Good evening Knightwatchers, Trent McKnight here once again to inform you that SLAM's 42nd episode is now available to stream at your pleasure.
42 is such a unique number wouldn't you agree? After all the Ultimate Answer to Life, the Universe and Everything is --- 42. Quite fitting that before we head into the new year we would be greeted with additional questions and perhaps some answers on our New Years Eve edition. Although every party has to have its party pooper and you can bet that there were plenty of those to go around.
NBW has always had a policy of doing its best to stick to the scheduled card the fans expect to see. Unfortunately sometimes this doesn't work out as planned. Case in point last night. While it was booked ahead of time as Alyx Norwood facing off against the returning RaVage, uncontrolled circumstances forced an on-the-fly decision to be made by our General Manager Jack 'High Flyer' Harmen. In its place he booked what will surely go down as one for the record books and highlight reels with the former World and Blitzkrieg Champion facing off with the World Champion herself, Our Aurora of the Ring - Saphire. And yes, it would indeed be for the World Title! Now how is that for ending the Year off right?
Additionally The Hype stepped up to the plate to challenge the Dynasty Tag Team Champions following what has been called one of the oddest promo's done in the history of the NBW. Further in what was already a barn fire waiting to happen the NBW has seen the addition to the tag team ranks even further this night and that powder keg the Champions are sitting on is about to blow sky high! Speaking of Champions, the Blitzkrieg champion Judasbleek was in action within his home however in a non-title match against NBW's first ever World Heavyweight Champion - Uncensored. Fans are already calling it a match for the 2013 Best of DVD, let alone the past decade.
While those two had the rules tossed aside for their pleasure, as was announced on Social Media and this website ACW's Last Hero Chris Moliano faced off against ZED to determine the number one contender to Saphire's Championship at Gods vs Titans. Ravage however wasn't the only returning superstar this night as Benjamin 'KO' Jones made his return to delight of the fans when he faced off against Simon Starks. On the opposite side of the scale we also saw the debut of a new tag team, well trio, in the ranks for NBW with the Handsome Man Modeling School, if I'm saying that right, against the The Supersquad.
And one last order of business! Ever since CG Gains was propelled to the commentator booth to join Melissa Vanderart I've been pulling far more than just double the work load. Thankfully last night saw the introduction and debut of our newest backstage interviewer, Adria Hoyt. Welcome to the family, as you're in for one hell of a ride!
