As Black Dawn is now behind us...
Every so often we hold a tournament we call The King of the Cage. The first was a single elimination singles tournament, won by our current World Champion, "Triple X" Sean Stevens. The second was done in a tag team format and was won by the team of Marcus "Beast" Westcott and "Cocky" Craig Miles.
This year we will return to the singles format.
The King of the Cage rules are simple. All cage matches, pinfall or submission only. No DQ. You can win by escaping the cage, but must PIN OR SUBMIT a champion to win your opponent's belt.
More on that later...
The winner of the tournament wins an automatic shot at the EPW World Championship and/or a main event slot at Unleashed.
As a twist this year - since the current World Champion "Triple X" Sean Stevens is the defending King of the Cage, he will automatically be entered into the tournament to defend his crown.
In addition, as the World Champion... every match that Stevens competes in during the tournament will be for the EPW World Title.
Furthermore... if you enter and hold another title such as the Television or Intercontinental Titles... each match in this tournament for you will also be a title match.
So - there's a lot at stake here. You could win the tournament and earn a shot at the big belt - OR - if you are matched up with Stevens during the tournament, conceivably you could win the title outright. Also, if the other two singles champions enter, you could win those belts. Many possibilities.
IF YOU WANT TO BE IN THE TOURNAMENT - POST IN THIS THREAD YOUR INTENTIONS TO DO SO.
I will randomly draw names for the brackets on Friday. Tournament size will be determined by number of entrants. This is open to anyone on the roster, no exceptions.
