Right. That is a clear gigantic difference and probably a bit of an exaggeration, but point taken. But in staying consistent with my character's style... if he thought a promo was weak (or even if he secretly didn't, but just wants to take a stab at his opponent about something), he's gonna say so how he's gonna say so, you know? If saying "promo" is ok and your character is less apt to flowery language and more so to straight shooting, then I don't agree that "your promo sucked" is a problem. But you're the boss and I respect your preference.
I'm just surprised this even came up because my use of the phrase "attempt at a promo" was a very tiny, insignificant part of a much longer sentence making a much more important point. It was written without a second thought and it certainly carried no implications about anything OOC. It was just a casual, in-character way of addressing an opponent's statement. So, like I said, I don't understand why it's a public cease and desist worthy issue, but it won't happen again.
