[updated:LAST EDITED ON Jan-22-03 AT 00:06 AM (EST)](FADE-IN: Jean Rabesque's locker room. Jean is sitting on a bench with a towel over is head with his head down looking at the floor in deep thought, perhaps putting the importance of his next match in perspective. He stands up, takes the towel off his head, looks towards the sky and takes a deep breath and leaves the locker room. CUT-TO: Sean Edmunds putting on his white sequined robe and standing in front of a mirror. Edmunds doesn't seem to be admiring himself, but he looks more to be in deep thought looking inside himself to see if he is truly ready for tonight's challenge. He too takes a deep breath and walks away from the mirror. CUT-TO: Matt Faley standing at mid-ring)

MATT FALEY: "Ladies and gentlemen, our next match is an'I Quit' Match! In order to win, you must force your opponent to say 'I Quit'! There will be no disqualification, no countouts, and no pinfalls! First, coming to the ring," (CUE-UP: "Shapes of Things" by The Jeff Healy Band) "From Montreal, Quebec, weighing in at 245lbs., JEAN RABESQUE!!"

(The crowd roars as Rabesque walks down to the ring wearing blue trunks and black boots. He raises his arm as he walks looking out at the fans, clearly concerned about the match ahead. He climbs into the ring and mounts the second turnbuckle with both arms raised as he soaks up the cheers)

M.F.: "And his opponent," (CUE-UP: "Brain Stew" by Green Day) "From Boston, Massachusetts, weighing in at 228lbs., 'SIMPLY SENSATIONAL' SEAN EDMUNDS!!"

(The crowd erupts with boos as Edmunds walks slowly to the ring. Edmunds does not taunt the crowd as he usually does, rather he stays focused on the ring and Jean Rabesque the whole time, never taking his eyes off of him. He slowly climbs into the ring and waves Rabesque back. He removes his robe and hands it to the ring attendant as he again waves Rabesque back)

TONY ROSS: "Rick, what a huge match this is! An 'I Quit' Match is the ultimate test of manhood, and whoever says 'I Quit" has to live with that stigma for the rest of his career! This should be a barnburner!"

RICK WISEMAN: "These men are bitter rivals and I have to believe that a match like this will finally settle the score between these two, just like other scores have been settled tonight here at Massive Assault! This will not be for the faint of heart!"

T.R.: "Edmunds and Rabesque are in each other's face now, as they exchange pleasantries so to speak! Edmunds pushes Rabesque and Rabesque pushes back! Ohh!! Edmunds just spit in Rabesque's face in a total show of disrespect and Rabesque nails Edmunds with a huge right that sends Edmunds flying! Rabesque tries to stomp Edmunds but Edmunds rolls out of the ring as the fans voice their anger! Rabesque tries to reach over and grab Edmunds but he simply struts away and laughs!"

R.W.: "Rabesque has got to stay focused and not let his anger get the best of him here! Edmunds will do whatever he can to get Rabesque off his game and if that means stalling then thats what will happen!"

T.R.: "The crowd is really on Edmunds to get back in that ring and he rolls in and immediately yells for Rabesque to get back! Referee Al Marinaro holds Rabesque back, which is kind of odd since this is No DQ! Rabesque breaks free and charges Edmunds with huge lefts and rights! Edmunds is trapped in the corner and he tries to cover himself up to no avail! Rabesque is livid in there!! Ohhhh!! Edmunds with a nasty low blow and that stopped Rabesque's flurry right in its tracks!! Rabesque collapses to the mat in pain as Edmunds collects himself!"

R.W.: "Rabesque also needs to be aware that Edmunds will use any shortcut in the book to get himself out of trouble, as you just saw there!"

T.R.: "There you see Al Marinaro with the microphone that will be used to broadcast any mention of the words 'I Quit' in this match! So not only is there the embarassment of saying 'I Quit', but it will be broadcast across this arena and to all the people watching at home! Edmunds drags Rabesque to his feet and hits a forearm to the face and pushes him off the ropes and whips him in! Reverse elbow to the sturnum sends Rabesque to the mat! Edmunds stalks Rabesque and measures him for an elbowdrop to the face! Edmunds is in no hurry here as he wants to really wear Rabesque down!"

R.W.: "It certainly is a good idea to conserve energy in a match like this, to give you much more stamina later when its really needed. Edmunds has the right idea."

T.R.: "Edmunds is now rubbing Rabesque's face in the mat, grinding that nose and that could very easily create a bloody nose! Edmunds rams his face off the mat and then kicks him in the ribs! Something tells me we're not going to see a lot of wrestling here!"

R.W.: "And keep in mind that this is no disqualification so these guys can use weapons if necessary!"

T.R.: "That is very true! Edmunds pulls Rabesque up and whips him into the ropes! Edmunds misses a dropkick as Rabesque held the ropes! Rabesque grabs Edmunds as he was getting up and forearms him in the face and hits a scoop slam! Rabesque drops down and begins pounding away at the head of Edmunds! Edmunds tries to wiggle out of it and he gets near the ropes! Rabesque kicks him and Edmunds rolls off the apron and hits the floor! Rabesque follows him out and this could get ugly here! Rabesque grabs Edmunds and rams him face first into the steel post!! He does it again!! Three times!! Four times!! Edmunds collapses to the floor!! Rabesque looks to the crowd as they encourage him to do more damage!"

R.W.: "I think Edmunds is opened up from hitting the post, Tony! Yes, I can see it!"

T.R.: "Edmunds has a gash opened up from being rammed into the post, and Rabesque moves in like a shark smelling that blood! Rabesque pulls him up and what is he gonna do here!? A piledriver!!? He's going for a piledriver on the floor, and Edmunds may not even be conscious to say 'I Quit'!! No!! Edmunds blocks and flips him back and Rabesque's back smacks the concrete with a sickening thud!"

R.W.: "Rabesque went for it all there and it cost him as Edmunds still had his wits about him enough to block that move!"

T.R.: "Edmunds gets up and goes over to where his robe is, and he reaches into the pocket and pulls out what looks to be a roll of tape!! They had a brutal taped fist match in Toledo a couple weeks back and it looks like Edmunds wants to resurrect it! Edmunds begins wrapping the tape around his right fist! He goes over and grabs Rabesque and rams him into the post face first, returning the favor! Edmunds rolls Rabesque into the ring and gets on top of him! Edmunds begins pounding viciously on the face of Rabesque!! Blow after blow and Rabesque can't do anything about it! Edmunds finally lets off as Rabesque tries to cover himself up! Edmunds calls for Marinaro and the mic! He wants Rabesque to quit here!! Rabesque is now opened up from that vicious attack!!"

SEAN EDMUNDS: "That's it Jean!! That's it!! Give it up now!!"

JEAN RABESQUE: "NO!! NO!! NEVER!!"

T.R.: "Edmunds jacks him in the face several more times with the taped fist and Rabesque is becoming a bloody mess! Marinaro holds the mic again for Edmunds!"

S.E.: "Say it!! Quit you has-been!! Do yourself a favor before I cripple you!!"

J.R.: "NOOOOO!!!"

T.R.: "Edmunds hits him a few more times and gets up, his taped fist colored a crimson red!"

R.W.: "Rabesque is absorbing a lot of punishment here and is now bleeding profusely, and that is going to affect his energy level as well as his eyesight! He needs to do something here!"

T.R.: "Edmunds parades around the ring with his bloody fist raised in the air and he goes to kicks Rabesque but he rolls out of the way!! Rabesque dodges again and gets to his feet as Edmunds charges him!! They're tied up in the corner with Edmunds trying to deliver body shots but Rabesque axehandles him off and hits a huge kneelift!! Edmunds is stopped in his tracks!"

R.W.: "Edmunds is cut open as well but not as badly as Rabesque, and he needs to find a way to end this before he might lose to much blood himself!"

T.R.: "Rabesque attacks Edmunds with rights and lefts and sends him into the corner and Rabesque follows in with a shoulder ram! Rabesque throws Edmunds down to the mat and Rabesque mounts the second turnbuckle and comes right down with a big knee to Edmunds' back! Rabesque then hooks Edmunds in a camel clutch!! Rabesque rarely uses this move but Al Marinaro is right there asking if Edmunds wants to throw in the towel!"

AL MARINARO: "What do you say, Edmunds?"

S.E.: "Noooo!!! NOOOO!! AHHHHH!!!"

T.R.: "Rabesque has that camel clutch cinched in but Edmunds won't quit! Rabesque lets off and stomps on his back a few times! Rabesque pulls him up and hits a double underhook suplex and Edmunds rolls out of the ring to collect himself! Rabesque follows him out!! Edmunds stumbles around the ring as Rabesque follows him!! Edmunds grabs the ring steps and throws them at Rabesque but he is able to dodge it! Edmunds grabs the timekeepers bell and throws that too!! It just misses Rabesque!! Wow!!"

R.W.: "Grab anything not bolted down, Tony!!"

T.R.: "They're getting close to us as Rabesque charges Edmunds and shoves him into the timekeepers table! Edmunds goes back first into the edge of the table and that really has to smart! Rabesque tries to ram him again but Edmunds drills him with his taped fist as the blood continues to flow off of Rabesque! Edmunds kicks Rabesque in the shin, spins him around, and OHHH MYYY GOD!!! He just hit a Northern lights Suplex onto the timekeeper's table!! The table collapses in a heap as the people over there scramble!"

R.W.: "I believe Edmunds hurt himself on that one as well, Tony, because he isn't moving either! That is the price of performing a huge move like that onto a table!"

T.R.: "Both men lie in the wreckage wearing crimson masks! Edmunds stirs first and he calls Marinaro over with the mic! Edmunds rolls on top of Rabesque and begins pounding away again with his taped fist!! This is getting brutal! How can Rabesque take this! Marinaro holds the mic over them!!"

S.E.: "Give in, Jean!! It's over!! Think of your family and your career! Give it up!!"

J.E.: "Noooooo!!! Arrrggghhhhh!!! Nooooo!!"

T.R.: "Edmunds is right! Rabesque has to think about this, his family, his career, is it really worth it!? Will pride stop him from giving in and possibly preventing his career from ending!"

R.W.: "He has never submitted in his career, Tony, and I don't think he's about to, either! Look at this!"

T.R.: "Rabesque cracked off a piece of that table and just jabbed it into the arm of Edmunds!! Edmunds howls in pain and lets off!! Edmunds staggers back clutching his arm and in pain!! I don't believe this, Rabesque is getting up!! Rabesque is a bloody mess and he's able to get to his feet after that beating he took! What resolve! What intestinal fortitude! Rabesque has the look of the devil in his eyes as he stalks Edmunds with that broken piece of wood, and this is a scene right out of a horror movie!"

R.W.: "Rabesque is consumed by hatred right now, Tony! He's not thinking about his family or his career, he's thinking about one thing, and that is brutaliaing Sean Edmunds and making him say 'I Quit'!!"

T.R.: "The crowd is at a fever pitch as Rabesque reaches Edmunds and hits him in the back with that piece of wood!! Edmunds staggers around the corner of the ring and Rabesque hits him again! Rabesque rolls him into the ring! He pulls Edmunds up and he piledrives Edmunds!! Rabesque takes the jagged piece of wood and he gets on top of Edmunds!! The crowd is roaring in here, they are sensing the end coming!! Rabesque grabs the mic from Marinaro!! He drives the piece of wood into Edmunds' forehead while holding the mic with the other hand!!"

J.R.: "Say it Edmunds!! Say it!! Quit you son of a #####!!"

S.E.: "AHHHHHH!! AHHHHH!! Urrrghhh!! NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! NOOOOOOOO!!"

R.W.: "Edmunds is refusing to quit as well! What does it take to make these guys throw in the towel! This is barbaric, Tony!"

T.R.: "The fans are screaming for Edmunds to quit, I can barely hear him on the house mic!"

J.R.: "Damnit Edmunds...SAY IT!!! (he hits Edmunds with the mic) SAY IT!!"

S.E.: "NOOOOOO!!! AARRRGGGHHHHH!!! NOOOOOOO!!"

T.R.: "Rabesque is digging that piece of wood into Edmunds head and hitting him with the mic with the other hand!! Unreal!!"

J.R.: (hits Edmunds with the mic again) Quit Edmunds!! Quit damn you!!"

S.E.: "ARRRGGGHHHH!!! NOOOOOO!!! AHHHHHHHH!!!! ARRRGGGHHHH!! YEEESSSS!!! YESSSSS!! I QUIT!!! ARRRGGHHHH!!"

T.R.: "That's it!! Edmunds quits!! Edmunds quits!! Rabesque has won!! Unbelievable!! Listen to this crowd!! The Van Andle Arena is shaking!!"

R.W.: "Tony, I can't believe what we have seen here, as these two men became consumed by violence that I have never seen from them before! That just shows how important this match was and how much was on the line! But Jean Rabesque comes out on top!"

M.F.: "Ladies and gentlemen, the winner of the 'I Quit' Match....JEAN RABESQUE!!!"

T.R.: "Rabesque is barely able to get to his feet as he raises his arms in triumph as the fans respond in force! What a moment! Rabesque throws the piece of wood down onto Edmunds who is just a bloody pulp! Even though Rabesque won, you have to give a ton of credit to Edmunds for fighting as long as he did, and at one point, he almost had Rabesque quitting!"

R.W.: "He certainly did, I thought for sure that was it after he hit the northern lights suplex through the table, but Rabesque had just enough in his reserves to make a superhuman comeback and make Edmunds quit! Wow!"

T.R.: "Rabesque falls to his knees as he is handed a towel to wipe the blood from his face, and some EMTs are here to check on Edmunds, and he is definitely going to need some assistance! What a match! Rabesque leaves the ringside area triumphant! But fans, we still have the main event!! Yes, it's Michael Manson vs. Maelstrom for the title, next!! Don't you dare go away!"

(Fade to a commercial for the next house card in Hammond, Indiana as the camera shows Rabesque staggering away from the ring)
