London Attacks

My sympathy to anyone who knows someone injured or killed in the events of this morning. It really does make you wonder what goes through the heads of those responsible. Things like this really do make me incredibley angry. They really are sick, cowardly bastards.

The contrast in atmosphere couldn't be more seperated with London winning the race to host the olympics yesterday... My dad works in central London, but thankfully he took a later train and was turned away before he got there.

Anybody living in the UK, please give some blood to help with this.

I saw it in the TV, but they didn't tell what really happened, I must have turned in too late. They was always taking about injured and killed people and the aftermath of all of this, but I couldn't grasp what exactly happeed, I only know it has something to do with trains and bombs. Anyone can tell me?

In TV all the people looked very calm down and not in panic or stuff like that. Injured people with blood and wounds in their face were giving interviews etc. Kinda displays the calm mentality of English people everyone talks about.

RIP to the few killed persons at this tragedy!

Basically there were bombs planted on trains at various underground stations, and set off this morning (Kings Cross, Liverpool Street and some others). Although it's yet to be proven if they were suicide bombers or not. There was also a bomb exploded on a bus in Russell Square.

Yeah, there isn't widespread panic amonst us, which is only a good thing.

It will be very interesting to see what happens on my journey to London on the 5th August, especially because we are coming on Allah's way. No, we are no terrorists, we are just a group of Muslims who want to meet our brothers at other places and learn our religion by spending 10 days in a mosque.

Nothing really new about today, except maybe the people who were doing the bombing for once might be non-Irish. Looking at the TV pictures there was nothing different to any of the IRA bombings of the last 30 years or so. I do have some minor sympathy with people who've had their lives disrupted because of the loss of loved ones or their own personal injury caused by the blasts, but I am also thankful that we, by and large, stayed as calm about this as normal. Although listening to US news items on this event you'd think we'd never been bombed before.

It's not all that surprising either that it happened today. 10000 police plus special branch up in Scotland? If this was anything it was to let us know we'd dropped our guard, and they only need us to do that once, whereas we need to stop them every single time.

Thank god I'm at work so the reaction stuff I get is limited to webpages, the BBC and some blogs.

I love the Brit attitude -- it's been sorta like "okay, you bombed us, and not very well compared to what others have done. Go **** off, tosser."
