MONGOL! derives a lot of its heritage, as far as wrestling style, from puroresu. Western wrestling does tend to have superstars, and many of these have longevity that allows brands to be built around them—Triple H, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Kurt Angle, Ric Flair. Puro has these sorts of stars as well, but the more common term for them are aces. Typically, they fill the same role that Austins and Flairs do: superstars around for a long time that can be depended on for good product and help to push a brand.

MONGOL!, however, will do things a bit differently. The Ace System in MONGOL! allows readers to have some influence on gets recognition. There are three aces and one top ace in MONGOL!. About once a tour, a poll will be put out of ten wrestlers: the three aces and seven others considered at the top of the crowd. The top three vote-getters will be the new aces. Once every two tours, a second poll will be put out, including the aces and the top ace: the top vote-getter in this poll will be the new top ace.

Aces aren't always champions, but are usually top contenders if they aren't. Becoming an ace makes one definitely someone to watch. Those who can sustain ace-hood for a long while are on the path to undeniable greatness.

“Come! Come into the ring! You're brave to risk yourself. Don't hope that I'll be easy.”

Rising KHAN came to be the top ace of MONGOL! through sheer viciousness in the ring coupled with his Mongolian heritage and patriotism. His fame was first achieved in Japan on the roster of Shogun Pro Wrestling. In Mongolian All-Pro Wrestling, he quickly distinguished himself as the heavyweight, gathering a group of patriots around him called the Loyal Hearts Club that have become great favorites with the Mongolian crowds. He holds the newly-rechristened Imperial Heavyweight Championship and represents an incredible challenge for any heavyweight trying to make waves in MONGOL!

“Dance! Dance! Shake your bawwwwwwdeeeeee!”

Dancing Man is a ShoPuro junior who delights audiences with his antics outside the ring and his exciting wrestling in it. His incredible versatility helps him win matches at the most unexpected junctures and makes him always someone to watch. His early feuds with Fryderyk Novo Pul and Mitsuharu Kisseki have kept the juniors division alive despite very few natives competing. He holds the Imperial Junior Heavyweight Championship and continues to captivate audiences every night with his brilliant wrestling.

“Have you got the sheer heavy metal POWAAAAAH!?”

Rock Terry is the top heel in MONGOL! because of his antagonizing of Rising KHAN with his American manners and dress. He styles himself the Heavy Metal King and went so far as to prove it in a grueling battle with Rising KHAN where he emerged the victor and Mongolian National Heavyweight Champion. His powerful style of wrestling, which he calls Heavy Metal Road, and condescending manner make him easy to dislike, but underestimating his ability would be a great misstep. He has met Rising KHAN in the ring more times than any other person and has scored a fair number of victories; he sees KHAN as his only rival and most would say this is the right way to look at things.

“Ring the bell.”

Anton Assault is the Great Foreign Terror, a menacing fighter despite his slight size for a heavyweight. He is incredibly fast and strong, felling his opponents in a style that definitely hearkens back to his mixed martial arts training. He leads the brutally efficient and fighting-oriented faction LIONS F.C. and embodies their principles wholly. He speaks very little, which adds to the malevolent aura that surrounds him. So far, he has only challenged for the Heavyweight Championship once, but his matches against others as well as his prior accomplishments in the West have made him (and the crimson-and-black LFC) instantly recognizable.
