BRANDON JACOBS: Welcome everyone to Rage in a Cage, tonight is the night which will shape our destiny for the next four shows with Psycho making his very first title defense against the one man who has repeatedly throttled his efforts to wear WFW World Heavyweight Title Gold. Tonight however, Psycho comes in as champion and Doc Silver won’t be able to escape because the door will be wielded shut and there will be razor wire on the top of the cage to keep Doc Silver from escaping.
VIC WATERS: Doc Silver is not an animal and he shouldn’t be treated as such. These barbaric conditions aren’t fit for any man let alone someone of the status of Doc. Couldn’t he have a nice, clean, non gimmick match which isn’t like a second home to a madman like Psycho? WFW management is just serving Doc Silver up to the wolves. Politics I tell you, they want to see Doc have his behind handed to him and they know Psycho is crazy enough to give him the beating that all these fans want to see. Damn crazy ass vampires.
BRANDON JACOBS: Look Vic, Doc could have refused the title shot. Nobody made him wrestle tonight. He is doing this because he knows the WFW World Heavyweight Title is the most prestigious in all of wrestling and wearing that belt means that you are the very best in wrestling today. There are a lot of critics out there of the style Psycho does and the title around his waste is validation that just because you are a daredevil, just because you refuse to conform to the styles of every other wrestler in the league that you can become a success.
VIC WATERS: Psycho is a danger to himself and everyone else in this league. He doesn’t know when enough is enough and he is willing to do anything to win.
BRANDON JACOBS: That is the same quality which makes him World Champion. You need someone a bit nuts in order to beat Doc Silver who is willing to break every rule in the book to win.
VIC WATERS: We will see, Doc Silver up to now has really had his number, Doc may reclaim his throne tonight at Psycho’s expense.
BRANDON JACOBS: I’m really looking forward to the Richard Gideon vs. Shawn Hart match to determine who will be facing the WFW World Heavyweight Champion at the next PPV. I’ve been told in advance that the upcoming PPV will be strictly one on one matches and there won’t be able triple threats or four corners matches. It will be man vs. man for all the marbles.
VIC WATERS: Too many people in a match just makes in confusing, although I loved the wild brawl in the main event except for Silver losing. I really would like to see Shawn Hart win this and face Psycho at the PPV. Shawn Hart has his own level of greatness, it isn’t as high as Doc Silver’s, but it is up there and there is an old saying that the third time is a charm. I think that if he wins this match, he’ll go on to be the next champion.
BRANDON JACOBS: Wait… did you say if he faced Psycho at the PPV? You don’t think Doc Silver is going to win?
VIC WATERS: Don’t want to jinx myself.
BRANDON JACOBS: Shawn Hart has been incredible lately, he is one of the building blocks of this company and after what happened to him at Cherry Blossom Chaos when he nearly killed himself falling down the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial I’d like to see him win, I think Richard Gideon has been on too much of a hot streak lately. That kid has something magical and he came close to beating the legendary Doc Silver on several occasions. Is Richard Gideon really this good this fast or does he just have Doc Silver’s number like the Yankees have owned the Red Sox for the last one hundred years?
VIC WATERS: You can’t give Doc Silver the matches Richard Gideon did and not be a great wrestler. I don’t know though… Maybe Richard Gideon will win, if you remember, Psycho got into the main event last time because Shawn Hart couldn’t beat him in the number one contender match for the PPV title shot which ultimately cost him the title. If he had beaten Psycho before the time expired, he probably would have gone on to win the WFW World Heavyweight Title.
BRANDON JACOBS: That is a very good point, that match is a tossup either way. Our producer is signaling that we have to rap up, lets quickly go into Manson & Felix Red vs. Scotty Michaels & Andre Eian… who do you think is going to win?
VIC WATERS: This match has had the most controversy of any match on this show because of Starr pulling out of the match and Felix Red making his debut as his replacement. This match really is a tough call, Michaels injured Manson before the match on the PPV which has caused a leg injury which is still effecting Manson to this day and he will be teaming up with the man who will be headlining the next show against Manson, Andre Eian. I don’t know if this match is about who wins the match or not, Michaels and Eian would like nothing more to soften up Manson so Eian won’t have to do as much work to win the title on the next show. The wildcard however is Felix Red and we will have to see how he comes into play tonight and if he is able to help the injured Manson out so this isn’t a blatant two on one.
BRANDON JACOBS: I’ve seen Felx Red before and he a talented, talented wrestler and I have a feeling that sooner or later he will be a WFW World Heavyweight Champion. But Michaels and Eian are vicious animals… I know Manson can take care of himself, but I’m worried for him because he is willing to work through pain in order to get to the top of the mountain. Manson may be an SOB at times, but there is just no quit in him and you have to admire that.
VIC WATERS: He should have taken the show off and rested up for his match with Eian. There was no reason he had to wrestle this match tonight other than to get some stupid revenge on Michaels for what he did to him.
BRANDON JACOBS: And you’ll never understand Manson either, there are two kinds of people in this world, Manson people and Doc Silver people are you are definitely a Doc Silver person.
