I'm just curious - is there any potential/talk of Empire, New Frontier and International forming a NWA-type umbrella fed? I've been involved in two of those before - NWC, WfWA - and they're always a lot of fun. With overriding confederation-wide belts which traveled between feds on a monthly basis with confederation-wide PPVs taking place on bi-annual or quaterly basis.

Or is this just a loose affiliation? Sharing server space, occassionally interacting?

Just trying to get a better feel for it. I can certainly vouch for that kind of set-up although given the length of time/history of this place it seems that certainly would have been considered at some point.

But just figured I'd check.

Stuff like that usually implodes to the intra fed politics, there was an "Ultratitle" that got defended in the various different leagues back on Prodigy (Where a lot of us come from) but the headaches and inflighting that resulted from that were to much for people to deal with.

Oh ok, I see... I just saw what I believed to be some intermingling of handlers amongst the feds anyway so I thought that might not be as much as trouble here, but if it's been tried before and failed then there's no real reason to try again I suppose.

Politics certainly plays a role in that set-up (and honestly, any set up), however, I think there are certainly ways to minimize the effects (overriding executive committee on the umbrella - vote on championship matches, expand territories, etc.), but that's also a whole other ball of wax because that too expands someone's workload.

Speaking as a former head of the WfWA, and as a guy who has tried time and again to figure out how to bring an inter-fed into the current eWrestling product, I can tell you that it's almost impossible to do anymore.

Not enough people share the similar kinds of ideals that it takes to do more than a once-off tournament every other year or so. It's sad, because I'd love to put DEF back into an inter-fed situation, I just don't know how it'll ever happen again.

Really enjoyed my time in WfWA although my two stints were rather brief - more a case of hitting a wall on the comeback trail, then anything in my actual experience.

Like I said in a prior post this is my first legitimate try in a number of years years (I said 7 in a prior post - may not have been that long, the years all kind of run together at this point). In fact, the first place I went back to was WfWA, but found it closed.

What do you think has changed so much? I remember being in that group and loving the interplay amongst the feds, the friendly rivalry, cross-fed promotions and, in particular, striving for an overriding title. When it was amongst 3-5 feds - and only 9-12 shots were given out a year, it certainly gave it the feel of being a "World Champion."

I've been out of the game so long - I guess I didn't see the way either of my experiences truly came apart - I always thought it was more of a time issue and a lack of succession from leadership - rather than a "political" or culture change.

As far as uniting the leagues under one banner, that will more then likely never happen here. However we have had various interfed ppvs here.

Also our current Emerald City Champion Vizier ta Seti is on a mission to get IWF noticed by the other leagues.
