Re: Guerrilla Grindhouse World Tour 02 Feedback Thread
Match of the Night: The sequence of the Booth/Jiles match leading right into the tag match was pretty well done. Second goes to cVC/Dewey, which had a nice big-match feel to it.
Segment of the Night: Seth Stratton has Wayne Dewey as his new manager. Funny stuff here while making Stratton look even more like a bastard than he already has.
Surprise of the Night: Not knowing the Dusty Griffith character myself, the setup did a good job of explaining his importance.
Holy Shit Moment of the Night: The cVC slavery thing. I'm a stickler for all things reality as well… but that also having been said, I am morally bankrupt and found the setup of this funny in that "oh, the FUCK he didn't!" kind of way.
Babyface of the Night: Gonna split it up with "Cool" Cancer Jiles for continuing to rock it while even in defeat, Eugene Dewey comes off like a big-time character, which is pretty awesome. Love the character and the Dewey/Stratton feud is doing wonders.
Heel of the Night: Bronson Box gets it. The Blood Diamonds are a sweet stable and they mean bidness.
MVP of the Night (IC): Will once again give this to cVC. Since losing the SoHer Title, his stock has only risen in the company and gets everybody talking.
Best Line of the Night:
Eugene Dewey:
Sign up with you? Are you serious?
Wayne Dewey:
Hell yeah I am.
Eugene Dewey:
I’d rather play Superman 64.
Wayne Dewey:
Woah, don’t be so hasty, Euge.
What Ruled?
Some good stories advanced. The Box/Ryan feud continues to heat up nicely. cVC and Dewey look like big stars on the rise in their respective feuds and
What Sucked?
I wouldn't classify it as "sucking" wholeheartedly per se, but I would like to have seen more seg/mic time from some of the champions on this show given there are only four shows (plus supershow) to an arc, timing is crucial.
Whatever Else You Can Think Of:
As I said last week, I wouldn't exactly classify last week as an effort in futility, but there was some vast improvement in how this show came off.
One thing that I would like to actually as for is what people think of some of the Team HOSS/Diego/Holiday/Rix stuff. It is a simple build, but I'm curious to see what people think of some of the stuff so far.
