Overall I really like the new redesign, much more professional, much cleaner, integrated main page. Definitely a huge improvement.

My only criticism is that the header is kind of... enormous. Between the top menu, the logos for the leagues, and the "upcoming events," that is an extremely serious amount of vertical space being taken up by a header-like area.

Ultimately, though, I think it's a huge improvement, and thanks to Katz, I'm guessing(?), for doing it. Well done, sir.

Actually, I didn't design this one from scratch. I'm helping Chad modify the template skin though. :)

I do agree that without a cadre of leagues that top space may be too much. Chad and I can look into whether or not decreasing those areas will mess up the formatting of the site.

Thanks for the feedback, Josh. I'm working on finding a programmer to help with some of the rest of the redesign, which will include a better content management system and an updated main page. A lot of that is still up in the air -- the goal is to return some of the functionality we had previously, while integrating it more closely with the forums.

As we get further down that path, and as Katz and I have some time to play with the layout and see what we can do without breaking the forum, we'll try to take all the feedback into account and play around with some options.

You have to work that out with Katz, but you were definitely on my list to connect with and see if we can get LoC connected in.

Would love for the old hosting to be fixed ... that way I can go back to keeping EPW's website up to date. :)

The program that runs the old hosting is dead and the programmer has been gone for years. Best thing to do would be to download the whole site and set up new hosting for it.

Nice work on the design chad and katz, the design looks awesome. I actually really like the header to the design, I think it serves it purpose well. It’s neat, not clustered and provides a nice flow. Good work again.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

Thanks Trevor -- means a lot coming from someone who has done so much design of his own. Now get yourself and your league over here too. ;)

Holy ****. This is the most activity the FWDiscussion has seen in years. j/k

Chad, I'll get in touch with you about the EPW hosting. I'm sure Brunk couldn't care less about having an updated site ... but I'm OCD and I must continue updating it. :p
