Brief thoughts on Supercrash 3:
-Team NFW vs. Team Windham: The thread lived up to the hype and more. THAT is what a main event thread is supposed to look like! Gregg was on fire- probably his best, most impressive output since Gold Rush. Pete actually got better with Impulse, which is scary, and really put up some solid RPs. Siegel's RP was some of the better stuff I've seen from Cruise, as well. JN and Brunk just went nuts with the trash talk, motivating each other with classic Ryan/Mayfield "slap you in the face with my dick" type stuff. That's a couple of legendary characters throwing BOMBS, and it made for a great thread. I was also very pleased with my own RPs. This is one of those threads I'll definitely look back on as a classic, as I had the pleasure of throwing down with some of the best writers in the history of this weird, obscure game. Can't wait to read the match, which I'm 1,000% certain Gregg is going to make an instant classic.
-JN WAS A BEAST! I figured he'd show up with an RP, maybe two, but he actually wrote more than I did! Awesome. Never got to face you in a match directly, so it was great to have that tag match. RPing Peter Windham against HWC was a fun time.
-Nat Title: Once again, big match, and everybody showed up big. 13 is a great character, already one of my favorites in NFW. I'm rooting for him to take home the gold (is it gold?).
-TV title: I think most of the RP came from guys who aren't even in the match! Weird but exciting to see Stalker in NFW; I've always associated him with EPW. He's one of the better heels in the game today, so welcome aboard! Shawn Hart brought his A game, and he'll probably have the TV Title before long if he keeps it up. Legion and High Flyer were very good, and I enjoyed the back and forth between HF and Stalker. Biron really has something good with Jack Bryant. Of everyone in the thread, he impressed me the most. Don't wanna get ahead of myself, but he shows glimpses of Shane Southern. So don't disappear, Biron, 'cause you've got a great character there.
Overall, SC3 had some of the best output of any NFW card in a while, including Crash 50. So let's hope it's not the biggest letdown in lag-time since Crash 50.
I have a feeling this card will be out rather quickly, since everyone seems motivated at once. The big TV title matches have a history of setting high marks around here, and I intend to continue that when I write the TV Ladder Match. As the recent TV title holder, I feel it's my obligation to deliver a match that lives up to some of the great ones like the Sears Tower and Battle Royal matches.
