((The crowd murmurs at the down time between matches. A "show your t!ts" chant starts up, as "Wicker Man by Iron Maiden cues up. Generally, the crowd is pretty unsure of what to make of all this. But as the man walks down to the ring, the mixed reaction gets some heat behind it. At first, no one can recognize him. He dons black jeans, and a black GLCW T-shirt. The cameras don't pick up on his face until he's halfway down the ramp. The man wears a mischievous smirk as he walks nonchalantly to the ring, mic in hand. He climbs into the ring, stepping between the top and middle one, and makes his rounds. He seizes up the crowd, who are still unsure what to think of this man's re-emergence. His hair is still dark, now much more taken care of then in times previous. Cut short, and styled to the front. His face is cleanly shaven, his eyes having more life to them then last we saw. A definite sparkle to them. The smirk fades into a smile. An evil, devilish smile... but suddenly breaks into a full-fledged, bright toothy grin. A genuine, joyful smile..))
MAN: "Ladies and gentlemen, my name is Nemesis. (crowd gives a mixed reaction with a lot of heat) I know, I know, it's been a while. A long time in coming, too. And I have changed a lot since last any of you wrestling fans laid eyes on me. I've come a long way, and now I am back, just how am supposed to be. A lot has happened since I've been in the spotlight... and there's no need to fill you in on what I've been up to right now. I'm just here to let you know, Grand Rapids, and all of the GLCW fans from now and into the future... your man has come. No... I'm no Pandorian, nor do I have any beef with any. No, I'm not a decorated Olympic champion. No... I am nowhere near the biggest guy in this company. What I am... is one of you. On the sidelines these past few months, I have gotten to sit back, and actually watch wrestling as a fan. My mild stardom in feds like the IWF fell to the wayside quickly after I left that organization, due to personal issues. Those issues have since been resolved, and my life put right back on track."
((The crowd, still in a bit of confusion, doesn't pay much heed to the man. They give him pops for his mentions of Grand Rapids, and his confessions of being a fan.))
NEMESIS: "I know I've got a lot of past to deal with still, but I am here tonight to tell the world that the NEMESIS is BACK! (crowd pops at his name) The NEMESIS is back, and back to do what he does best, rectify the wrongs of the GLCW. Not wrongs like an undeserving champion carrying the title, not wrongs like a wrestler not getting paid enough money... the wrongs I've ALWAYS lived up to. From now on, matches will be played out in fair fashion. I know the GLCW's referee's know what they're doing, and I give them all the credit in the world. But uneven attacks and clusters will be brought to even more of a minimum. I will not stand by and watch the punks of this business try to bring it down with under-handed tricks and cheating. I am here for two reasons tonight, the first is why I am here, and the second what I intend to do here. I chose the GLCW simply because it is the best federation in existence today. There are so many men here I have not yet had the chance to face one-on-one, and now I will have the opportunity. The second reason is, I hunger for gold, and I can assure you, all of you here in Grand Rapids, and all of you watching at home, I will get gold here in GLCW... and I will get is soon. I will win my titles here fairly, and shall defend them justly as well. Get ready GLCW... because every match I'm in will be for one purpose, and that's to put on a show worth watching. A match worth paying for, and one anyone who watches won't soon forget. Thank you, and good night!"
((Nemesis hops out of the ring and walks up the ramp. He disappears behind the curtain.))
T.R.: "Can you believe that?! NEMESIS is the newest wrestler to join Great Lakes Championship Wrestling!"
R.W.: "Amazing, Tony! Nemesis is a VERY talented wrestler… The GLCW seems to get better and better every day … and Massive Assault just seems to be proving that."
T.R.: "But ladies and gentlemen we have our next match ready to go as Brian Lawler, who showed up on the Kalamazoo Riptide to aid Jean Rabesque, is set to face Nikolai Ash."
R.W.: "Ash has been successful here in the GLCW and has quickly moved into the top 10 in the rankings. He even was able to take Maelstrom to the limit and ended up with a countout victory over him in Toledo a few days ago!"
T.R.: "Let's take you to Matt Faley who will introduce the next match!"
((CUT-TO: Matt Faley in the ring.))
M.F.: "The next match is for one fall and has a TWENTY MINUTE TIME LIMIT!"
((CUE-UP: "Brushstroke: Walk in the Park" by Dredg. Nikolai Ash walks down to ringside.))
M.F.: "From Hartford, Connecticut. Weighing 220 pounds … NIKOLAI ASSSSSSSSSHHHHH!"
((The lights go out …))
T.R.: "What has happened? Ladies and gentlemen, please bear with us .. it seems as if our lights have gone out in the arena .. we should have them back up in a few…"
((The lights go back on, standing in the ring behind Nikolai Ash is Brian Lawler, with a big smile on his face.))
T.R.: "AND BRIAN LAWLER IS STANDING RIGHT BEHIND NIKOLAI ASH!!!"
((Lawler taps Ash on the shoulder, Ash turns around and meets a big right hook of Lawler.))
R.W.: "And the ref calls for the bell to be rung! Lawler surprised Nikolai Ash with that appearance and it looks like Lawler has the upperhand early on in this match."
T.R.: "Ash trying to crawl into the safety of the ropes but Brian Lawler has a hold of his leg … he pulls him into the center of the ring and smashes Ash's knee into the aprong. Lawler now drops to the mat and locks Ash's leg into some type of submission move."
R.W.: "But Ash quickly sits up and is smashing Lawler in the head with some lefts. But Lawler keeps a hold of Ash's leg. But Ash with a poke to the eye of Lawler and Lawler lets go quickly. Ash quickly up and goes to the second rope … Lawler up and Nikolai Ash hits a dropkick from the second rope."
T.R.: "Ash now drags Lawler to the ropes and chokes him. The ref gets to three. Ash against the opposite ropes, hops onto Lawler's back and chokes him so more. Nikolai Ash trying to keep Brian Lawler on the ground and nails a back suplex. Ash with the cover …. ONE … kickout by Brian Lawler."
R.W.: "Nikolai Ash goes behind Lawler and applies a back stretch submission move but Lawler won't submit. Ash sends Lawler into the corner, and Ash charges in!!! But LAWLER HOPS OVER HIM AND ASH GOES CRASHING INTO THE TURNBUCKLE!!! ROLL UP BY LAWLER … ONE … TW-KICKOUT."
T.R.: "Brian Lawler quickly back up, Ash charges at him with a clothesline but Lawler ducks, Ash against the ropes.. Lawler ducks his head and ASH GOES FLYING OVER THE TOP ROPE THANKS TO A BACK BODY DROP!!!"
R.W.: "And now Lawler goes to the outside! Ash starting to get up and Lawler is behind him.. he hooks him, GERMAN … no! Lawler went for a German Suplex but Ash hooked the leg and then hit him in the groin with his leg! Lawler is bent over.. Ash hooks him.. Snap suplex onto the floor!"
T.R.: "The ref is counting and Ash rolls into the ring to break up the count. And Ash stands inside as the ref continues to count Brian Lawler out!!!"
R.W.: "The ref is at 7 as Brian Lawler starts to move … and he rolls in at nine! Ash comes over and kicks Lawler in the stomach. Lawler on the ropes and the ref pushes Nikolai Ash back. Brian Lawler back up and waiting for the ref to get away from Nikolai Ash."
T.R.: "Lawler charges in but Ash counters with a drop toe hold and is now choking Brian Lawler. The ref makes him get off and now Ash is stomping a mudhole out of Lawler. Ash brings him up, and body slams him on to the mat. Ash with a pin attempt, ONE … TW-kickout."
R.W.: "Brian Lawler slowly up, and Ash with a dropkick to the knee.. Lawler back up, Ash tries to kick him in the knee, but Lawler grabs the leg… SHORT ARM CLOTHESLINE! And now Brian Lawler drops the leg on Nikolai Ash!!!"
T.R.: "He brings Ash up .. hooks the head.. D D T!! Brian Lawler climbs the top rope .. he's waiting for Nikolai Ash to get up .. Ash finally gets up... LAWLER OFF THE TOP …. But Nikolai Ash punches him in the gut and Lawler 180's onto his back!"
R.W.: "Nikolai Ash now on the offensive as he brings Brian Lawler to his feet. Hooks the arm and applies a reverse arm bar. And Brian Lawler is trying to fight the pain."
T.R.: "Lawler gets to the ropes but Ash will not release the move! So Lawler gets himself turned around and WALLOPS Ash in the head with a well placed fist!"
R.W.: "Right in the nose and Nikolai Ash stumbles back some … Brian Lawler against the ropes comes in with a running knee lift that sends Nikolai Ash to the mat. Lawler now applies a chinlock to Ash and Ash is squirming."
T.R.: "The ref asking Ash if he wants to give but Ash doesn't. Lawler continues to apply the pressure here but Nikolai Ash is not giving up, and finally Brian Lawler releases the hold."
R.W.: "Brian Lawler now looking at the fans and smiles …. He places Nikolai's head between his legs, I think he's going for the piledriver, Tony!"
T.R.: "He brings Ash up …. BUT ASH MANAGES TO LOCK BRIAN LAWLER's HEAD AND NAILS A SLOPPY HURRICANRANA!! I know the move is tough to do, especially coming out of a piledriver attempt! Brian Lawler didn't receive enough of a blow to keep him on the mat for too long as he's back up and heading towards Nikolai Ash."
R.W.: "But Ash ducks underneath a clothesline attempt and turns around … BUT DOESN'T ESCAPE THE SECOND!"
T.R.: "Brian Lawler with a quick cover … ONE … TWO … KICKOUT by Nikolai Ash!"
R.W.: "And Brian Lawler picks up Nikolai Ash…….. PILEDRIVER!!! Brian Lawler surprised Nikolai Ash by quickly picking him up and piledriving him into the mat!! And the fans are going crazy!"
((CUT-TO: Near the curtain. 'Stupendous' Stephen Morgan starts to jog down to ringside.))
T.R.: "What is Stephen Morgan doing down at ringside?! Nikolai Ash is out on the far corner of the mat and Brian Lawler has just turned around and sees Stephen Morgan!"
R.W.: "What's he doing? He just went over to Marissa DeJean, our ringside assistant and gave her a little peck on the cheek. And now he's walking back over to Brian Lawler who has his head peaking out of the ring jawing at Morgan!"
T.R.: "Nikolai Ash is starting to stir and is calling the ref over to help him up… the ref now bringing Ash to his feet….. OH MY GOD!!! STEPHEN MORGAN JUST NAILED BRIAN LAWLER WITH THE RING BELL HAMMER!!!!"
R.W.: "No wonder he went to give Marissa a kiss!!! He wanted to take the hammer with him!! Nikolai Ash has distracted the referee long enough for this despicable act to take place!! I cannot believe this!"
T.R.: "Nikolai Ash thanks the referee for his help and now notices that Brian Lawler is leaning on the ropes, knocked out thanks to that ring bell hammer and thanks to Stephen Morgan!!! Ash against the opposite ropes, and hops onto the back of Brian Lawler!!"
R.W.: "And now Nikolai Ash is thanking Stephen Morgan as Morgan starts to leave ringside. Ash puts his hands up, I think we're going to see Lexicon here tonight on Massive Assault!"
T.R.: "Ash picks up Brian Lawler…. Underhooks his arms… THERE IT IS … LEXICON!!! That double underhook powerbomb onto the knee of Nikolai Ash and Brian Lawler is hurting!!! Nikolai Ash with the pin …. ONE …… TWO …… THREE!!!!! Nikolai Ash has beaten Brian Lawler here tonight on MASSIVE ASSAULT!!!"
R.W.: "And Ash is up and celebrating! The ref raises his hand and Nikolai Ash is asking for the microphone!!"
((Ash bends outside the ropes and asks for the microphone, Matt Faley is hesitant to give him the microphone so Ash starts yelling at him.))
T.R.: "Matt Faley refusing to give Ash the microphone and Ash is starting to get irate."
R.W.: "But he should really watch whats happening in the ring, Tony! Brian Lawler is starting to stir and I think he's starting to boil as well!!!"
T.R.: "Brian Lawler on his knees and the ref telling him that he lost this match AND HE JERKS HIS HEAD OVER TOWARDS NIKOLAI ASH's DIRECTION!!! Brian Lawler slowly up to his feet as he starts walking over towards Nikolai Ash."
R.W.: "Ash stops yelling and his eyes widen as he realizes there is someone behind him… Ash slowly brings his body back to an upright position ….. and slowly turns around ….. AND BRIAN LAWLER KICKS HIM IN THE STOMACH ….. PILEDRIVER!!! Brian Lawler has just piledriven Nikolai Ash to get back at him for stealing a victory here tonight!"
T.R.: "Fans, Stephen Morgan helped Nikolai Ash here tonight on Massive Assault just steal, Rick like you said, the match from Brian Lawler!! And Brian Lawler has retaliated ….. we've got to go to a quick commercial break, but when we come back there is even MORE GLCW MASSIVE ASSAULT!!"
