This seems a long time overdue, but there's no way I can delay this any longer...
I must take a hiatus from the world of e-wrestling. I really have zero time to work on anything, whether it be matches, booking, or even simply RPing. They all seem like a chore at this point in time with so much going on between work and school. And a month from yesterday, I'll be starting another job. That's going to put me at about anywhere from 50-80 hours a week with a possibility of even more, depending on the busy-ness state at job number 2.
My free time has become almost priceless this semester as I try to wind down from the combination of school and work that I've been trying to balance. And trying to actually run a fed while helping another write matches leaves me in a state of absolute dread whenever the time comes to do either.
It's not fair to me, and it's not fair to you guys as my competitors to continue running things with this stuff weighing on my mind. I've been struggling with this decision for some time, but I didn't want to let you guys down by taking a step back. However, I feel as though I've already done that. I believe that the storylines were becoming very generic due to a lack of energy and motivation. And again, that isn't fair to you guys.
Make no mistake though, I do not see this as a closure of UCW. I spoke with Mr. Scifo last night about what I was going to have to do. While it hurt for him to hear, he assured me that if his new job quest ever comes to a settlement that he's all for coming back to make sure that UCW becomes one of the best feds around again. His presence will greatly reduce the load off my shoulders and hopefully I'll be able to get back into this thing after the two job deal is over with.
So, for now, UCW will be put on hiatus until further notice. The same goes for any of my characters in any other feds, unless I have a storyline to finish out. After the storylines are done, I look to have a full amount of time off from the hobby until things calm down and I'm able to get over this spell of burn-out. As always, if you guys have any suggestions or comments about how we could possibly keep things going here, I'm more than willing to listen. If someone wants to take the reigns on an interim level, I have no problem.
But for now, UCW is officially on hiatus. I'm sorry for this discontinuity.
