Then the camera turns up to show the covered steel cage that has been hanging above the ring all night. Pyro explodes from the light terrace as the cage begins to lower to the ring as the fans roar in approval. The cage comes all the way down and settles upon the ring, and at the moment it does, more pyro explodes. Matt Faley is standing at mid-ring inside the imposing steel structure)
MATT FALEY: "Ladies and gentlemen, are you ready for the MAIN EVENT!!? ARE YOU READY!!? (crowd roars) This match is for the Great Lakes Heavyweight Title and will be held within the confines of this covered steel cage! First, coming to the ring, the challenger," (CUE-UP: "Enter Sandman" by Metallica) "From Pandora Island, weighing in at 290lbs., MAELSTROM!!"
(The arena erupts as Manson appears and walks down the aisle. Maelstrom looks completely intense and focused, as if the crowd isn't even there. He wears a black sleeveless shirt and loose fitting jeans. Referee Al Marinaro holds the cage door open for him and he climbs in, takes off his shirt and hands it to Marinaor. He begins to test the cage by shaking it. It has very little give. Content, Maelstrom goes to a corner to loosen up)
M.F.: "And his opponent," (CUE-UP: "Mechanial Animals" by Marilyn Manson) "From Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 230lbs., the Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion, MICHAEL MANSON!!"
(The crowd unloads with boos as Manson walks down to the ring with a confident look on his face. He has the belt over his shoulder and is wearing black tights with strange red designs on them. He walks all the way around the ring, staring inside the cage, as if trying to psyche Maelstrom out. Manson hands his belt to the timekeeper. Marinaro holds the door open for him and Maelstrom feigns a charge but doesn't follow through. Manson takes a step back and yells at Marinaro to make sure Maelstrom lets him in the ring. Marinaro yells at Manson to get in and he closes the door behind them, and then Marinaro locks the cage from inside, and pockets the key, thus ensuring no one gets in)
TONY ROSS: "Wrestling fans around the country, this is what we have been waiting for for months, perhaps years! Two of the greatest wrestlers to ever grace a wrestling ring will engage in battle here in Grand Rapids for the Great lakes Heavyweight Title! But this isn't just about the title! This is about personal pride and glory, and the right to say who the better man is! This is about the bitter feud these men have been involved in over the past few weeks, taking shots at one another, with various weapons like chairs and even beer-sparked fireballs! But now is the time to put up or shut up, no escape and no surrender! This is it! Perhaps the greatest match-up in our sport's grand history, and it's about to happen, right here, right now!"
RICK WISEMAN: "Tony, this arena is at a fever pitch and I can barely hear you through the headset! I figured the crowd might be a bit winded after the 'I Quit' Match, but not so! Nobody is sitting down in here, and there is a feeling that everyone is about to witness history right here!"
T.R.: "The bell rings and here we go! Referee Al Marinaro is only in there to make a three count or call a submission! He will not be breaking any choke holds, or enforcing any rules! Manson is slow to come out of his corner as Maelstrom is beckoning him to mid-ring! A huge 'Maelstrom' chant has broken out here and it is very clear who this crowd is in favor of! Manson seems to be complaining about something to Al Marinaro, and he wants Maelstrom's jeans checked! What the hell, this is anything goes!"
R.W.: "Typical stalling tactics by Manson to try and throw Manson off his game but it's not going to happen! Maelstrom is just too focused and too intense!"
T.R.: "Manson is still arguing with Maelstrom and now Maelstrom demands that this match start and Manson suddenly charges Maelstrom with a high knee after he pushed Marinaro out of the way! Manson staggers Maelstrom and begins pounding away at his mid-section! Manson grabs Maelstrom by the hair and tries to ram him into the turnbuckle, but no dice! Maelstrom blocks and he proceeds to ram Manson's head into the turnbuckle as the crowd counts along!! 7! 8! 9! 10!! Manson staggers back and falls to the mat flat on his face! Maelstrom lets out a war cry and moves to begin his assault!"
R.W.: "Maelstrom is a warrior in the truest sense of the word, and his only weakness may be his savage bloodlust, which may get out of control at any moment! And a crafty veteran like Manson can take advantage of that in an instant!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom drags Manson to his feet and hit a huge uppercut and Manson leaves his feet from the tremendous blow! He flies into the corner and Maelstrom follows! Manson tries to kick him but Maelstrom catches his boot, spins him around and hits a huge atomic drop!! Manson's spine is rocked and he is flattened by a Maelstrom clotheslinbe from behind! Geez, what impact!! A pin!! 1.....2.....No!! Manson got a shoulder up and he is in trouble early!"
R.W.: "Manson has great stamina and a high threshold for pain, but he has never been in the ring with a guy like Maelstrom and Manson may not be able to overcome this assault!"
T.R.: "Over the past few weeks we've seen Manson kidnap Troy Martinez' valet and tie her up in the boiler room of the Rockford Metro Centre, we've seen him harass Lady V with photographs of herself plastered on her dressing room walls! Of course Manson will deny all this but we know damn well know it's him, and you can bet that Lady V and Karen Jewello are watching this closely, hoping that Maelstrom can extract some revenge for them! We've already seen Jared Justice invade the arena earlier and try to attack Manson with a blowtorch, so it's only a matter of time before this all catches up to Manson!"
R.W.: "Manson barely escaped disaster earlier today with Jared Justice, but can he do so right here against Maelstrom?"
T.R.: "Right now it doesn't look so good as Maelstrom whips Manson in and hits a huge big boot to the face! Manson goes down hard! Maelstrom drops a high elbow and covers!! 1......2.....No!! Maelstrom trying for a pinfall instead of the Mortal Sin here!"
R.W.: "He's trying to wear Manson down before he even tries to apply his finishing hold, that half nelson claw!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom pulls Manson up, and Manson tries to break free but Maelstrom head butts him and that ends that resistance! Maelstrom whips him in! He ducks down and Manson rolls over his back turns and hits a reverse elbow right to the jaw and Maelstrom goes down like he was shot! What the hell!?"
R.W.: "Manson is slapping his elbow pad and I will bet any money that thing is loaded!"
T.R.: "Manson shakes off his cobwebs and pulls Maelstrom to a kneeling position and he elbows Maelstrom right on the top of the head, and it's doing some major damage to Maelstrom! It has to be loaded! He then knees Maelstrom right in the face, and he's got kneepads over his tights and I got to believe that those are loaded too! Maelstrom is in a daze here!"
R.W.: "And Marinaro can do nothing about it because it's all legal! Anything goes here!"
T.R.: "The crowd is roaring in disapproval over this as Manson continues to batter Maelstrom with elbows and knees, and I think Maelstrom is opened up from all the blows! Manson drags him over to the cage and now he starts grinding Maelstrom's face in that steel mesh! Manson seems to be enjoying this as he rakes Maelstrom's bloody face across the cage! He throws Maelstrom back to the mat and now Manson is going up top!! Swandive headbutt!! He nails him!! A cover!! 1.....2.....No!! Maelstrom kicks out!"
R.W.: "That move visibly shook Manson up, and it may not have been thge best idea right now, but he does have Maelstrom bloody and in trouble, and that is always a plus!"
T.R.: "No to this crowd it isn't! Manson gets up slowly and he looks down at Maelstrom and he seems to be muttering something to him! He tries to pull Maelstromn up but Maelstrom grabs him and rolls him up!! 1......2.....No!! Very close to a new champion there! Both men are up and Maelstrom ducks a clothesline and he nails Manson with one of his own!! Manson crashes to the mat and Maelstrom stalks him and begins stomping away! Maelstrom has that scary look in his eyes!"
R.W.: "The bloodlust is taking over and this may be where he loses control!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom yanks Manson to his feet and then he starts raking the champion's face across the cage! Now Manson is getting a taste of the steel! Maelstrom has him by the hair and he throws Manson across the ring and he goes flying into the side of the cage!! The cage shakes violently but holds its ground! The fans are calling for Manson's head here as Maelstrom grabs him and throws him into the other side of the cage and Manson goes careening head first!! Manson falls betweenthe ropes and the cage and lies there motionless!"
R.W.: "Now I think Manson is opened up as well! This could be it for Manson unless he can use his craftiness to overcome Maelstrom's brute force!"
T.R.: "The fans are sensing victory here as Maelstrom pulls Manson over the top rope and back into the ring!! He pulls him right up and hooks the Mortal Sin!! It's on right in the middle of the ring!! Wait!! Manson still has some fight in him and he begins mule kicking Maelstrom shins!! Manson breaks free and grabs Maelstrom's arm and pulls him down into the Tourniquet Crossface!! Unbelievable!!"
R.W.: "He can't hook him Tony!! He can't get his hands clasped properly! Maelstrom is fighting it like a madman!!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom will not allow Manson to hook this hold in, and he's able to pry the champion's arms off with his free hand and the hold is broken! Both men get to their feet and Maelstrom charges but Manson ducks and goes behind!! German suplex!! He gets the big man over and bridges!! 1......2.....Ohhh!! Maelstrom just barely kicked out!!"
R.W.: "That move is even more devastating on a big man like Maelstrom because all that weight is coming down right on his neck, and Manson may have just bought himself a ticket to a successful title defense! I give him credit for sustaining a beating like that and being able to come back!"
T.R.: "Now Manson goes for the Tourniquet again but Maelstrom rolls over and kicks Manson away! Maelstrom slowly gets to his feet and Manson charges! Maelstrom grabs him as he was running and throws him right into the cage again!! Manson is now even more bloody! Manson staggers backward and he walks right into a huge back suplex from Maelstrom!! Maelstrom covers!! 1.....2....Manson gets an arm up!!"
R.W.: "Look out, here comes the tag team champions!"
T.R.: "Kraven and Flatliner, who we saw decimate Nick Kurtel and Xanatos earlier, come charging to the ring and now they're trying to get into the cage! Guess what guys!! No one has the key out here, Marinaro has it inside the ring!! Too bad they didn't see that!! And now they're questioning people at ringside but nobody has the key! Maelstrom and Marinaro are by the ropes yelling at the Unholy Alliance to get the hell out of there! The UA just yell back at them and they shake the cage door but there's no way they're breaking that lock!"
R.W.: "Maelstrom had better turn around!"
T.R.: "Manson is up and he knees Maelstrom right in the back and his head collides with the cage!! Maelstrom rebounds and Manson rolls him up!! 1.....2....Ohhhhhh!!! So close!! I thought that was it and so did the crowd!! Maelstrom barely got a shoulder up!! Everyone is on their feet here encouraging Maelstrom to get up and fight back!!"
R.W.: "Someone is coming to the ring! Who is that!?"
T.R.: "It's that hooded figure we saw last week in Kalamazoo that appeared during the Flatliner/Rabesque match!! He runs down to ringside with that black hood on and he plows into Kraven and Flatliner from behind!! He's taking them both on!! Kraven is sent flying into the ringsteps and Flatliner appears to be in shock as this guy lays into him with huge rights! Whoever this guy is, he is BIG! He grabs a chair and labels Flatliner over the head!! Kraven is next and he takes a huge shot!! Wow!! Then the hooded figure takes off running and he's out of here as fast as he came in, taking out the tag team champions in the process!! Unbelievable!"
R.W.: "During all that, Manson pulled a tourniquet out of his tights and just continued to choke Maelstrom, trying to cut his air supply off!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom looks to be out of it in there! He's out of breath from that choking! Manson pulls him up and goes for a dragon suplex, but it's blocked!! The massive Pandorian won't allow him to take him over!! Maelstrom powers out of it and turns and knees Manson in the groin and picks him up and gorilla presses him!! No!! Manson pokes him in the eye and Maelstrom drops him! Manson quickly to his feet and hits a diving reverse elbow that sends Maelstrom crashing into the corner! Manson climbs the ropes above him and oh my!! Tornado DDT!! He drove Maelstrom's head into the mat!! A cover!! 1......2......KICKOUT!! Another close call there as Maelstrom refuses to be pinned!"
R.W.: "This match has gone on for a while now and these guys have got to be losing energy very quickly from the blood loss! But they just seem to keep finding that second and third wind!"
T.R.: "Manson gets Maelstrom to his feet and comes off the ropes with a body press but Maelstrom catches him and thrusts him down with an implant slam!! What impact!! Maelstrom doesn't cover as he tries to catch his breath, and it's obvious that the earlier choking had an effect on him! Maelstrom wipes the blood from his eyes, stands up, and lets out a primordial yell that the fans return in force!! The arena is shaking as Maelstrom stalks Manson! Manson uses the ropes to get to his feet and he kicks Maelstrom in the knee to buy him some time! He tries again but Maelstrom blocks and throw him right back in to the corner! He batters Manson with huge rights and lefts as the fans respond with every blow! The battered Manson slumps to the mat and Maelstrom pulls him to his feet!! He tries to lift Manson for a powerbomb but somehow Manson is able to block!! Manson backdrops him!! Maelstrom follows through with the sunset flip!! 1....2.....Oh my God, so close!! Almost victory for Maelstrom!!"
R.W.: "I can't believe Manson had the energy to flip Maelstroms 290lb frame like that! Manson has to be completely winded after blocking that powerbomb!"
T.R.: "Manson crawls for the corner trying to pull himself up as Maelstrom gets to his feet! Maelstrom rushes in but Manson evades him and Maelstrom hits the turnbuckles and Manson grabs him and hits a bulldog out of the corner! Manson rolls on top and locks the Tourniquet Crossface on!! I don't believe this!!"
R.W.: "I am shocked at the endurance and pain threshold Manson is showing here! He has taken an unbelievable beating and is still going and he has Maelstrom in serious trouble!!"
T.R.: "He's got the Tourniquet cinched this time and those hands are firmly clasped on Maelstrom's head!! Marinaro is checking for a submission but Maelstrom is just yelling out like a madman! He's trying to block out the pain so he can try and escape this hold otherwise that is it for the Pandorian challenger! There you see a bloody and sweaty Maelstrom fighting for his life in there!!"
R.W.: "How much more of this can he take!? He may just black out here!"
T.R.: "The crowd is screaming for Maelstrom to break this hold and wait!! Maelstrom is arching his back and he's forcing Manson to loosen the hold!! Maelstrom arches his massive back and Manson is losing his grip, partly because of the blood and sweat I'm sure as well!! Maelstrom uses his free hand and he's trying to pry him off! Maelstrom almost has the hold broken as his back is completely arched but Manson won't let go of the hold!! Maelstrom is on his knees and Manson still has his hands around Maelstrom's head and he's turned it into some sort of sleeper, but it's not working, as Maelstrom's pulls Manson over and dumps him to the mat!! Listen to this crowd!!"
R.W.: "I can't believe it!! Maelstrom broke the Tourniquet Crossface, but that had to take just about everything out of him! What does he have left and for that matter how much does Manson have left!?"
T.R.: "Manson looks to be in shock as he staggers to his feet and sees Maelstrom standing tall!! Maelstrom beats his chest and the fans roar!! Maelstrom charges Manson and Manson tries to defend himself but to no avail!! Maelstrom with a huge knee staggers Manson and the challenger grabs him by the neck and hits a huge sit-out chokeslam!! Maelstrom pulls him up and there it is!! The Mortal Sin!! It's locked in right in the middle of the ring!! Manson has nowhere to go!! It's deafening in here, the crowd knows this is it!! Manson tries to fight it but he slowly but surely sinks to the mat and now he's not moving at all!! Marinaro lifts his arms once!! Twice!! Three times!!! That's it!! We have a new champion!!! We have a new Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion!! Maelstrom has defeated Michael Manson here at Massive Assault!! Unbelievable!!"
R.W.: "What a match, Tony! These guys threw everything they had and then some at each other, but Maelstrom was able to outlast Manson and come out the victor! Everyone is on their feet screaming their lungs out in here, what a response!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom is the new Great Lakes Champion, and there you see Al Marinaro handing him the belt and Maelstrom raising it up in the air in triumph as the cage lifts off the ring!!"
M.F.: "Ladies and gentlemen, your NEW GLCW Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion....MAELSTROM!!!!"
R.W.: "Maelstrom holds the belt up triumphantly over his defeated foe, and Manson is not moving, he probably had every iota of energy sucked out of him during that match, and Maelstrom is barely able to stand himself!"
T.R.: "That was quite possible the greatest match I have ever seen and it did indeed live up to all the hype! Maelstrom will walk away from Grand Rapids as the Great Lakes Champion!!"
(CUE-UP: "Man That You Fear" by Marilyn Manson)
T.R.: "What the hell!? This is isn't Maelstrom's music, what's going on here!?"
R.W.: "Tony, look!!"
(The camera pans over to the locker room entrance)
T.R.: "Oh my GOD!! It's ANARKY!! What is he doing here!? He's not on the GLCW roster as far as I know!! The crowd erupts in shock as they see Anarky appear here in the Van Andle Arena, and is he here to spoil the Maelstrom victory party!? Or is here to simply announce his arrival in GLCW?? He has a microphone!"
(ANARKY is dressed in his faded black leather jacket, tears and cuts all over it. His face is painted in a skull, all blacks, whites, and grays. His hair is long, blonde, and dishevelled. His arms rest at his sides as he walks, his fingerless
leather gloves stretching as he curls his hands into fists. He slides under the bottom rope and stands up to Maelstrom. He raises the mic to his mouth)
ANARKY: "You know... for a supposed legend... I thought you'd be a little bigger. (smirks) But Maelstrom, my mediocre friend, we have a slight problem. You see... that belt you've got there in your hand, which you just took from Manson... well, that there says that you're some kind of Champion."
(The crowd erupts into applause for Maelstrom. Anarky waits for them to quiet down before speaking.)
ANARKY: "The problem IS, Maelstrom.. in order to BE the Champion... you have to BEAT a Champion. In fact, so far as I can tell, the only thing that qualifies you for that belt is the fact that you give a great rimjob... or so I'm told."
(He smiles again, and the fans boo. Maelstrom gets in Anarky's face.)
ANARKY: "No, Mael...I just can't sit at home and watch pretenders to the throne like you anymore. You want to BE a champion, Mael? Then you step into the ring with the ONLY MAN worthy of such a title... ME."
(Anarky drops the mic and they start screaming at each other. After a few intense moments, Anarky just starts to laugh at Maelstrom, and slowly turns
his back. Maelstrom smiles, perceiving it as a sign of weakness. As Maelstrom turns around and holds up the belt, Anarky pulls something out of his pants: a roll of nickles. He whips Maelstrom around and cracks him with it in the forehead, busting his wounds open even more. Nickels go flying everywhere. Anarky grabs the belt and examines it for a moment, then takes mic and starts talking.)
ANARKY: "No, Mael... you're no champion. Lying at my feet, just like everyone else... just like you were all BORN TO DO. But you go ahead, and you pretend,
because that's what everyone wants you to do. But when it's time... and I ASSURE YOU, Mael... the time will come soon enough... I will be there. And I will
show you... what a champion... is made of. And in return, the only thing I ask of you... is to bring it all. Bring every ounce of determination and grit and
whatever stupid words you have for willpower... for I will take them all, and smite them as I have done time and time again. And then you will be nothing...
just... like... me."
(He drops the mic, spits on the belt, and throws it over Maelstrom's downed body. He walks out of the ring to thunderous boos and a torrent of garbage)
T.R.: "Fans I don't believe this!! Anarky just walked into GLCW and punked out the newly-crowned GLCW champion, Maelstrom!! You have got to be kidding me! Maelstrom joins Manson lying on the mat and what a way to cap off this incredible night!! Maelstrom is the new Great Lakes Champion!! Anarky is here!! Fans, make sure you tune into Riptide coming from the Agora Theater in Cleveland next week to see what happens next! For Rick Wiseman, this is Tony Ross saying so long from Grand Rapids and thank you for watching Massive Assault!"
(The camera shows Anarky disappearing into the locker room as garbage continues to pelt him. Fadeout)

T.R.: "Over the past few weeks we've seen Manson kidnap Troy Martinez' valet and tie her up in the boiler room of the Rockford Metro Centre, we've seen him harass Lady V with photographs of herself plastered on her dressing room walls! Of course Manson will deny all this but we know damn well know it's him, and you can bet that Lady V and Karen Jewello are watching this closely, hoping that Maelstrom can extract some revenge for them! We've already seen Jared Justice invade the arena earlier and try to attack Manson with a blowtorch, so it's only a matter of time before this all catches up to Manson!"
R.W.: "Manson barely escaped disaster earlier today with Jared Justice, but can he do so right here against Maelstrom?"
T.R.: "Right now it doesn't look so good as Maelstrom whips Manson in and hits a huge big boot to the face! Manson goes down hard! Maelstrom drops a high elbow and covers!! 1......2.....No!! Maelstrom trying for a pinfall instead of the Mortal Sin here!"
R.W.: "He's trying to wear Manson down before he even tries to apply his finishing hold, that half nelson claw!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom pulls Manson up, and Manson tries to break free but Maelstrom head butts him and that ends that resistance! Maelstrom whips him in! He ducks down and Manson rolls over his back turns and hits a reverse elbow right to the jaw and Maelstrom goes down like he was shot! What the hell!?"
R.W.: "Manson is slapping his elbow pad and I will bet any money that thing is loaded!"
T.R.: "Manson shakes off his cobwebs and pulls Maelstrom to a kneeling position and he elbows Maelstrom right on the top of the head, and it's doing some major damage to Maelstrom! It has to be loaded! He then knees Maelstrom right in the face, and he's got kneepads over his tights and I got to believe that those are loaded too! Maelstrom is in a daze here!"
R.W.: "And Marinaro can do nothing about it because it's all legal! Anything goes here!"
T.R.: "The crowd is roaring in disapproval over this as Manson continues to batter Maelstrom with elbows and knees, and I think Maelstrom is opened up from all the blows! Manson drags him over to the cage and now he starts grinding Maelstrom's face in that steel mesh! Manson seems to be enjoying this as he rakes Maelstrom's bloody face across the cage! He throws Maelstrom back to the mat and now Manson is going up top!! Swandive headbutt!! He nails him!! A cover!! 1.....2.....No!! Maelstrom kicks out!"
R.W.: "That move visibly shook Manson up, and it may not have been thge best idea right now, but he does have Maelstrom bloody and in trouble, and that is always a plus!"
T.R.: "No to this crowd it isn't! Manson gets up slowly and he looks down at Maelstrom and he seems to be muttering something to him! He tries to pull Maelstromn up but Maelstrom grabs him and rolls him up!! 1......2.....No!! Very close to a new champion there! Both men are up and Maelstrom ducks a clothesline and he nails Manson with one of his own!! Manson crashes to the mat and Maelstrom stalks him and begins stomping away! Maelstrom has that scary look in his eyes!"
R.W.: "The bloodlust is taking over and this may be where he loses control!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom yanks Manson to his feet and then he starts raking the champion's face across the cage! Now Manson is getting a taste of the steel! Maelstrom has him by the hair and he throws Manson across the ring and he goes flying into the side of the cage!! The cage shakes violently but holds its ground! The fans are calling for Manson's head here as Maelstrom grabs him and throws him into the other side of the cage and Manson goes careening head first!! Manson falls betweenthe ropes and the cage and lies there motionless!"
R.W.: "Now I think Manson is opened up as well! This could be it for Manson unless he can use his craftiness to overcome Maelstrom's brute force!"
T.R.: "The fans are sensing victory here as Maelstrom pulls Manson over the top rope and back into the ring!! He pulls him right up and hooks the Mortal Sin!! It's on right in the middle of the ring!! Wait!! Manson still has some fight in him and he begins mule kicking Maelstrom shins!! Manson breaks free and grabs Maelstrom's arm and pulls him down into the Tourniquet Crossface!! Unbelievable!!"
R.W.: "He can't hook him Tony!! He can't get his hands clasped properly! Maelstrom is fighting it like a madman!!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom will not allow Manson to hook this hold in, and he's able to pry the champion's arms off with his free hand and the hold is broken! Both men get to their feet and Maelstrom charges but Manson ducks and goes behind!! German suplex!! He gets the big man over and bridges!! 1......2.....Ohhh!! Maelstrom just barely kicked out!!"
R.W.: "That move is even more devastating on a big man like Maelstrom because all that weight is coming down right on his neck, and Manson may have just bought himself a ticket to a successful title defense! I give him credit for sustaining a beating like that and being able to come back!"
T.R.: "Now Manson goes for the Tourniquet again but Maelstrom rolls over and kicks Manson away! Maelstrom slowly gets to his feet and Manson charges! Maelstrom grabs him as he was running and throws him right into the cage again!! Manson is now even more bloody! Manson staggers backward and he walks right into a huge back suplex from Maelstrom!! Maelstrom covers!! 1.....2....Manson gets an arm up!!"
R.W.: "Look out, here comes the tag team champions!"
T.R.: "Kraven and Flatliner, who we saw decimate Nick Kurtel and Xanatos earlier, come charging to the ring and now they're trying to get into the cage! Guess what guys!! No one has the key out here, Marinaro has it inside the ring!! Too bad they didn't see that!! And now they're questioning people at ringside but nobody has the key! Maelstrom and Marinaro are by the ropes yelling at the Unholy Alliance to get the hell out of there! The UA just yell back at them and they shake the cage door but there's no way they're breaking that lock!"
R.W.: "Maelstrom had better turn around!"
T.R.: "Manson is up and he knees Maelstrom right in the back and his head collides with the cage!! Maelstrom rebounds and Manson rolls him up!! 1.....2....Ohhhhhh!!! So close!! I thought that was it and so did the crowd!! Maelstrom barely got a shoulder up!! Everyone is on their feet here encouraging Maelstrom to get up and fight back!!"
R.W.: "Someone is coming to the ring! Who is that!?"
T.R.: "It's that hooded figure we saw last week in Kalamazoo that appeared during the Flatliner/Rabesque match!! He runs down to ringside with that black hood on and he plows into Kraven and Flatliner from behind!! He's taking them both on!! Kraven is sent flying into the ringsteps and Flatliner appears to be in shock as this guy lays into him with huge rights! Whoever this guy is, he is BIG! He grabs a chair and labels Flatliner over the head!! Kraven is next and he takes a huge shot!! Wow!! Then the hooded figure takes off running and he's out of here as fast as he came in, taking out the tag team champions in the process!! Unbelievable!"
R.W.: "During all that, Manson pulled a tourniquet out of his tights and just continued to choke Maelstrom, trying to cut his air supply off!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom looks to be out of it in there! He's out of breath from that choking! Manson pulls him up and goes for a dragon suplex, but it's blocked!! The massive Pandorian won't allow him to take him over!! Maelstrom powers out of it and turns and knees Manson in the groin and picks him up and gorilla presses him!! No!! Manson pokes him in the eye and Maelstrom drops him! Manson quickly to his feet and hits a diving reverse elbow that sends Maelstrom crashing into the corner! Manson climbs the ropes above him and oh my!! Tornado DDT!! He drove Maelstrom's head into the mat!! A cover!! 1......2......KICKOUT!! Another close call there as Maelstrom refuses to be pinned!"
R.W.: "This match has gone on for a while now and these guys have got to be losing energy very quickly from the blood loss! But they just seem to keep finding that second and third wind!"
T.R.: "Manson gets Maelstrom to his feet and comes off the ropes with a body press but Maelstrom catches him and thrusts him down with an implant slam!! What impact!! Maelstrom doesn't cover as he tries to catch his breath, and it's obvious that the earlier choking had an effect on him! Maelstrom wipes the blood from his eyes, stands up, and lets out a primordial yell that the fans return in force!! The arena is shaking as Maelstrom stalks Manson! Manson uses the ropes to get to his feet and he kicks Maelstrom in the knee to buy him some time! He tries again but Maelstrom blocks and throw him right back in to the corner! He batters Manson with huge rights and lefts as the fans respond with every blow! The battered Manson slumps to the mat and Maelstrom pulls him to his feet!! He tries to lift Manson for a powerbomb but somehow Manson is able to block!! Manson backdrops him!! Maelstrom follows through with the sunset flip!! 1....2.....Oh my God, so close!! Almost victory for Maelstrom!!"
R.W.: "I can't believe Manson had the energy to flip Maelstroms 290lb frame like that! Manson has to be completely winded after blocking that powerbomb!"
T.R.: "Manson crawls for the corner trying to pull himself up as Maelstrom gets to his feet! Maelstrom rushes in but Manson evades him and Maelstrom hits the turnbuckles and Manson grabs him and hits a bulldog out of the corner! Manson rolls on top and locks the Tourniquet Crossface on!! I don't believe this!!"
R.W.: "I am shocked at the endurance and pain threshold Manson is showing here! He has taken an unbelievable beating and is still going and he has Maelstrom in serious trouble!!"
T.R.: "He's got the Tourniquet cinched this time and those hands are firmly clasped on Maelstrom's head!! Marinaro is checking for a submission but Maelstrom is just yelling out like a madman! He's trying to block out the pain so he can try and escape this hold otherwise that is it for the Pandorian challenger! There you see a bloody and sweaty Maelstrom fighting for his life in there!!"
R.W.: "How much more of this can he take!? He may just black out here!"
T.R.: "The crowd is screaming for Maelstrom to break this hold and wait!! Maelstrom is arching his back and he's forcing Manson to loosen the hold!! Maelstrom arches his massive back and Manson is losing his grip, partly because of the blood and sweat I'm sure as well!! Maelstrom uses his free hand and he's trying to pry him off! Maelstrom almost has the hold broken as his back is completely arched but Manson won't let go of the hold!! Maelstrom is on his knees and Manson still has his hands around Maelstrom's head and he's turned it into some sort of sleeper, but it's not working, as Maelstrom's pulls Manson over and dumps him to the mat!! Listen to this crowd!!"
R.W.: "I can't believe it!! Maelstrom broke the Tourniquet Crossface, but that had to take just about everything out of him! What does he have left and for that matter how much does Manson have left!?"
T.R.: "Manson looks to be in shock as he staggers to his feet and sees Maelstrom standing tall!! Maelstrom beats his chest and the fans roar!! Maelstrom charges Manson and Manson tries to defend himself but to no avail!! Maelstrom with a huge knee staggers Manson and the challenger grabs him by the neck and hits a huge sit-out chokeslam!! That just about knocked what little wind Manson had left out of him!! Maelstrom pulls him up, lines him up, and hits a huge savate kick!! Holy smokes!! What a shot!! This crowd is going ballistic!! Maelstrom pulls him up and there it is!! The Mortal Sin!! It's locked in right in the middle of the ring!! Manson has nowhere to go!! It's deafening in here, the crowd knows this is it!! Manson tries to fight it but he slowly but surely sinks to the mat and now he's not moving at all!! Marinaro lifts his arms once!! Twice!! Three times!!! That's it!! We have a new champion!!! We have a new Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion!! Maelstrom has defeated Michael Manson here at Massive Assault!! Unbelievable!!"
R.W.: "What a match, Tony! These guys threw everything they had and then some at each other, but Maelstrom was able to outlast Manson and come out the victor! Everyone is on their feet screaming their lungs out in here, what a response!"
T.R.: "Maelstrom is the new Great Lakes Champion, and there you see Al Marinaro handing him the belt and Maelstrom raising it up in the air in triumph as the cage lifts off the ring!!"
M.F.: "Ladies and gentlemen, your NEW GLCW Great Lakes Heavyweight Champion....MAELSTROM!!!!"
R.W.: "Maelstrom holds the belt up triumphantly over his defeated foe, and Manson is not moving, he probably had every iota of energy sucked out of him during that match, and Maelstrom is barely able to stand himself!"
T.R.: "That was quite possible the greatest match I have ever seen and it did indeed live up to all the hype! Maelstrom will walk away from Grand Rapids as the Great Lakes Champion!!"
(CUE-UP: "Man That You Fear" by Marilyn Manson)
T.R.: "What the hell!? This is isn't Maelstrom's music, what's going on here!?"
R.W.: "Tony, look!!"
(The camera pans over to the locker room entrance)
T.R.: "Oh my GOD!! It's ANARKY!! What is he doing here!? He's not on the GLCW roster as far as I know!! The crowd erupts in shock as they see Anarky appear here in the Van Andle Arena, and is he here to spoil the Maelstrom victory party!? Or is here to simply announce his arrival in GLCW?? He has a microphone!"
(ANARKY is dressed in his faded black leather jacket, tears and cuts all over it. His face is painted in a skull, all blacks, whites, and grays. His hair is long, blonde, and dishevelled. His arms rest at his sides as he walks, his fingerless
leather gloves stretching as he curls his hands into fists. He slides under the bottom rope and stands up to Maelstrom. He raises the mic to his mouth)
ANARKY: "You know... for a supposed legend... I thought you'd be a little bigger. (smirks) But Maelstrom, my mediocre friend, we have a slight problem. You see... that belt you've got there in your hand, which you just took from Manson... well, that there says that you're some kind of Champion."
(The crowd erupts into applause for Maelstrom. Anarky waits for them to quiet down before speaking.)
ANARKY: "The problem IS, Maelstrom.. in order to BE the Champion... you have to BEAT a Champion. In fact, so far as I can tell, the only thing that qualifies you for that belt is the fact that you give a great rimjob... or so I'm told."
(He smiles again, and the fans boo. Maelstrom gets in Anarky's face.)
ANARKY: "No, Mael...I just can't sit at home and watch pretenders to the throne like you anymore. You want to BE a champion, Mael? Then you step into the ring with the ONLY MAN worthy of such a title... ME."
(Anarky drops the mic and they start screaming at each other. After a few intense moments, Anarky just starts to laugh at Maelstrom, and slowly turns
his back. Maelstrom smiles, perceiving it as a sign of weakness. As Maelstrom turns around and holds up the belt, Anarky pulls something out of his pants: a roll of nickles. He whips Maelstrom around and cracks him with it in the forehead, busting his wounds open even more. Nickels go flying everywhere. Anarky grabs the belt and examines it for a moment, then takes mic and starts talking.)
ANARKY: "No, Mael... you're no champion. Lying at my feet, just like everyone else... just like you were all BORN TO DO. But you go ahead, and you pretend,
because that's what everyone wants you to do. But when it's time... and I ASSURE YOU, Mael... the time will come soon enough... I will be there. And I will
show you... what a champion... is made of. And in return, the only thing I ask of you... is to bring it all. Bring every ounce of determination and grit and
whatever stupid words you have for willpower... for I will take them all, and smite them as I have done time and time again. And then you will be nothing...
just... like... me."
(He drops the mic, spits on the belt, and throws it over Maelstrom's downed body. He walks out of the ring to thunderous boos and a torrent of garbage)
T.R.: "Fans I don't believe this!! Anarky just walked into GLCW and punked out the newly-crowned GLCW champion, Maelstrom!! You have got to be kidding me! Maelstrom joins Manson lying on the mat and what a way to cap off this incredible night!! Maelstrom is the new Great Lakes Champion!! Anarky is here!! Fans, make sure you tune into Riptide coming from the Agora Theater in Cleveland next week to see what happens next! (The camera shows Anarky disappearing into the locker room as garbage continues to pelt him. Fadeout)
