW after NFW Season 2 is over and after I deal with the lunatic in the Asylum, and didn't bring the subject up until I said I wanted to be part of the match, too.

I'm reminded of something Chad said a while back during another delay of game - that the CSWA has standards of quality in the major events that supercede the ticking of a clock, or how many calendar pages flip. (okay, that was a paraphrase, but stay with me now.)

That's why the CSWA is still popular, I think. Sure, it might take a little longer to get the payoff, and Chad's job and Steve's international espionage make it even longer to wait, but the cards are *always* worth it.

Except the midgets. The midgets can die.

"I say f**k the children. That's right, f**k 'em."

Oh, and I like boobs.

That is all, carry on.

Thanks Eron and Pete. Mike you can go sit in the corner until you're needed.

It's annoying to have to wait for the cards. We know this. I want NFW and EPW cards to go up yesterday because i enjoy putting time and effort into the league. But, the reality for us is, we just can't move as fast as, well we never really have moved TOO fast.

We try to make it worth your time. And we'll do the same on GOLD RUSH. Rp HAS been judged. All three of us have kicked around booking ideas and have a couple that we're quite excited about.

Chad's schedule will lessen eventually and like I said, I'm close to the point of forcing my hands on the keyboard. So, the ball is moving. I promise.

Don't throw food on stage just yet. :)

Did you even need to say this? Sitting in the corner is what I usually do.

Just ask Lindz. The only way she knows I'm there is the smell of smoke and the gentle glow of my cigar as she dances a la Jamie Lee Curtis...

I'm thoroughly disturbed now.

For the record:

-Brunk took on ANOTHER job, and had a baby with his wife.

-Katz moved across the country, got a new job and apartment

Now those things take some time getting acclimated to...a month, maybe two.

In Steve's defense, there's a rumor he got laid by a woman or Siegel or both. In either case, I can see why it'd take months for anything to get done. Steve's still searching WebMD and Wikipedia for answers to many newfound questions he has to consider.

Actually I'm still pining for my lost youth when I wasn't one of the lucky few who were allowed to attend Jewish Summer Camps, and thus had to tap out to GUNS.

Are you trying to say if I was a southern methodist I'd have avoided the druids?

I knew it was something anti-semitic!

Chad hates Jews. Well known fact.

The wrong side of the bong slide.
I heard that Mel was drunk at a fundraiser one night, saw Ben Stein, and was so overwhelmed with rage that he ran over and belted the Clear Eyes spokesman in his Jewish marbles with such force that Stein puked up dollar bills all over Gibson's replica SS uniform.

Then Lindsay Lohan got into a catfight, and all attention was diverted.
