I just wonder what other documents were in that pile of Eddie's that went up in smoke.

I'm sorely missing 9 pages of BFF ranting in here. :(

Maybe it's because he realized that Hornet's Guild application just went up in smoke?

Great job to the matchwriters .... everybody who did a segment, too. This show read very well and seems like everybody was hitting on all cylinders (even if we were terribly late). It'll be nice to have Rose back in the Frontier. I'm dreading the fact that JJ has more to brag about that he had before! Superfly Express are/are going to be an awesome team if they stick together. Those characters go together like PB and J. Nice to see Legion get a little revenge on Stalker (and curious to see the backlash)! Castor/Dane keeps progressing. Congrats to Pants on the Triple Crown win! Match was a very good read, sir.

Okay - so as I promised Katz, here is some Re-Loaded feedback. Heading home now so I'll get back to the rest of the card at a later date.

You get stars X out of five this week.

Next time I'll do the whole best face / seg / heel / line thing.

**** - That opening title sequence WAS AY-MAY-ZING! It really painted an amazing picture of what NFW has done and where it's going and what it sets out to achieve. Really well done and it REALLY seems like I was sitting down and watching a WWE broadcast. TALK ABOUT PRODUCTION VALUES!
***1/2 - I love the introduction to the card. The relationship between Hollywood and O'Connor is fantastic and really enjoyable. Sets up our expectations nicely.
*** - aside from quite a few moments that were erroneusly about "what happen" and never showing/telling me what happened the segment was good. I really like the build up of this where you've come to and this is where the fork in the road goes. That was really cool and I'm interested in seeing where that builds to. A solid and enjoyable segment.
* - not sure what the point of the Mayfield segment was. It's telling us he's busy but he's not interested in doing the work? Didn't do anything for me.
*** - The Bobby Jack/Cruise/JJ segment was good. Again, there is a lot of telling us something happened but not explaining it. I prefer to know what's going on without having to trawl through previous shows and I've been away for a little while so I'd prefer it if you'd just come out and show me what's going on. I love the whole "beg for my foregiveness" thing. The segment worked though I'm was unsure as to why Deacon came to Cruise's rescue. Again, with the assuming I know stuff thing.
** - This segment was okay but there were more assumptions made about what has gone on in the past. Which is difficult to digest as a reader because I need to make certain assumptions about was has gone on. The other thing to note is we've had six segments now and we're only coming up to our first match. Was all of this stuff necessary for before the first bell tolls?
***1/2 - The match was really enjoyable and continues to prove why NFW has the best results in this game. The momentum could be felt and the pace was great. The moves and science work together as well. Overall, a really solid and top notch match.
*** - The Dane segment was quite amusing and I love the way he's getting under his skin. But again with the assumptions and could probably be a lesson that goes over the entire roster. It doesn't take much for us to be given a throw away line as to why Dane has all of Castor's stuff. Though one could assume he's just broken into Castor's house and sold stuff we know there's more at play. SHOW ME!
**** - Just gotta say I love the continuity that we get from the commentating team and we can see the work that goes into putting this card together by Katz. Well done! I REALLY loved the battle between Bryant and stratton. It was done really well and you could feel every mode that was made. It was a really great journey and puts Bryant RIGHT on top of this feud after the goings on here and I can only IMAGINE the repercussions that will come of this. Great stuff!
***1/2 - Wow. That's all I can say. FYI - this is the THIRD time we've seen JJ Deville on this card already. Just sayin. The segment was good and I loved the touch of turning the backs to JJ. That was nice and though I was going to complain about being told something happened and not shown, JJ did explain to us what happened after O'Connor teased it. The segment was really good and I look forward to seeing how this moves forward. We probably didn't need to have a segment between this and JJ's match though. We could have had continuation along with the crowd's already negative reaction because the heat had been built already for JJ - the match should have happened then.
***1/2 - I really enjoyed the Nova & Harmen segment. It's cool to get a picture of where that team are at and building to what we should be expecting from the duo. It's a pretty cool tag team combination and it was cool to see them integrate a little history into things and tell us their objective. Solid and enjoyable segment. Looking forward to seeing more from these guys.
*** - One thing to say is Hollywood changed his tune mighty quick between the previous JJ segment and this match. I would have liked to have seen that EXTRA dose of heat continue from Hollywood. This match was good but for me it probably went on for a little bit too long. I did find myself losing a little bit of momentum through it but there were some good spots and I loved the tease of the grounded referee.

****1/2 - The Randalls & Wyndham segment was priceless and I was literally left here marking out wanting to see more begging for something more to happen but given just enough to want to see where it goes. Raise the stakes? How will he raise the stakes? FFS! SOMEBODY TELL ME! Mark out! Can't WAIT to see where this goes. Dusty would hate the walls of text though.
**** - Not sure what the relevance of the card stuff was and it didn't really do much for me I'm afraid. Excellent continuation mentioning Herpin's fall earlier in the night. I love those little moments in cards as it REALLY adds to the realism. It does need to be said though - Herpin will be looking for some sort of payday with all these head injuries. The pace of the match was great and I breezed through as a reader finding the same pace. It was written well and apart from losing where people were in some spots it didn't matter because everything was so great. The ending was fantastic and you can see where it opens things up for future storylines. There's so much to develop from this, from the outside looking in, and I would expect Deacon would be doing something about Black wearing that belt. That seems logical and I want to see that.
*** - The whole Halo playing Mayfield thing made sense to me at the end and Randalls coming in and burning the files was cool. I am interested in seeing how that particular storyline progresses and what Mayfield does to stand up against (or beside?) the Clan.

OVERALL SCORE: ***1/2 - The show was really solid but in my opinion lacked a little where I was expected to know what was already going on. There were some REALLY cool part of the show and I thoroughly enjoyed the matches on the card. CLEARLY... I'm grading based on my expectations of NFW because the shows here surpass anything else anywhere else puts out. I'd really like to see, as a whole, writers try to paint the picture of the history in their segments to people rather than assume. Use NFW's production values for replays and previously's, it's so much simpler and fills people in immediately. There are a lot of questions left unanswered from some of these segments, meaning I want to see where the storylines travel from here.

All I can say is Bravo! and I look forward to reading more.

Thanks so much Voss -- it's great to see any and all feedback, especially with this much insight/opinion!
Opinions are like assholes... I just happen to not be shy when it comes to waving mine around.

You're welcome, guys. Hope you can take something from it.

I am way late on this...

Previously/Welcome - The historical throwback was a great way to open the show, especially given Castor's surprise challenger. If you read the opening, the old school references throughout the show should make a little more sense. I think a Lowell card is more a treat for the few of us who were around during NFW 1.0, but like always, the translation to the here and now was pretty good. NFW is a league that celebrates it's history, one of the most important qualities a league can possess in my opinion. NITPICK: In the opening montage, JJ Deville is shown hitting a Slacknife on Castor. While I would love to think it was the Slacknife he pinned him with and not his own finisher The Director's Cut, we all know it didn't go down like that. But hey, I'm all for altering history. ;)

Know Your Role - Troy being pissed at JJ for the Dan Ryan angle really sold the depravity of it. I like that Troy called JJ's move in predicting he would soon turn on him. Great foreshadowing, which is a theme we saw throughout the show.

Know Your Responsibility - As someone who used to play a ton of Halo, this really had me laughing lol. This seg really got over the fact that Eddie is swamped and not taking care of business. The best of the few segments that attempted to do this, and really...I don't think a lot of the other stuff was needed after this.

Beggars and Choosers - Solid segment where tag partners split up. It's nice to see a fun, old school style segment like this on a Reloaded, that doesn't revolve around main event caliber stuff. Lots of back and forth dialogue on the show, and this one was actually, IMO, some of the best. Had a real conversational flow, and I've always liked the Bobby Jack character. Hoping this goes somewhere, i.e. a feud between Bobby Jack and Christian (Cameron now?) Cruise.

Moves to be Made - More foreshadowing. Definitely something brewing between Dynasty and Jack Bryant, and I'm interested to see what that is and how/if it affects Dorchester. I would like to see this story move forward a bit, as it seems like we've seen this type of segment out of Dynasty multiple times.

Castor vs. Bloodhunt/Dane Shopping Network -
Been wanting to do a surprise match between Castor and Bloodhunt for a while now. The intent was to do a 'returning injured legend' spot, where people expect him to get killed and he surprises everyone with a valiant effort. Lots of history here, as Castor was just starting out when Bloodhunt was in his prime. As for the post-match segment, I thought it was hilarious. This is an idea Justin and I developed together, and he wrote it quite skillfully. If there's one thing I'm a mark for, it's wrestling segments dropping pasty white boys in the hood. NOTE ON NAZI PARAPHERNALIA: So...why does Castor own authentic Hitler dinner plates? Simple: he's notorious for spending large sums of money on black market antiquities, and Hitler dinner plates are among the most sought after (and highly illegal) items. He also owns items that were pillaged from museums in Iraq and Egypt. When I did the "Castor is drowning in debt" angle in PRIME, the dinner plates were Exhibit A in how he's spent his money like a total idiot. So yeah, no racism/anti-semitism intended...just a running theme for a man who should never have been handed a credit card! Also Justin, you spelled DER FUHRER wrong. :)

Jack Bryant vs. Dorchester - OK so they brawled out of the curtains, and the match ended. Entertaining read, but did I overlook something here? I probably did!

JJ Apologizes - Great segment! JJ having to apologize for costing the NFW it's sponsors is awesome, and whoever thought of that is a genius. :) GG took it to a whole other level, and JJ ruining the apology at the end was crazy. NOTED ABSENCE: Where the heck is Dan Ryan in all this? Did Brunk leave, or is Danny Boy costing NFW money behind the scenes? I am integrate the sponsorship angle into my next promo with Castor, in a big way.

OF COMINGS AND GOINGS AROUND - Even though it wasn't terribly important to the show, this was my favorite segment. Nova and Harmen are f*cking hilarious. When Harmen rushed past Impulse's locker room because of the feud they had 4 years ago I laughed my ass off. The subtle humor here is genius, and these two play off each other so well. I didn't know much about the team prior to this, other than it being two awesome characters teaming up. Now they are my favorite tag team. Please keep this going!

Impulse vs. JJ - Match was excellent, and the best part was that I REALLY had no clue as to how this would end. What a tough match to book! Based on RP, either guy could win (I did like JJ's promos more), and based on straight up booking, a loss here hurts either guy. I did not envy the decision-makers on this one. In the end, the decision to have JJ win via cheating instead of clean as he promised was wise. Given the chickensh*t antics he constantly pulls, JJ really has no business getting a clean win over Impulse right now. That would hurt Impulse too much and would be a net negative to the league, so the finish here was more than appropriate. The one thing I didn't like was Calico Rose superkicking JJ. How does that look when Impulse's woman has gotten one-up on JJ more than he has? It looks like his lady friend can take care of business better than he can. There was really no reason for it, and on top of that, it makes JJ look like even more of a p*ssy. Not a major complaint though. I want to see Impulse go in a new, unexpected direction. His circumstances are starting to a grow a bit stale.

HOF - Some of Troy's best material in a while! The OKC minority ownership stake line was hilarious, and I hope he continues with that schtick! Best part IMO was that the segment really sold Troy's desire, near desperation to get his match with Randalls. And I love that Randalls isn't giving it to him just yet. What is his price? I'm interested to see.

TRIPLE CROWN MATCH - Whole lot of action here. Probably a bit too much going on here at once, but that was kind of hard to avoid at the get-go. The entire ending sequence was fantastic, and I was truly convinced that Deacon was going over, so Rook's victory was a fun surprise (should we be surprised at this point? Rook seems to always come out on top!). I am a fan of match dialogue, but I think Pants went a little overboard with that at times. All in all, I'd give it 3.5 out of 5 stars. Can't stress enough how much I liked the finish, so kudos to Pants for that.

Burning Questions -
Great dialogue, but I kind of didn't get the point. Why is Randalls pissed at Eddie, exactly? Because he's let paperwork pile up? What pissed Randalls off so much about how the show was run? Troy getting a HOF segment? Again, I might've missed something obvious, but it just kind of perplexed me.

Overall I really liked the show. Nothing but solid storyline progression that leads me to believe something big is coming up. 4 out of 5 stars!

Thanks Billy! Credit where it's due: I'm pretty sure that everything you liked about the finish came of Katz transitioning what I had to the finish he did. :)
