I want to preemptively apologize for some inconsistencies in the matches I wrote. The "European fans directly around the ring thing" never stuck in my head when I'd start writing, it only popped in there after I'd written like ten goddamn pages.

I fixed most of the barricade spots I'd written to involve fans enveloping guys or whatever...

lol, lets just never do the no barricade thing again. Shit is confusing. DEF brings barricades on every tour, I demand it.

Feedbacks forthcoming today at some point, busy day at work.

Also, just FYI we always post the show link in the public FWrestling forum to get more eyes on the product.

Initial Impressions.
Kind of hard to beat that Whirlwind of Awesome... between those FOUR GUYS. But I damned well will try with my angle partner next arc (and the arc after that possibly if my partner wants to keep things up). Consider the gauntlet thrown gentlemen! >:] Potential fueds between that whirlwind of amaze-balls is pretty good. Especially that tease at the end.

HAH! I beat motherfucking Evan to this!!!!!!!! HAHA

Bronson Box vs Eugene Dewey?

Seriously, I can't believe this was the first match to start things out with. I mean it's clearly an upper midcard match to begin with.

Claira St. Sure vs Seth Stratton

Pretty straightforward match. Not much to comment on here. I would've loved to see more offense from Stratton but that's neither here nor there.

Cash Money

I would've placed this segment on the last card, or somewhere innocous earlier in the arc where someone could forget it. Then refer back to it via announce team.

In which the DEFIANT Landscape Changes Drastically...

I've been waiting for this scene for quite sooooometime honestly. >:] I knew.

The End of You.

Cool hype. I think this should've gone somewhere earlier on the card placement wise and maybe cut a bit of it. Maybe have Mushigihara growl a threatening OSU!~ and have Eddie translate for the uneducated in how he speaks.

Troy Matthews vs Mushigihara

Straight forward match. I had a feeling who would win coming into this. I knew mostly because these were all your characters. I would love to see you work with someone putting together an awesome, and unpredictable volatile fued.

I feel like you need a feud. I'd love to personally see you go heel and throw your chips in the ring for the SoHer. With what's going on with the FIST title that might be a tall order. Because that shit seems pretty locked up tightly.

Poor useless fucktard

I wanted Booya's accent. More comments on this segment on the second one.

The Lion, The HOSS and the Swanky Wardrobe

A little bias, I loved the segment. >:) Loved the little nods to the match. Seth has an excellent build up here.

Henry Keyes vs Stockton Pyre vs Curtis Penn

I kind of had a feeling where this was going to go ---- pretty good promo though for the most part. I'd love to see more heels here.

Demanding competition

Very nice promo here. ;) Part of me actually wishes this was on the first Canada show though, to be honest.

Starstruck

I loooooooooved this one. Excellent work by James, Justin, and Mike. You really sold the characters well.

Team HOSS vs TexMex Holiday

No comment. I'll make some after everyone's finished reading this and hopefully pointing out awesome moments of the match that they loved.

Not So Fast, Champ

Heeey~! Wait a minute there champ!

Edward White vs. Frank Dylan James

This match was a long angle coming. It has a satisfying finish for us.

Heidi Christenson's goals make sense to her alone

Left me with more questions then answers. Not a *bad* thing perse. Because it makes me want to see what happens next. I'm still hungry for more TuT and UT shit. But then I had my chance at the UT.

I still don't have a 100% inkling of what Heidi meant here about destroying Kai if he didn't win. I'm not sure -- maybe it's just me. I needed a bone of some sort, I felt a little left out in the cold.

Dusty Griffith vs Alceo Dentari

A pretty good match. Unexpected evolution of the match. I loved it. It's a pretty solid line up.

This... Is FAR From Over.

I actually didn't expect this coming. I like the angle though, I felt like Alceo wasn't being utilized fully - not a *knock* against you Damien. The character is very solid and I could book angles and sell a solid feud with the character with practically anyone on the Roster. But I think this is a great team up. I appreciate teh Alceo Dentari character. Reminds me of an old character from the WfWA, Ricky Taverna - who happens to be one of my favorite heels, all time.

So to see Alceo being utilitized like this is awesome.

HE LIVES!

Consider me swerved. :( I was thinking something else. :)

Dan Ryan vs Eugene Dewey vs Bronson Box

Very awesome angle. Awesome booking. I liked the exchanged at the end between Bell and Ryan. It's going to be quite the clusterfuck moving forward. I'm not sure how you can simultaniously top this segment/finish while continuing on with your feuds solo. There are some interesting lineups here and I could see some interesting feud combinations. I think this is a great way to both blow off a feud and kickstart one.

I won't say it should be the template, because if we keep getting the same thing it'll bore us out. I'll add more to this but I think that we should find a way to connect our angles from the current arc to the next better. I know I'm going to have an odd transition.

Truly Untouchables vs Hookers ‘n Blow (ccc)

Lot's of jokes. :) Run, Bitch, RUUUUUN! Somehow that made me think of Dave Chapelle. Some how the whole Black Jesus bit reminds me of Scary Movie.

Passing of the Torch, so to speak...

I seriously hope people use Kelly Evans in their segments, not ALL segments mind. But in the WWE and most promotions whenever there's a change in managment, said managment has a hand in ALL the angles. It's also an overarching story that everyone can get involved with.

Heidi Christenson vs Kai Scott

Another well written match... I think that's a basic standard of our matches. I had a feeling about the outcome because of the buildup to the match.

Other Shit

Honestly I think what was executed well on the card was the cohesion between the major angles on the upper card. Hindsight is 20/20, but I didn't understand the buildup between the Boxer/Ryan/Dewey/et all shit until the final pay off sequence. And that's what made the final payoff greater. I like being surprised like this, I don't want to come to expect thing sort of thing from every single handler/character in the fed because that'll saturate things considerably.

We might need some more communication somehow between everyone and the BOSSes.

We had 3 trios matches, essentially on this card. I had something to do with one of them, mind, and I knew coming into this card in the back of my mind: "Two trios matches, heh, that might be a bit much for the gimmick/angle". It sort of goes to what Ken talked about last card about the whole communication bit. Our trios match had been planned since well before we knew we'd be in Germany. I think this is something we all need to work on communicating.

The match writing, I think we need to all take responsibility for submitting a match if you're booked in it. This isn't to say that you should ALL be writing the match, but everyone should know where the status of their matches are at. Our match had about 8-10 pages written on saturday in our document, and we had about 20 more pages to write. I didn't write those pages alone, neither did Ken or Seth. We wrote it together. We were a partnership. I think if you're involved in a feud, you should definitely try to create a feud/booking/angle doc. Everyone wants to look good, but you should also worry about making your feud partner look just as good, if not better then you.

And if you can find a satisfying payoff towards whatever end Justin/Jeff/Whoever directs you towards, I think it's that much more gratifying.

As for the segments, I think we did a decent job - mind, my group TexMex Holiday didn't have a segment. There wasn't much else we could stress. Do we tease the return? Ken and I decided not to, and to leave it so that the integrity of the story stays stronger.

I think we should all consider what aspects we think are cool, interesting about wrestling within the realm of Defiance and try to work towards having those moments. I dig obscure pop references (NBA Jam, James, NBA Jam.), and I love the surprise clusterfuck angle storm incoming. I can't predict where that storm will lead, but I think it'll be a satisfying watch/read.

I also think we need more heels in the SoHer division. We have nothing but fucking faces going after Curtis Penn. Which works for Penn, but it will make things troublesome for the faces involved trying to put on interesting stories.

I'm still slugging through this a second time...my first time impressions were that the show was very good with a couple of big surprises to prop it up. To really get a good handle on things I want to read it a second time

Solid opening, this little bit of the shows for the uninformed is WAY harder to write than you'd think. Damien gets total props for piecing this one together.

Angus-ism I like #1
Angus:
Honestly, this European leg of our World Tour has felt like World War Three on more than one occasion, I don’t think we could have picked a more fitting location to end our European run than the birthplace of World Wars one and two!

Bronson Box vs Eugene Dewey? (notice the question mark... its a seg)
I wrote this.

Claira St. Sure vs Seth Stratton
Good "bad ass reboot" match for Claira, reminds everyone she's a character to watch. I think there's major babyface potential in CSS after a few more vicious silent asskickings.

Cash Money
I wrote this.

THROWBACK, MIKE BELL! Welcome back to loving ewrestling my friend. Angled paradise. (PS USE GOGGLE DRIVE)

The End of You / Troy Matthews vs Mushigihara
Very good storytelling man. You have some STRONG characters here. Devil Red? Awesome. Find yourself someone for the next arc and tell a GOOD story with these characters and you'll be G2G.

Poor useless fucktard
Great character work, Heidi needs more segments like this. Booya is a spectacular big dumb asshole.

The Lion, The HOSS and the Swanky Wardrobe
I wish I'd fleshed out a manager character for Box as well as you've fleshed out yours man. Well written.

Henry Keyes vs Stockton Pyre vs Curtis Penn / Demanding competition
And the winner of best looking match header thanks to the kick ass new poser images goes to... heh. Honestly, good stuff. This has been more awesome use of the SoHer title this arc to both debut two solid new characters but also really truly establish Penn. Love Penn as SoHer champ a lot, he's such an asshole he's like a built in angle... just put a hungry new babyface in front of him and bam. Storyline opportunities.

Starstruck
Old school call backs, Dusty with stars in his eyes, GREAT seg. Establishes a fantastic connection between Griffith and Bell. The "good guy patrol" that's forming around Dusty, since it's more of a loosely affiliated stable than a true faction should be called something like The Griffith Family or something I think.

Team HOSS vs TexMex Holiday
Ten points for using the phrase "fast ball special" because I'm a 90's X-Men mark. Great match that sets Team HOSS up for big things to come.

Not So Fast, Champ
I also wrote this.

Edward White vs. Frank Dylan James
James and I tag teamed this together. TEAM WORK GAIS, LOOK!

Heidi Christenson's goals make sense to her alone
Love it...

Heidi:Do you know why I kicked you in the head back when the Untouchables split up?

Scott:
Because you’re batshit crazy.

... so much. The interplay between these three, Kai, Heidi and Claira is always killer.

Dusty Griffith vs Alceo Dentari / Crazy Mid Match Trios Match / This... Is FAR From Over

James straight up KILLIN' it for over 30 pages, three straight segments.

'Nuff said. Saw it come together in-doc. Amaze.

HE LIVES!
Super fun clab with Damiem, Brunk, whomever else poked at it. MOAR TEAMWORK!

Dan Ryan vs Eugene Dewey vs Bronson Box (c) / Post Match Saga
Good times. Having a cool faction was on my ewrestling bucket list.

*check, happy sigh*

Truly Untouchables vs Hookers ‘n Blow (ccc)
Wish there was a little more leadin' from the last segment seeing as it was cray-cray. Partly my fault for not checking the next entry in the backstage I guess.

Pretend that DEFshop commercial was REALLY long...

Good match that gives real legitimacy to H'n'B's reign. More title defenses per reign, always a good thing.

Passing of the Torch, so to speak...
I like Dane in the less seen, quieter puppet master/architect role.

Heidi Christenson vs Kai Scott (c)
I heard Lee was really down on this match. I think it's pretty damn good considering IRL stuff, time etc. It serves its purpose.

Lets get BOOKIN' on Canada guys, more organization, more communication.

Clear out old docs and un-share and/or delete docs that are out of date / useless now in Google Drive.
Keep shit organized, yo.

Bronson Box vs Eugene Dewey?
NO FIGHTING FROM THE WARGOD! NO>>> I DEMAND BLOOD! Maybe a spike.

Claira St. Sure vs Seth Stratton
Decent match to open the card with, CSS should either be running for the So Her or the Fist titles respectively. Seth should be in the So Her.

Cash Money
Dan Ryan bought his way back into Defiance… Where did he get the money for such an investment? Read the freakin card if you don’t know.

which the DEFIANT Landscape Changes Drastically...
MIKE BELL HAS RETURNED!!!! Huge pop.

The End of You.
Good lead in to the Matthews Mush match. Gives you the history.

Troy Matthews vs Mushigihara
Same here with these two characters, they’re being handled by the same guy who should be in the Southern heritage Document. PM me or Tone and we’ll get you added. I love the blood

Poor useless fucktard
Heidi being Heidi and sending the errand boy back to his owner.

The Lion, The HOSS and the Swanky Wardrobe
A promo reminding us of the arc so far, if you haven’t kept up this is what you need to read to catchup, that’s what I did.

Henry Keyes vs Stockton Pyre vs Curtis Penn
It took all three of us to get this match pulled together and submitted. Rusch and Brian did 99.9 percent of the work and by golly it turned out awesome.

Demanding competition
I couldn’t decide if I should place this on the Germany show or wait and have the first Canada show with three Peen segment and a match. So I stuck this one here, because out of the three it made more sense.

Starstruck
Very Glad to see Mike Bell back in the mix. Dusty and Mike together will be white fluffy bunnies and clouds of marshmellows.

Team HOSS vs TexMex Holiday
Love what Ken and Tone has done with this team. I need to read more on Team Hoss, I’m intrigued at their heelishness.

Not So Fast, Champ
The Wargod pops a vein in his forehead learning that Dan Ryan is in the building.

Edward White vs. Frank Dylan James
So FDJ is free of the evil Edward White, but is he really the winner here? Or did Edward White just lose some dead weight.

Heidi Christenson's goals make sense to her alone
Heidi lays down the rules to Kai Scott. He dies.

Dusty Griffith vs Alceo Dentari
Turned into a great three way!

This... Is FAR From Over.
Good follow up to the match above

HE LIVES!
And it’s not Jiles. But Eugene Dewey is close enough.

Dan Ryan vs Eugene Dewey vs Bronson Box
Awesome stable coming about. Awesome. And Dewey is the FIST!

Truly Untouchables vs Hookers ‘n Blow (ccc)
I love Hookers n Blow. This angle has given their title legitimacy.

Passing of the Torch, so to speak...
In the words of the boss, don’t fuck shit up.

Heidi Christenson vs Kai Scott
I’m such a big fan of Heidi was actually hoping that she’d murder Scott. But with her return happening mid-arc I figured Scott was going to retain.

Opening:

I wroted this. Now, you fucks better give me feed backs and shit on it if I'm to continue doing it.

Bronson box vs Eugene Dewey?:

Evan’s execution on this seg (and the others to come) was top notch this show. I also like thinking [datheavenlychoir.jpg] is going to catch on.

Claira at sure vs Seth Stratton:

A little one sided, but then with Max gone that's excusable. It really sucks that Max has bailed, because I had such fun working with him on the Dewey/Stratton feud. That whole thing came so naturally. Still, CSS with another win and a shot at the FIST. Her getting cheered reminds me of the crowd reactions for RVD during the invasion. He was the only one getting cheered when surrounded by heels.

Cash money:

I think we as handlers can be accused of being a little excited about what's going to happen, and we sometimes jump the gun and write things that spoil what's supposed to be a big reveal a little later. This segment could have been one of those things, but fortunately it wasn't... Much. i did take out something glaringly obvious that had been written but missed angus' last line of 'is he back in', which I don't think would be the conclusion someone would jump to unless they knew what the plans were. Just a simple 'wtf was that about' would have been better.

I'm not trying to pick a hole just for the sake of it though. I think there are plenty of people who do this, and it's something that we all need to work on.

In which the DEFIANT Landscape Changes Drastically…

I have no idea who Mike Bell is, he was way before my time. I'd like to know more about him, hopefully there's a segment or something later on that tells me who he is, why he's come back, and why exactly his arrival means, as the title suggests, a drastic change in the landscape of DEF.

The End Of You

This felt longer than it needed to be, but it was overall quite good. Some of the best work with Dante and Mushi that I’ve seen from Rob. I just wish he was a little more consistent with this type of writing.

Troy Matthews vs. Mushigihara:

It was blindingly (oh-ho!) obvious that something was going to happen to Mushi’s eyes when the fact that he wasn’t wearing a mask that covered his eyes was brought up over and over again.

This match/fight/brawl was very believable. A good battle between former partners, now enemies. The ending felt a little Hollywood though. I’d have rather seen Troy destroy Eddie’s leg in the fridge rather than his head, what with his leg supposedly being injured and all. Maybe give him a line on the next show of “Now you need that cane” or something. By crushing his head… isn’t that technically attempted murder?

Poor Useless Fucktard:

I swear Jonny wasn’t this dumb during his last run, but then I guess he had Kai Scott actively managing him to cover up that low IQ. I definitely like the character as a bumbling muscle man meathead.

The Lion, The HOSS and the Swanky Wardrobe:

The first line of this seg should have been caught in a proof read somewhere, what with a segment precluding it and a nonmatch right before that.

Seriously though, Aleczander’s British-isms are spot on. They’re not overused, and they’re definitely applied correctly. I popped in my own head when he said ‘tosser’.

Good seg, although I think I’d rather have seen Christie Zane in Warner’s role. She’s more the backstage interviewer than Lance is. I usually try to get Lance for what could be a news story, a sort of impromptu interview as opposed to a scheduled one, but that’s my only problem here.

Henry Keyes vs Stockton Pyre vs Curtis Penn

disgonbegud.gif

A good match with a decent ending. I not sure if I’d have booked Pyre tapping out or if I’d have had Penn capitalizing on either Pyre’s or Keyes’ respective finishers. That’s fit into the whole cheap shotting/fight dodging character.

The SoHer title has been well booked the arc with plenty of action around it and 2 hungry new faces chasing it. Penn is great with a belt and Jon has really hit his stride since picking it up. I want to see Penn continue on the path he’s taking, because it’s totally working right now.

I can see Penn eventually being able to brag about being the longest reigning SoHer champion, and that’s the sort of thing that would stick with him for a long time. It’d be something he’d reference long after losing the belt. That would be awesome.

Demanding Competiton

I think this should have been on the next show, or had Penn’s next challenger come out to challenge him, or both. The transition from the match was off with the positions of the wrestlers, and Keyes reaction went from seething to walking up the ramp not giving a shit he just lost his first shot at the title. Keyes and Pyre should have definitely featured in this seg, even if it was to run off Penn after he started running his mouth. Have Penn shouting at them “You lost your chance, give me someone new!” or something like that just to show this is wrapping up. Although it’s not really wrapping up, because Keyes and Pyre are still going to be gunning for the belt. Maybe “Get to the back of the line” or something.

Starstruck

This reminds me of a certain modern day warrior who used to mark out all the time, but I’m still not sure of who Mike Bell is. Maybe there’s more to come, maybe this show, maybe the next. Whenever it is I’ll be waiting.

Team HOSS vs. TexMex Holiday

A great match with a surprising ending, to me at least. I was expecting TMH to walk out with the win and have been for weeks, especially when Diego got taken out, it seemed inevitable that he’d be back and help TMH pick up the win. Kudos for doing something that I honestly never expected.

I’d be a huge advocate for Team HOSS to chase the titles now. Seth is fully deserving of it.

Not So Fast, Champ

Again, Evan right on point. See my earlier comments for some things that pertain to this seg.

Edward White vs. Frank Dylan James:

James is a beast. Seriosuly, the guy wrote three matches for this show, 2 trios and one singles. That’s an insane workload, even with splitting things up between writers. A good match that told the story of what’s been happening over the last few weeks since Dusty came back. It’s great to see Frank finally free, but this should only be the beginning of his problems with the Blood Diamonds.

Heidi Christenson's goals make sense to her alone

If this was supposed to explain why Kai Scott has been afraid of Heidi it failed. Kai just came across as clueless for the majority of this, and that goes completely against his persona of being the smartest guy on the roster. Heidi succeeds in coming across as a bad ass, but Kai just wasn’t doing it for me in this one. I hope there’s more, because if there isn’t then I must admit to feeling a little let down.

Don’t get me wrong, the exchange was fine, but it didn’t feel like Kai Scott on the other end of it if you know what I mean.

Dusty Griffith vs. Alceo Dentari:

I wrote the majority of the single action, James took care of the Trios part, and boy did he.

I’ve really enjoyed the slow build to really set what’s coming next off. I’m aware that Alceo and his boys have been a little inactive over the last arc, but believe me, that’s by design, not some overlook.

This... Is FAR From Over

I wroted the majority of this with help from James. Seriously. When efedding is this fun it’s just so easy.

He Lives:

I know who ya’ll were expecting.

Somebody praise me for my Euro Truck Simulator joke!

Dan Ryan vs. Eugene Dewey vs. Bronson Box:

I saw this match coming together, then I saw it stall, then I helped out, then Evan constructed my vision for an ending perfectly. See my comments in regards to fun related to ease again.

What’s coming next is going to be even more fun I feel.

Truely Untouchables vs. HnB:

Loved the attacks on Horry’s arm that stem from the assault on the last show, and I’m super glad that Sam was there at the start of the match. I was fully expecting for onlys Hookers ‘n’ to turn up to defend the titles.

H’n’B vs. Team HOSS would be one hell of a feud, trust me.

Passing of the Torch, So To Speak...:

I’m just going to reiterate my previous comment of hoping Canada doesn’t devolve into the inmates running the asylum again.

Heidi Christenson vs. Kai Scott:

I’m not sure why Lee would be down on this match, I thought it was pretty damn good. The ending was almost a ruiner before the match was restarted, but then we got the decisive victory that this needed.

There’s more story to be told here, but I imagine there’s a way down the road before Scott/Heidi is revisited. Either way, I look forward to it.

Other Stuff

Given our previous form, one day late isn’t bad. In fact, it’s still pretty damn good.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I have no idea where some things are going after this, and I really need to get with people. James, Evan, Brunk & Justin especially so we can finalise things. I believe plans that were put forward a couple of week ago have been trashed.

Someone please correct me if i’m wrong.

Also, and I don’t want to go running to the heat thread after posting this, I hate it when someone replies to a feedback thread with “This is a place holded”. It doesn’t matter whether you’re first, second, third, or last, just post your feedback. This isn't a race and these aren't youtube comments. Being first doesn't matter. Being good does.

Also, while we’re on the subject, summarising what happened in a segment isn’t very good feedback. I’ve done it in the past and I’ve really tried to get out of the habit of it. If you can’t think of anything to say about a segment, say that. Surely to idea of us writing is to provoke thought in the readers, and if that’s not happening for you, speak up.

I've slagged off pretty bad on feedback (or lack thereof) the last couple shows so I'm getting back on track with the feedback. Note: I did not intend for that to rhyme so take that for what it's worth.

We Defy

Angus:
Honestly, this European leg of our World Tour has felt like World War Three on more than one occasion, I don’t think we could have picked a more fitting location to end our European run than the birthplace of World Wars one and two!

You get bonus points for this, Damien, and nice job with the opening. Anyone who knows me knows that I <3 any little thing that gives the shows a little more authenticity like it's real. Nice work and I hope if this is regular for you, Damien, you keep doing these.

FIST Title match?

As soon as he didn't show, I guessed that somehow, we'd get a match for this coveted belt (more on that later). That having been said, Box's scathing promo was fucking awesome and I see why everybody else loves this guy (mind you, not that I haven't already.) I cannot express my love for Bronson Box enough and I would love to do a segment between the Blood Diamonds and Team HOSS just for the hell of it.

Claira St. Sure vs. Seth Stratton

Quick win for CSS, but a damn good one in the time allotted. Sorry to see the handler of Stratton disappear because the Wayne/Stratton relationship was damn fun to watch. But you make lemons out of lemonade and this did a good jobe of making St. Sure look like a fucking badass and another great challenger for the FIST title in an already stacked division.

Cash Money

Simple and effective, though as Damien pointed out you may be able to get an idea of what's about to happen later (or so you think). Again, more on that later.

which the DEFIANT Landscape Changes Drastically...

I cannot say that I am intimately familiar with the character so the impact of this is lost upon me unfortunately. That having been said, I laughed at Angus totally back-pedaling on the guy. Looking forward to seeing what the character brings to the table.

The End of You

I enjoyed this, clever recap of the goings-on of the Troy Matthews/Dante/Mushi story. I would almost like to see Eddie in a managerial role with Mushi in the singles ranks tearing shit up. The promo kind of reminded me of those awesome James Mitchell/Abyss promos when they were a thing.

Mushigihara vs. Troy Matthews

A really fun brawl despite the no contest. Real intrigued as to what this means for the Troy Matthews character going forward and I'm in agreement with others, MAtthews seems like he could thrive in the SoHer division.

Poor Useless Fucktard

I've loved Jonny Booya since the whole angle where he basically usurped the King of COOL of his daring shades and like him as the big meathead grunt. I liked Heidi as the completely SRS sarcastibitch and if this is her personality going forward, I will enjoy it. Good segment work here.

The Lion, The HOSS and the Swanky Wardrobe

Thanks for the kind words on this segment, folks, I had a lot of fun with this one. Also, thank you, Damien, for giving props on the Aleczander accent. I really picture him talking shit like Nigel McGuinness in my head.
SoHer Title: Penn (c) vs. Keyes vs. Pyre

Great match here and a fantastic arc for two brand new characters to DEFIANCE who came out of this smelling like roses. Both stocks have risen and Penn continues to look like such a bastard here. Eventually, he's going to have MORE enemies and get his fucking block knocked off which will be awesome to see. Whoever does end up taking the title is going to look awesome at this rate.

Demanding Competition

I will be honest here, this would've fit much better on the first Canada show as opposed to here. With everything these three have been through, I wouldn't buy for a second that they wouldn't drop this mofo for talking more shit. With that out of the way, though, this was a great segment.

Starstruck

The idea of a big straight-laced badass such as Dusty Griffith marking out like a total fanboy was pretty funny to me. This did a good job of telling us a little more about Mike Bell and already establishes a good connection here between Dusty and Bell. Nice work here, folks.

Team HOSS vs. TexMex Holiday
I won't comment on the match itself, but I cannot verbally suck off Ken and Anty more than I already have in the last two arcs. Shame that John up and vanished, but it was so much fun working with these two and all of our characters have come out looking like badasses. Thank you guys for making these two arcs as much fun as they've been. Take a bow.

Not So Fast, Champ

The thing I thought would happen IS the thing that happened! YAY! (Again, more on this later)

Edward White vs. Frank Dylan James

Well written match here and a great fight between these two guys who've hated each other for some time. I loved the little touch with Dusty Griffith coming out post-match as well.

Heidi Christenson's goals make sense to her alone

Well, the title pretty much said it all and came as advertised. I think I GET the threats towards the very end, but everything else in the segment was a nice recap of what seems to be a long-standing history with Kai Scott and Heidi. I loved the part with her speaking right to Claira and thinking that's going to be a badass moment when she breaks away from the pack.

Dusty Griffith vs. Alceo Dentari

Angus:
This could be very interesting, Keebs…

DDK:
Yes it could, you have the prototype of the heroic icons in Mike Bell and you have the new generation of heroes in Dusty Griffith and Sam Turner Jr.

Angus:
Nah, I mean, how is Mayberry going to wrestle if he’s tripping all over his tongue after freaking out like a girl at a Justin Bieber concert?

^ I hearted this exchange so much. The singles match turning into the trios match was not somethin gI expected, but something very welcomed at the same time. I would LOVE to see any variation of Dusty/Bell/STJ/FDJ be a force to be reckoned with in the Trios division. That having been said, I may selfishly like to have HOSS face a group of hosses that happen to be faces.

This... Is FAR From Over.

ALL RIGHT! Glad to see this isn't over! The match was pretty awesome to just nail down to one confrontation and I can't wait to see more of Dentari/Griffith. The LBC are so damn likable as villains, I heart these guys.

HE LIVES!

Yeah, not Jiles, but it was pretty damn entertaining anyway and now I'm really pulling for Eugene Dewey to be the one to dethrone Bronson Box. Money's in the chase. Learn a thing or two, WWE.

Dewey vs. Box vs Dan Ryan

YAY THE THING THAT I THOUGHT WOULD HAPPEN IS THE THING THAT HAP-WAIT, THE FUCK??? DAN RYAN AS A BLOOD DIAMOND? THE LBC? HOLY FUCK AMAZEBALLS THAT WAS GREAT.

...

I'm serious. 'Grats to Dewey on becoming the new FIST... then having fists (and boots and turnbuckles) rearrange your face. This ruled on so, so many levels and I look forward to the fallout and what this all means going forward.

TRIOS TITLE: HNB (c) vs The Truly Untouchables

First off, whoever wrote this line...

Angus:
NOOOO! Ty, if you can hear me on a monitor in the back, that tricky bitch and her two man-slaves are waiting for you!

I want to applaud you because this line seriously made soda come out of ny nose and I hate you for it. This match was great and my pick for funniest match of the night, by far. Great read all around, glad that HNB retains. I wonder what's next for Hookers N'Blow on the horizon...

*whistles innocently*

Passing of the Torch, so to speak...

Nicely done. I've really come around on the Kelly Evans character. Not that I ever had a problem with her, but she's come into her own quickly on this show as a decent authority figure.

WORLD TITLE: Kai Scott (c) vs. Heidi Christensen

I most definitely didn't see that ending coming with Kai winning clean as a sheet. Guy has been such a great bastard character hiding behind numbers and cheap shots effectively that it was kind of surprising, but cool to see he's a guy who CAN handle his business, he'd just rather not. But a great read nonetheless. Can't wait to see what's next for the champ and who's coming for him...

Probably a lot of people.

I'm actually kind of almost lost reading this show, because I kind of... didn't pay attention while I was inactive, so I missed a lot of the buildup. There's a lot of people I don't know and so I can't give constructive criticism on most of the segs.

So I'll just use the old feedback form.

Match of the Night: I usually prefer reading trios and multiperson matches to singles matches because there's more going on and sometimes I get bored with long matches that I'm not personally in (sorry). And I really can't decide whether I liked HNB vs the Truly Untouchables or Team HOSS vs TexMex Holiday best

Segment of the Night: Instead of picking one, I just want to go with the writing for the FIST Title match - all of it. Although Lee did a great job writing Heidi in his segs.

Surprise of the Night: Mike Bell returning. I had to ask Jeff who Mike Bell was, but it's still great to see a legend come back to the game.

Holy Shit Moment of the Night:
Eugene showing up for the FIST title match. I was sure he was going to, but it was awesome anyway. Oh, and Ryan joining the Blood Diamonds. I'm swerved.

Babyface of the Night: Obviously Eugene Dewey.

Heel of the Night: The Blood Diamonds if they can share the score, but individually, Kai Scott for managing to hold onto his belt again.

MVP of the Night (IC):
From what I understand, James wrote half the show.

Best Line of the Night:
Dusty marking out for Bell

What Ruled?: Everything.

What Sucked?: Um.... I think I read a match that kept switching from past tense to present tense, but when I looked I couldn't find it. Other than that, nothing.

Whatever Else You Can Think Of: I know that some of the stuff between Heidi and Kai Scott wasn't very clear. Some of it was based on things that happened back in Old Line Wrestling, and for another, I deliberately want Heidi's motivations to be unclear. You don't get over everything that was going wrong in her head before the I Quit Match with Dane just by taking a month or two off. Some of it might make sense by the end of the next arc, however...

Probably me (Dusty/Alceo, HNB/TUT, Frank/White), I have a bad habit (ignorance?) of doing that when I'm writing.

My feedback is forth coming, lady and gents.

I should also add Troy, that out of the three characters you showed us for your trios team. I really, *really* love Mushigihara the most. He says more for me in his Osu's then Troy Matthews or Eddie going off.

We Defy

Back when i ran my old fed [that shall reman nameless] I used to write this part. This bit here to me is very important. a way to reward the harder workers with puting them over and connect what happened past show(s) to this one. and make the results belivable. I really liked this opener. well done i even plaied the opener music on youtube while reading it. :)

Only 1 suggestion, the first time the anounce team speaks put there full name. I as a outsider, and those who wana join the fed would view it this way. have no clue who DDK and Angus are, but it is such a small tidbit. everything was well done and i can not complaine at all

And then when i get them done ill make a announce team graphic ... but thats a ways off hehe.

Bronson Box vs Eugene Dewey?

ahh look at those images. I live the way the Versus pic turned out. hehe BUt i would not have put the ? on there. only small thing i can point out. Rest comes off great. Save i though Box was a midgit. well he is like 5 foot somthing. and when i read it i think he is 6'3. Must be how ruthless he is in the ring.

I also would of slaped in deweys begining to his ring entrence. small thing though.. "PLAY THE FAT LITTLE HOBBIT’S MUSIC ONE MORE BLOODY TIME!" ROFL sorry can not be helped. i just hope DEF fans are smarter then those WWE ones and dont start chanting, Your a hobbit! at Dewey. and then Box is just great here. I get his point, but still want to see Dewey beat him though as he knows The Dew is not there.

Claira St. Sure vs Seth Stratton
A good match here. I like how just becouse Seth Stratton is getting injury leave / written off the shows. he still looks good and true to his character. leave the guy a chance to return if he is able. I give my props to you guys for that. Claira comes out looking good.. But i wonder is Wayne Dewey related to Eugene Dewey? and I fear that Box is going to hurt her if they fight.

Cash Money

I like this alot, only for one detail , i'll get to that in a bit. I liked to see Dan's presence intimidate the interviewer a bit more. but all in all intresting segment.... but... If Kelly Evans is here with all her lawers... then how does she...

In which the DEFIANT Landscape Changes Drastically...

Get out side that damn fast... She teleported? I can see how shes important to this segment. Maybe we should have cut to a commercial or moved this segment down a bit, or up a bit before the first match after Box left the ring... and then did the Cash money segment.

And she should of been a bit stressed over what happened in her office. unless that happened after... sigh.

other then that, a nice intro / re intro for Mike Bell, Though i would have cut to a video package after his arival explaning his history and lore and why angus was beating his head against the desk. Cause I have no clue to who he is right now, other then i need his poser info now [Joins Angus in beating head on desk]

The End of You

I am very glad i read this before i made Mushigihara look the same size as Diego! Eddie Dante! he needs to go manager for Mushi i now feel really bad for troy, this put Mushigihara over as a fin beast. well well writen. Dante for his manager though. oh wait he is his manager... well lol. And.. Man i was looking forward to doing green hair:( but now i have a starting point for the troy poser.:)
but yeah to many refrences to the eyes. we got the point in the segment before the match. Red mist though, was not expecting that, maybe salt or something.. and i would of used the guys leg, like stated. head. i get it, but, hope that dont come back to bite troy in the ass.

Poor useless fucktard

this segment is awesome... i can not wait to do Booya's poser, :) heidi scares me. she is alot like a old GF of mine... bitch tried to shoot me. :( and i sort of feel bad for Jonny here. very nice segment.

The Lion, The HOSS and the Swanky Wardrobe
from the writeing in the begining... maybe this one should of went before the one above. but with that said , i liked this i liked this alot, And i recon i sould redo Keeling to put him into a suit :( seems more apropiate. maybe miami vice style look. All in all I LOVE segments like this.

Henry Keyes vs Stockton Pyre vs Curtis Penn

okay... does angus hate good guys... or bad guys.. he hates Mike Bell.... and now hates Penn... me = confused. ugg i dont like when anouncers break kayfabe .. and use words heel and face :( other then that great match to bad some fans did not get crushed in the fight.

Demanding competition

Though i think we should have cut to a commercial and then come back to the ring here. or have had this at the begining of next show to set up any challanger for this, other then that i like the segment, gets Peens over as a heel and i like the name droping. i can see Penn moveing up the ranks after his stint here with the SHC.

and i wish the anounceres talked more about what he just said after he was done saying it.

Starstruck

This segment i really loved everything about it save one thing.

Dusty turns and gets up from his seat and is greeted by the sight of one of his biggest idols and for those who remember my roleplays from when I won Summer Games in 2008, is the man who inspired Dusty Griffith’s career in pro wrestling.

This kinda takes me out of my immersion, I actuley picture this in my head when im reading like im really watching the show. and the use of OOC verbage just is jaring. BUt the rest of it is solid.

Team HOSS vs TexMex Holiday

This match was aewsome. I actuley smiles and felt good inside when Diego came out for the save.

Junior Keeling: Hey! Lion-O! Quit the chitchat! You’re holding up the part where you get mashed and spread on toast!

DDK: I think that was borderline racist.

Angus: Hah, you said “border”. Who’s the racist now? Awesome i loved it. and team hoss for the win. I dont like the way it went down ... but they just made a mark for there selves here.

and everyone looked good though this match, though i recon Rix is off the show with injurys

Not So Fast, Champ
Nice one here. Im looking forward to the coming match. Pretty solid seg here.

Edward White vs. Frank Dylan James

I loved this match, and i loved how it ended. Good guys win. But I dont think this is the end of anything. I like this group that dusty is gathering around him. Im just gona start calling them the good ol boys. [fires up some waylon jennings ]

Heidi Christenson's goals make sense to her alone

I liked this segment. I recon the one who can turley confuse Scott is this crazy gal Heidi. and alot of history there.

Dusty Griffith vs Alceo Dentari

i like this one alot and i liked how it leads to the trios match. Happy to see Sam turner Jr. in action. Funny how after i made Dusty's poser i said these souther type guys whould get together, and now its happining. awesome

This... Is FAR From Over.

I loved this segment ALOT, but i feel that something should of came before it, as it is right after the big match. 1 or 2 segments here should of been here. In fact if i could of moved the Curtis Penn seg here and had it come after a commercial i would of done that. if it had to be done on this card. ... But other then that I loved this whole thing.

HE LIVES!

This segment was awesome. I think im a bigger Eugene fan now. Well plaied here. and leads right into the comeing match very nicley.

Dan Ryan vs Eugene Dewey vs Bronson Box

Wow just wow.. and looks like some battle lines for a BIG WAR have been drawn here. And i can not wait to see how this all goes down. Poor dewey!

Truly Untouchables vs Hookers ‘n Blow (ccc)

pretty good match here, more outside interfearance .. more chaos. but defently a good match.

Passing of the Torch, so to speak...

good and intresting. Wonder how this will pan out.

Heidi Christenson vs Kai Scott
pretty good solid match for the main event.

damn this was a long long show. Did i just go though a PPV? Good show. grats to all. but damn it was long. a few points on some very few minor things. but all in all great card.

Here are some of my thoughts.

Show opener was excellent. D did a great job at getting everyone over, and transitioned well into the first match(or lack there of)

I thought most, if not all the transitions were nicely done. Didn't once get lost while reading the card.

I concur about the length, this baby was a beast to read, then again it's a PPV so go big, right? For how long it was, and how smooth it read, that in itself is an accomplishment. Good work to everyone!

The Dewey/Box angle has been so good for so long, and it just keeps finding ways to get even more interesting. D and Evan kudos to a job well done. I'm also happy to see Eugene get some sort of recognition, ala FIST Champion.

The Blood Diamonds are the baddest dudes on the block. Period. No more discussion needed. Though I will say I was super shocked to see Dan Ryan join the hit crew. If this were an rp fed, that stable/murder's gauntlet would be fun to take a crack at. Great work to all parties regarding the Dewey/Box/Ryan angle. Had it all, and then some. Good luck going forward because it's going to hard to top.

I love meathead Jon Booya.

The Mike Bell reveal was nice. I can't say I've ever worked with him, though I've only heard good things about the character in the past. Good luck and have fun!

I think there was a much better understanding of Angus and Keebler in regard to actual commentary. No line really stood out as something that neither of them would say.

I like where Curtis Penn is going. Though if I may offer a small piece of advice to you Jon. I think you're missing opportunities to heel it up some. I see those blocks of dialogue, and think, he could over sell a shit-grin, or spit, or wave his arms at the crowd all laissez faire, or bounce off the ropes gloatingly because he's Curtis Penn and he's the best. Just a thought.

There's a missed space in the HOSS/TexMex match. Way to drop the ball guys. LAWL. Just kidding, but there is a missed space. I liked this match, entertaining throughout. I will admit, having not been close to the product for a little while, at the start of the match I was worried I was going to confuse who was on each team. Turns out that wasn't the case, good work. A tad lengthy, but trios elimination is going to be lengthy anyways.

Dentari/Dusty turned clusterfuck was to be expected. Impromptu madness strikes again. Good to see Mike Bell getting some action on his first night back. Another enjoyable trios clusterfuck to read. I like matches with a lot of characters in them. It always seems fresh when you're reading, esp. when compared to 1 v 1 of considerable length. Also, the seg after was fantastic.

Scott/Heidi. It all read great. The segs, the match... I just wish there was more of a build before it. Seems like the type of match that would deserve its own arc, you know, with the extensive history between the two characters going back to before the internet was conceived.

I'm still on the fence about the clean finish and sweet ending though. One, I can't remember a single Defiance show that has had an ending where nobody dies -- let alone a PPV. Two, I view Kai Scott and winning clean like mixing premium vodka with orange juice. Yeah, you could do it and it's going to be good, but why waste it? He's the Ace of Heels, I would think Kai Scott wouldn't even know how to win a match clean.

All in all, excellent PPV. Everyone who had at hand in it, job well done.

Damien rockin’ out with his cock out on the show open, good job dude.

Bronson Box vs Eugene Dewey?
SWERVE~!

Claira St. Sure vs Seth Stratton
Short and bitter-sweet win here for CSS. Mostly because Max quit on us *sadpanda*. OOC-ness aside, a clear message being relayed about Claira, which gets played up further later on.

Cash Money
In the immortal words of Randy Moss: “Straight Cash Homie”, Dan Ryan haz it just for such an occasion.

In which the DEFIANT Landscape Changes Drastically…
Mike Bell arrives, w00t. I liked what I wrote with this for the Angus lines, anybody who has been paying attention will pick up how it works out.

SIDEBAR: Okay, a slight whoopsidaisy with the placement. Kelly’s in the office, but then suddenly outside of the arena. DOH, my bad dudes.

The End of You + Troy Matthews vs Mushigihara
Troy not fuckin’ about anymore, no-sir-e-Rob, Troy’s not fuckin’ about at all. If this isn’t over (Mushi?), I look forward to whatever it is you got in mind coming up. If it is, I’m still intrigued by where you’re going and what you’re doing with this new Troy Matthews.

Poor useless fucktard
This segment and the follow up a little later down the line are outstanding writing by Lee, very well done. The segments with Jonny from the “go home” show and this one, he could be a heel all day and still be a semi-lovable goof because he’s still a bit dumber than the average bear.

The Lion, The HOSS and the Swanky Wardrobe
I dunno, this promo felt / read kind of awkward to me. I get the feeling there could be tension down the way between the two vets and the young punk with Junior having to smooth things over constantly.

Henry Keyes vs Stockton Pyre vs Curtis Penn ©
DOUBLE SLEEPER! Liked that you played up the comment about Angus having a camera to figure out the Bell Claps. It’s little details that like that can become throwaway nonsense, but actually end up adding something nifty when picked up again later in the match.

Demanding competition
Curtis Penn gonna Curtis Penn, the no good bastard of DEFIANCE (might be a new title?) calls out some new meat for him to chew on. I dig it.

Starstruck
Don’t care if this is used to rib Dusty, I had this idea, it turned out much more over the top than I had originally envisioned, but I like that it shows something different from Dusty. Plus, I wanted to further put Bell over as being a big deal.

Team HOSS vs TexMex Holiday
Anty was giving me periodical updates, he was motivated (inspired?) by what I was doing with some of the main events. Well, sir, you and Ken and Seth accomplished your mission, in my opinion. So well done, guys. Really well thought out and executed match.

Not So Fast, Champ
Kelly and Box make such natural opponents in these segments. There’s this one and then the one from several shows ago. It’s just an interesting read with those two on screen.

Edward White vs. Frank Dylan James
Evan and I went about half and half on this one. Took turns a few times to bang this one out.

Heidi Christenson's goals make sense to her alone
Like I said before, outstanding work on this segment. Some people have some criticisms and they are perhaps valid, but as I understand it the idea is that Kai Scott knows the depths of crazy that rages behind the eyes of that blond haired psycho. Whatever the case may be, I found it to be an entertaining read.

Dusty Griffith vs Alceo Dentari
Co-Wrote with Damien.

This... Is FAR From Over.
Damien and I brainstormed this, Damien wrote it.

HE LIVES! + Dan Ryan vs Eugene Dewey vs Bronson Box ©
Eugene’s balls dropped tonight, officially. I would comment more, but I knew the score of what was going down with this one. Outstanding writing, Evan, Damien and Brunk, you all done good, now it’s time get to DAT REEL WERK! (hah).

Truly Untouchables vs Hookers ‘n Blow (ccc)
Wrote this, hope I got it right.

Passing of the Torch, so to speak...
Hoo boy, now Kelly’s behind the wheel. She was a graduate of the Stephen Greer School of Driving, so this could be terrifying……..ly AWESOME! And considering some of the stuff I’ve been hearing as far as how they want to put the character to use, they get it, which is a nice thing to look forward to.

Heidi Christenson vs Kai Scott ©
Outstanding match. I really can’t say much, it’s just that good. Other than that, I honestly have no clue how you think you were anywhere close to failing on this match. It was the best match of the whole arc from a great match standpoint.

MATCH OF THE NIGHT
Lee has officially written the best match of the angled era. I have absolutely no idea if you hit the mark that you, Jeff and Renee had dreamed up over the last decade, but if you didn’t, you sure gave it one hell of a try. Very good job, well done, sir.

SEGMENT OF THE NIGHT
The Heidi / Kai backstage talk.

HERO OF THE NIGHT
Eugene Dewey.

HEEL OF THE NIGHT
Blood Diamonds.

WHAT ROCKED OF THE NIGHT
Gorram teamwork. People stepped up, people worked together, even if it was just looking in and letting them know they were on the right track. This is the way of the DEFIANCE world, teamwork first and foremost.

WHAT SUCKED OF THE NIGHT
Nothing, homie.

Also to Bubba.

Yeah, I probably shouldn't have kept that fourth wall breaking line about roleplays in 2008. I dunno why, just one of those things.

And the thing about Angus beating his head against the desk is that he hates the squeaky clean babyface types. Mike Bell is the godfather, the prototype if you will, that came before the likes of Christian Light, Tom Sawyer, Dusty Griffith, etc. Plus then Angus' bit about loving the guy is that Mike Bell took a crack at Kelly and "not taking orders from her", since Angus and Kelly at BEST are feuding siblings.

In any case. On to CANADA.

Oh and one other thing to anyone who hasn't posted feedback, though we still have time, Bubba, Renee and George have all done feedback. WHERE ARE THE REST OF YOU?

Think about this.

Three people who are not regulars (at the moment), one of whom who is graciously offering his services to us (not as a player), did feedback and there are still a handful of regulars who have yet to post. You've had plenty of time to read, digest, and consider the card.

Get on it.
